Service was great, room was spacious and clean and amenities were just what we needed. Perfect for visiting a friend at the university and central for shops, restaurants and all of the sights.

We loved the location…Bedroom was amazing…we only seen two members of staff in the hotel on our stay but they were great..we were very disappointed the restaurant wasn’t opened,we got told it closed in 2022 and didn’t ever open again…. But breakfast was very good..we would definitely give the hotel a 5* but there was no atmosphere in the hotel very quiet nobody using the bar area…so it felt more like a 5*apartment…

They gave us a upgrade on arrival first class.This is our third stay great location no faults at all.

Well located hotel with nice decor and lovely spa. We were shocked however to discover that all room key cards opened every room. We discovered this when a member of our party forgot her room name and accidentally opened someone else's. She checked and was able to open our room too. We raised it with a staff member who innocently confirmed that this was how room keys were programmed. I think it's completely unacceptable.

Last minute decision to stay at the hotel whilst on a trip travelling across Scotland. We arrived around 4pm and were met with friendly staff and were promptly shown to our room. the whole hotel was beatufully deocroated and the room was super comfortable. Couple of maintenance issues such as door handle to the room coming away from the door and toiletries basket within the shower cubicle was not fully secured with the rawl plugs coming out of the wall. there was also no kettle in the room but should have been, did not ask for one as we did not want to use it for the short stay I am sure with how the rest of the service was this would have been rectified quickly had we contacted reception. No food that night in the restauraunt due to the chef being sick however staff were so apologetic and more than willing to help with recommendations and booking other locations. Room had individual toiletries and soap bar for hand washing meaning a lot of plastic waste, would have been better to have large bottles that can be refilled and liquid had soap to save wastage

Beautiful hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Convenient location. Tip for Americans: When booking in these classic hotels, ask if they have air conditioning and an elevator. This hotel does not have either which wasn’t an issue for us but might have been a different time of the year.

The room was lovely, however it was very noisy as it faced onto a busy street.

All very pretty, but lacked functionality. Lovely fancy coffee making machine- that did not work. Not cleaned to the standard that I would expect for the price paid ( dust on coffee table and bathroom floor). Breakfast was disappointing as the bacon was dried out to the point that I could not cut it and the scrambled eggs had not been cooked enough. Despite both my partner and I both leaving the same thing on our plates, we were not asked at that point or at any other time whilst we were eating if everything was ok.

Great location and nice staff. WiFi was very poor, although the hotel said this was being fixed. Be wary to the seagulls - they are very loud. If you need to open the window to keep the room cool (no air conditioning) then this can be quite annoying!

Yeah enjoyed but was told two days after booked spa was closed, also Expedia was &100 more expensive than hotel as they gave me receipts with price on it

Our first trip away after months of lockdown was a bit of a disappointment to say the least! At no point in any advertising does this hotel say that breakfast is delivered to your room in a cardboard box. A totally unappetising, unappealing and unhealthy ‘breakfast’ arrived at the bedroom door at 07:30, which we were expected to eat on our bed due to the cramped interior of our ‘superior deluxe’ room!! The poor breakfast choice of chocolate muffins, croissants and biscuits/cheese improved slightly on our second morning when fresh fruit replaced the high fat, high carb contents of the previous day. Also beware that bottled water is not complimentary, which is astonishing for a ‘5 star’ Hotel!! The staff however are lovely and very helpful. Special thanks to Rab and Monica. Michael the Hotel Manager did his best to make our stay pleasant, but considering the high price of a stay in this establishment they need to up the game with their poor hospitality!!!!

The hotel was fabulous! There was great attention to detail in the room - from underfloor heating & heated towel rail in the bathroom to everything needed (including both kettle & Nespresso machine) in the bedroom. Staff was incredibly friendly & helpful. We enjoyed it tremendously!
