Probably the best experience we’ve had a hotel — and we are not young. Everything was impeccable: the customer service: the restaurant; the rooftop bar; the concierges and Bess staff were especially accommodating. Only thing — don’t come for a poolside vacation. There’s only a wading pool with 4 deck chairs. :).
Finally, the location is perfect for tourists or business trips.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Almanac in Barcelona prior to going on our cruise. The hotel and its staff were informative, pleasant and welcoming, The hotel is in a great location and has fantastic amenities. This is our second stay at the hotel and highly recommend it.

Although our experience was wonderful and most of it due to the staff. There are some areas of improvement. For example the AC was not cold at all, even after having it blasting on the max setting for hours. We ordered room service on night and the food was not tasty and it was expensive. Word of advice DONT order room service, better just walk and hit any of the nearby restaurants, better prices and wayyyy tastier food.

The most beautiful hotel. Amazing roof top bar. Incredible views of the city. Spacious room with plenty of storage and room to relax.

The good:
1. Clean rooms and relatively large
2. Great location and a helpful concierge
The bad:
1. Sensor for the room key broke and we were stuck outside our room for a while. The management did nothing to help compensate for this which we would expect for a 5 star hotel.
2. WiFi was terrible. To the point where we could not send emails or do any work. The staff needed to be reminded 3 times to fix this.
3. Gym is functional but tiny.
Bottom line, for 500-600 EUR a night this place is incredibly overpriced. Appropriate price range is probably 200-300. I’m a fan of luxury properties and I would never stay here again.

This hotel was fantastic. Amazing staff and service, beautiful design, wonderful rooms with comfortable beds. Very convenient to the Gothic quarter.

It was the best stay ever. Especially Somi, the doorman(I am not sure if I remember his name correctly, but I heard that he's from Mumbai) was really kind and helpful. Not only him, everyone in this hotel was wonderful. If i visit barcelona again, i will definitely stay here. And breakfast is really nice, too. I love carrot cake and tuna sandwich.

Besides being a 5-star hotel, what stood out to our family was the staff who went above and beyond to attend to our needs and just making us feel extra special. Special thanks to the all hotel reception staff especially Sabriena (don't recall exact spelling but the one from Italy) and Sameer who helped us with long term storage of our luggage and was exceptionally helpful. We will certainly be back on our next trip to Barcelona!

Great location. Nice rooms. Concierge was ok but front of house staff were a little frosty (but that could be a language barrier).

Staff was very friendly & helpful. In-room technology is impressive. Control curtains, temp and lights from bedside. Location is perfect for walking to various sites like the Cathedral, La Rambla & Sagrada Familia. Great value. Highly recommend esp if you’re a first-timer to Barcelona.

Amazing, amazing, amazing hotel with the greatest staff ever and beautiful rooms and views. The rooftop bar is wonderful. Extremely pleasant stay. Location doesn’t feel completely secure at night but it is perfectly situated so everything to see in Barcelona is walkable.
The lack of a breakfast room service menu is a problem as was a real lack of consistency in what we ordered - we ended up going out to pick up breakfast most mornings. Also there were some disparities between the Expedia listing and what we ended up getting but in the end the atmosphere and staff more than made up for any hotel issues. Great place to stay!!

House keeping was just terrible. This is not a 5star hotel ! Four seasons is a 5 star hotel.
I had a room with a a balcony which cost a lot of $$$ however I had a view of a wall and a stair case. The other rooms with a balcony facing the street stayed empty for my entire stay but no one care to get me upgraded, four Seasons would ! I stayed in 4 hotels on my trip to Spain this one was not a good one bc management is not in charge.
Good things were Marcin working the breakfast and a girl from LA working on the 8th floor

Great hotel! We have stayed at the other top hotels and thought we would try something different. This was an absolute surprise for us. Great location. Beautiful design. Bathroom could be better - odd design and didn’t have tub in our suite. Service was wonderful. Amazing restaurant for lunch or dinner. Breakfast was great. Room service could use improvement. Rooftop was lovely. As good as the Mandarin Oriental but much lower price. Exponentially better than the Hotel Arts or the Magestic for similar price. We definitely will be staying here one our future visits to Barcelona.

We really enjoyed our stay at Almanac! The rooms were large and very clean the the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is located in a great area of Barcelona which made it very easy to get around the city.
I highly recommend this hotel!

Property is definitely not a 5star property. It is also above an underground train station so you often hear the rumble of the train. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, housekeeping not so great..
