A beautiful hotel with a fantastic roof top bar. Very clean and tidy and close to everything. Friendly staff, very comfortable stay and highly recommend

Excellent location and staff. Great breakfast. But the lift (elevator) gets very busy and crowded at times. Can be frustrating. Overall, I would highly recommend for a short stay.

Location is convenient and the room was nice. Restaurant is entirely overpriced, understaffed and with rude employees. The included breakfast isn’t necessarily all included. Any protein they serve to you (rather than a buffet) and then ask for a tip. I would not stay here again.

Amazing design

A warm greeting with champagne sure goes a long way in my book. Classy but not fussy describes our delightful check-in experience. A clean, spacious room with a comfortable bed welcomed us upstairs. While the clientelle seemed more interested in Armani rather than Amadeus, the staff stayed cool amid the throng of the Hermes set. A bit beyond our budget, but for a splurge, it was great. As long as you don't mind getting THE look from people with shiny shoes and hilariously over-inflated egos (and lips), you'll be glad you came here. The breakfast buffet and restaurant views made our brief stay well worth it.

Parking was about 1/2 km away, it was difficult to unload baggage at the front door. The bathroom was so dark, in fact I couldn’t put my makeup on in the bathroom. The water in the morning was warm at best but in the evening was perfectly fine. The coffee maker in the room was dirty, we never drank any of it. This hotel was not a high end establishment, it was a ok but not worth the money.

Property was better than expected. With the exception of a delayed check in, it was great. The room was small so not good for a lot of luggage. Staff was very friendly and informative about the area.

The hotel was in the best location in Salzburg but because of that you are in the junction with the traffic lights next to your bedroom especially in the first floor! The room was quite small! I didn’t tried the breakfast! For the money I paid I’m not very satisfied but because of the location I would choose that again!

Hotel Stein checks all the boxes: an unbeatable location, a spectacular breakfast space with a jaw-dropping view of the altstadt, competent staff --all at a fairly reasonable price.

Lovely, small hotel with rooftop terrace. Noise from outside of room was a bit of an issue, but not too much. We were on 1st floor with town view. Hotel staff very nice & helpful

Really nice facilities. Room was small and poor view. No kettle or coffee/tea facilities. Welcome was amazing, very friendly. Didn't do breakfast, we felt it was expensive. Rooftop was amazing in the evening

The perfect location for all things Salzburg. You could walk everywhere. There are tons of restaurants, bars and shopping within a few steps. The rooftop restaurant has the best views in the city! The beds are comfortable, the shower was nice and had USB/HDMI options. One thing that could be better was a smart tv in the rooms.

The is a beautiful hotel. It was in a great location, very clean and the staff was super helpful and graceful. The products in the room was very luxurious and if it was not international travel I would buy them. Rooftop was lovely, but it rained so no outside seating. Would definitely stay again.

The property is beautiful and perfectly located, all the staff we encountered were absolutely amazing. The city view from the rooftop restaurant was very nice. Our only, only wish is that while at the rooftop restaurant had a slightly larger selection of dining options as it would have certainly would have given us a bit of encouragement have a few additional items, drinks and just stay and enjoy atmosphere a bit longer.

I would suggest Hotel Stein to everyone. Great experience, amazing accommodation, staff, and top of the roof top restaurant was amazing!!

Was there for 2 nights on vacation. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room clean and comfortable. Location was perfect right on the river

Hotel Stein was the perfect place to stay in Salzburg. Beautiful, art deco style, wonderful staff, clean room and easy walk to restaurants and shops. We had a wonder breakfast on the rooftop and initiated a tour to Hallstatt from the front door. I would definitely stay there again.

This was a good hotel which met my needs. It was in a great location and although we were early, they allowed us to shower which was fabulous. The staff could have been a little warmer

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Stein. It was in a great location overlooking the Old Town. They allowed us to use the spa to have a shower as we had arrived early. Saying that some of the staff could have been warmer. Hotel met our needs.
