If it's convenience to the train station and rental car offices you need, this could be the right place for you. It was easy to find and just a few doors down to all of the major car rental offices. It is practical and good for a one night stay. You can add a breakfast for a reasonable fee. The check-in host was fluent in both French and English.

Great place to spend the night after arriving on the train. There were a lot of stairs to my room, and the room was a bit small, but otherwise a great place to stay.

It was the perfect landing spot to catch our train the next morning to Paris. Clean and comfortable and we found an awesome restaurant a few blocks away.

Traveling on business and stayed there as many of the hotels in town were fully booked.
You get what you pay for. It’s a small basic hotel that does the job for a quick overnight stay.
There wasn’t anyone at the counter when I came in so had to ring the bell. Someone eventually came to serve me and he was nice and quickly gave me my key to the room. Can’t say much more about the service as didn’t see anyone after that.

- bad area of the city. A lot of people hanging out and doing drugs around the hotel. Would avoid going out at night
- no AC
- no elevator
- foul odor coming from the bathroom

The hotel itself was clean and "satisfactory", but the area was not one I would want to be out in at night. I know it's near the train station, but it felt especially unsafe. The clerk running the front desk seemed "out of it". We asked for a fan, which he was happy to bring up to the room, but he LET HIMSELF IN to deliver it. As two women staying in the hotel alone, it felt VERY unsafe.

The fellow at the desk was so helpful. The place was a good deal for the price. It was very clean. We were close to the bus station. Not much for close restaurants. The sushi place next door was good though.

Super clean and very helpful staff. All we needed for a short stay and very handy for public transport links. The area is a bit grubby like all stations but once inside you are safe and it’s very quiet. Extra points for the service which was over and above.

Stayed two nights at Hotel Mary’s. The staff were very helpful and willing to call taxis etc.
Although I travelled alone I booked a double room. It was quite small for two people, but fine for me. The room had good facilities with everything you could need. The bed was very comfortable and I slept very well on both nights.
Everything was extremely clean, especially the bathroom! Fantastic shower, powerful and hot!
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a reasonably priced hotel in Caen!

Mary's hotel is well located across the road from the train station and tram stop. The room was clean and well presented and the bed was comfortable. Mary the host, was very welcoming. We would stay here again.

This is an old-school, traditional French hotel, clean, friendly, with no elevator, AC, or bell hop.
Stayed during a record breaking heat wave and it was comfortable. Ask Mary for the local map and have her mark the train tracks and hotel.

The woman who was running the hotel when we arrived was very nice, helpful and had a great sense of humor. She served a very nice continental breakfast which was so helpful as we were taking an early morning train.

As an American tourist I felt safe. This is right across from the train station and several places to eat. It is in a busy enough area—yet quiet.
The owner, Mary, was the highlight as she was friendly, helpful, and social.

Very comfortable and clean, perfectly situated for the station and trams, and an easy walk into the town centre. The decorators were working in the hallways as we left, and when I reported a non-functioning shaver socket Mary made a note straightaway to get it fixed. Mary was extremely helpful with recommending places to eat and visit. (No evening meals available in the dining room, but breakfast was good.)

After travelling for 7 weeks we stayed here the night before going to Paris, as it was across the road from the train station. The Owner Mary was an absolute delight and really made our stay! So friendly and helpful and the breakfast for €8 was perfect and great value. Very comfortable bed and the best pillows. One of our best finds with convenience and comfort. Easy 15 tram trip into the old town and to Abbaye aux Hommes. 25 min. walk back to the hotel. Lots of places to eat nearby.

Very helpful staff - she went to great lengths to recommend various restaurants to us and point out their locations/names on a map. She also took our bag up to our room. We were able to store our bags before check in and after check out with no concern.
Everything was clean, comfortable and modern. close to the train station, tram available right outside and walkable to the center of Caen.

Great location and staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was really nice and shower amazing. Parking was the only problem really

The room was very clean and looked newly renovated. The manager was amazing and so helpful to us. She provided us feedback on places to go see in the area. It was close to the bus and train station so was somewhat loader. Also, it is right next to a bar that one evening was very loud and there was a ruckus that police came to attend to. We wish the location was better but it worked for the 2 days that we were there.
