Views were superb for miles. Quiet yet picturesque. Food was excellent and used locally sourced produce. Staff were very polite and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful stay with a delicious menu. Thanks everyone for a wonderful stay.

So nice to have somewhere to eat and stay that doesn't allow dogs. Husband has allergies and it is becoming more difficult to find places that are dog free. Room was excellent and spacious. Evening meal was perfect and a very good breakfast. Wonderful views. Perfect place to stay.

I had a lovely weekend at The Barrel Inn. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The food both at breakfast and in the evening was delightful. The staff were welcoming, which as a single traveler, is always appreciated. The location was ideal for walking with spectacular views. I recommend this establishment without reservation and will definitely return.

We stayed for 2 nights. We received a warm welcome, our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Breakfast was superb and the staff were just lovely what a pleasure

Great pub with excellent accommodation (stayed in the 'Puncheon Room') which was well appointed, comfortable bed, lovely spacious bathroom.
Had evening meal and breakfast at the pub, both were excellent (can fully recommend the 'Peak district roast leg of Lamb'), and good breakfast option of full English and granola/yoghurt/fruit.
Outstanding location which is stunning on a sunny evening. Can happily recommend for any type or length of stay.

A lovely country pub, staff friendly and helpful. Owners both friendly and 'hands on'.The room we were in (PIN Room) was very small and so we will pay extra on future visits for a larger room.Food excellent. All in all a good time was had by us both, and we are looking forward to our next visit.

We had an overnight stay and it was perfect for that. Rooms were on the 'cosy' side but thoroughly enjoyable. Great views to wake up to in the morning, even if it was raining.
