good location

Convenient 3 minutes walk from Kyoto station and room was very small but clean. The only thing was the washer and dryer don’t work well. And there’s only two each and have to wait for a while. Other than that it was a great stay.

Very conveniently located near Kyoto station, about 10 mins walking. Nearby there are convenience stores and a couple of restaurants. The room is small but as most rooms in Japan. There is no wardrobe, just some hangers. What I didn’t like was that the fridge wasn’t working. We complained at the reception twice, one person told us that it worked it just that wasn’t cooling enough because some excuse about the hotel being small or some cooling system, but the air conditioning was very high. Another person told us that maintenance team wasn’t available due to the holiday (Golden Week) and to not keep anything in the fridge. About the eco-friendliness, they have all amenities in the lobby so you take only what you need which I think is great. But they changed the towels every day even if you don’t leave them on the floor as in many other hotels around the world.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location very close to the Kyoto Station.

Nice place a few minutes walk from the main Kyoto train station. The room was larger than in most Japanese hotels that I’ve seen —the bathroom was huge by Japanese standards. Otherwise not much to say, safe, efficient spotless as is the Japanese norm. Highly recommend.

Very accessible for public transportation, easy check in/out, v clean. Would recommend and book again.

I booked a twin beds room for 3 nights. First, I checked in at 2pm, but been told that my room was not ready. Returned to the hotel at 5pm, then been told there was no twin beds room available although I paid extra for it. The hotel manager tried to put me in a room on the ground floor without any windows. After a long and unnecessary conversation, we got offered to a room with a king size bed.

No frills but nice value

The staff was cold to the point of impolite. We asked for a replacement tea kettle as the one they provided in the room was not working and they told us to go to the room and wait. We never received a replacement.

Everytime i come to Kyoto i stay at this hotel, clean, small, quiet, and very conveniently located. Great price for what you get

I love that this hotel is less than a 5 minute walk to the Kyoto train station and being on the south side sees fewer tourists. The staff here are wonderful but be forewarned you are best served having earplugs because you can hear a pin drop on the sidewalk…..even if you’re on the 6th floor.

I use this hotel as my base for my annual Japan vacay. All is good, the only downside remains the level of noise heard from the street, even though my room is on the 6th floor. One word: earplugs are a must 😉

Nice stay in a great location. Our room was quite small so no where to put our suitcases. Bathroom was also tiny which didn’t matter too much. Value for money on this hotel was excellent so can’t complain too much. Kyoto station on its doorstep with many supermarkets which is handy. Recommend highly!

Hotel is very convenient and spacious compared to my hotel in Tokyo. Their check in time is strictly 1500 so I had to pay a bit to check in early. Hotel was very accommodating and staff was helpful for the most part, regardless of the language barrier. I would definitely recommend this hotel as it was about six minutes away from the Kyoto Station. If I were to visit Kyoto again, I will definitely stay here again.

We were first time visitors not only to the hotel, but also to Japan. The desk clerk, though limited English, was very patient and helpful while checking us in. We found the room cozy and comfortable. The only downside was that taking the key, when you leave the room, shuts off everything in the room including the AC! The upside, the AC unit cools the room rather quickly. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Kyoto!

Hotel is very near Kyoto Station. The room was small but well layed out and functional. Room was very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Only down side was we needed to borrow a clothes iron but was told the hotel doesn't have clothes irons despite their website saying irons are available. Would stay again.

Very close to Kyoto station and convenient to Shinkansen. Check in was very smooth. Room was clean and spacious. Value for money in every aspect.

Great hotel!

Quiet, clean, brand new facility, friendly staff. Very close to Kyoto's transportation hub Kyoto Station.

The room was nice, small but comfortable. Theres chair, table, which are good enough to use. Just couldnt enough space to open up 2 suitcases though. There were a leg messager provided in the room, it really helped after a long day walking. It was a plus! Check in check out were good and easy, staffs were very polite. Its an easy access to Kyoto station from the hotel.

A clean and convenient place to stay at in Kyoto, and within easy walking distance of the main train station.

Three people in a superior deluxe room is extremely cramp. Beds were too large for the room and walkway around the bed were too tight. No room for luggage to be opened easily without playing musical luggage. Room would have better serve with slimmer beds and creating more space other than just sleeping space. The architect should have been fired for the design

A very nice stay. The room was very small for 2 people. But a lovely time in a very great space.
