Very nice and central hotel !! Very clean but at the same time lot of people if you dont like the mass this hotel is not for you. Otherwise great

It was amazing

I would expect much more from a hotel when I'm coming for my wife's birthday. A note is a minimum. We received much more all around the world. You should do something with banging doors, especially service doors banging from 6 o'clock in the morning ,not letting you sleep

The TV did not work and the safe neither.

Great hotel experience overall! Located in the Plaza España which is walkable and close to dining and shopping. Next to hop on hop off bus stop for city tours. Great buffet breakfast and rooftop bar!

Fabulous hotel in a very central location. Terrific customer service and our room on the 19th floor enabled spectacular views. Outstanding buffet breakfast was value for money and the staff were very courteous and friendly

I love the location of the Roy as it is close to everything Gran Via. Metro station, bus stops, shopping, etc. The staff was great and helpful but it is such a busy hotel that you may experience waiting lines for check in, breakfast and elevators. The top terrace is the best.

Riu hotel in excellent location, Metro station right outside the hotel. Bars & restaurant near by. Everywhere is within a short walk away.

Excellent stay with wife. Only issue is rooftop bar was overcrowded. All personnel were very friendly an helpful.

Our recent stay at Hotel Riu Plaza Espana was exceptional! Everyone from the door person to the servers in the rooftop restaurant was top notch! Highly recommend staying here when you are in Madrid.

This is a great hotel if you want to be in Madrid central and close to a lot of the tourist sites. They are also great for families. The hotel also has a beautiful view from their rooftop bar.

We stayed here during our trip to Spain in July 2024. First, as we arrived, we got upgraded to a room with a view of the plaza - it was stunning. We didn't feel the need to go to the rooftop bar to see the view as we could see it from our room! The last night we could see the crowds gathered in the plaza cheering on the home team during the Olympics. Second, the location is so central to many things especially the popular tourist attractions. Many bus routes and the metro are right there. And it is half a block away from the 001 bus which is actually free and goes to many of the tourist attractions like the Reina Sofia and Prado museums as well as the last stop being the train station. We ended up just taking the 001 bus to get to our train to Barcelona. The staff are all super nice and friendly, the rooms are clean, they have the breakfast buffet lines down to a science, we never had to wait for a table. And there were so many options. The rooms were very spacious with a seating area, decent size bathroom, and space for all our luggage. The beds were nice and firm and despite being on a busy street, we didn't really hear any traffic from our floor. If there were some nitpicks I have: 1. they didn't have any complimentary slippers or toiletries like Q-tips in the room 2. often times you have to wait to catch an elevator especially during peak times like morning. 3. the pool was extremely small and so crowded, we looked but didn't end up using it. otherwise a great hotel!

Beautiful hotel, close to everything, impeccable service. Rooftop bar a lot of fun for a drink. Breakfast very good. Overall excelente stay.

Really friendly and helpful. Quick process Room was huge! we over slept so missed breakfast… The pool was smaller than imagined given the size of the hotel - which was a shame and soooo cold! again friendly staff! check out was stress free!
