The floors downstairs were wet on arrival. We were unable to get access to the property until 4.30pm instead of 4pm as advertised because it was still being cleaned. There was dried dog food on the kitchen floor.and food splash marks on the kitchen wall. The dish washer was full of dirty dishes. The dish washer was broken but we managed to fix it. The door shelf in the fridge was broken . Then we were told that the swimming pool was out of use for the duration of the holiday. One of the reasons we booked the holiday was for the swimming pool.

Excellent very clean

We holidayed for two nights with our dog at the beginning of october. The location of this resort was perfect and close to nearby towns and beach and we really enjoyed exploring. The beach is wonderful too. Unfortunately our flat was very unclean, bathroom was grubby, kitchen wasn’t that clean and the cups and dishes were actually filthy and some even bad food still stuck to them :( The space in the flat was enough for the three of us! However it was very uncomfortable… the chairs in the living room were uncomfortable and there wasn’t enough room for the three of us to relax. I think maybe a small corner sofa would have been better. Despite the condition of the flat, we made the most of our stay and would probably give it another chance. Purely based on location.

We stayed in a 2 bedroomed cottage. The site is beautifully kept and very clean. The cottage itself could do with more sturdy furniture settee too low for us arthritics, the lack of a mirror in any bedroom was a problem when drying hair. Also need to provide instruction for dishwasher, microwave cooker and hob. Lovely onsite facilities a more extensive menu in the pub would improve the holiday experience overall. Having said that we will be back ash had a great time despite a few issues.

Our room was lacking in any personal touches, no welcome pack of tea, coffee, not even handwash or soap in bathroom. Oven was provided but there no baking trays or grill pan to use in it. I think they were hoping you'd dine in the pub &/or pizzeria but reason we chose self catering was to do our own! And of course, with not providing any essentials such as tea & toiletries they were also probably hoping we'd use the onsite shop! We wanted to let reception know about a problem in the bathroom too on checking out, but staff were too busy chatting to even ask how the accom was.

The property was spacious and had everything I needed. The mattress on the bed had probably never been changed since the place was built and had lost any firmness it used to possess. I gained some respite by turning it over.

The apartment was only made available at the stated 4pm arrival time. The entire apartment had an extremely strong smell of dog which despite using lots of air freshener did not go away for the duration of the stay. There were hairs everywhere on the floor, chairs dining table. The dishes and cutlery had not been cleaned very well and had stains and an odour. No Wifi in apartment as listed. Tv in lounge did not work until checked at the rear the aerial cable had been jammed into the Aux outlet. Last date entered on cleaning rota wa 26/08/22, We checked in 30/08/22. Fan in bathroom extremely noisy and blind broken in living room area.Overall very poor condition and this appears to be a pattern with Away resorts as previous stays have not provided services as advertised when booking.

We were very happy with our first impression of the park and our appartment. Everything was very clean and tidy and all ww needed was provided.

Lovely place to stay everyone very friendly we stayed in an apartment which was very clean and tidy. There was a pub on site so lovely to sit outside in the sunshine also they have a shop and a chemist on site Great for dogs as the beach isn’t very far. and easy to get to Scarborough and Bridlington. Only downside was no internet but it wasn’t a big deal there was internet at the pub would highly recommend staying here.

Property ok ,pub on site very expensive and service not good,was given wrong route map spent time iooking for place ,given turn left at roundabout when it was strait on and first left if they carnt give you right directions to apartment they should not be working there?

Stayed in a self contained apartment with patio door off bedroom to shared gardens. Separate bathroom with bath over shower. Shower head and power poor. Towels looked new of good quality and travel toiletries provided. Good clean kitchenette with full cooker, fridge and dishwasher. Lack of glasses, frying pan and oven tray would bring your own. No wii fi in apartment. Some furniture tired looking and in need if repair. Venetian blinds on windows, no curtains, light shone through in bedroom. Nice clean site and access to a lovely beach. Restaurant good and reasonably priced cafe.

Communication from The Bay is poor, they send message through Hotels.com which appear scrambled, probably HTML origionaly. The check in was quick and simple.The 3 bed cottage was generally in a good clean state however maintenance is not checked.The radiator in the downstairs cloak room was pitted with rust and the outside furniture was in need of revarnishing.The rest of the cottage was in good condition this really let the property downThe pub resteraunt was easy to find, if expensive.A few hundred yards to the beach which is very wide and clean and you can walk into Filey from here.In general this is a nice place to stay

Lovely relaxing holiday

Excellent site with excellent houses and not caravans. The beach is a short walk away and lovely. There is lots to do in the local area too. The site just needs a general store (it has a chemist, pub and cafe) as there is nowhere to get everyday facilities.

The Bay Filey is in a great location, near a lovely beach. The property was ok, lacking any outside patio furniture.

Really lovely break given the circumstances. It was very easy to check in, amenities were closed due to CV restrictions but still enjoyed the beach and the apartment was a lovely place to call home for a few days

Due to cv19 all facilities were closed but the accommodation was really nice

Loved that the flat was clean and tidy, also the bed was very comfortable. Loved the food in the pub also
