The managers were sooo welcoming and thoughtful! His wife and him run a tight ship with cleanliness but allow kids to have fun and be kids! Will stay here over and over again!

Comfortable with a rustic feel, roomy

This was probably our favorite place to stay on our 6 day trip. It was spacious, roomy and comfortable. There were 5 of us, my 3 adult children, my wife and I, we all agreed that we would enjoy spending several days in a place like this one. Because of our experience we will definitely consider KOA facilities in the future.

First the positive - the cabin was beautiful and well stocked. The playground was fun with lots of kids for our kids to play with. However, we reserved a family loft and they gave us the wrong cabin. We had 3 beds for 6 people and really had to cram. When I explained that we made the reservation months ago, they said that there was nothing they could do and offered $10 in addition to the difference in the price of rooms. The website also says 1 min walk to the Painted Desert, but it is actually a 20 minute drive! Finally, the pool and playground are not nice.

What a great place to stay! The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The pool, playground and laundry facilities made it very family friendly. You can park right next to your cabin. There is a wonderful porch with a light for the evening. The staff was incredibly friendly.

We loved this cabin! It was perfect for what we needed. We would like to go back and stay longer.

We were very pleased with the cabin and everything that it offered. Enjoyed the patio area and has grill. Would definitely stay there again!

Cottages are awesome for families. Arrived a bit late (8pm?) and office closed but our key was outside in a sealed envelope with name on it. Cottages big and well equipped, walking distance to circle k. Only strange thing is the pets policy, which displayed this property on a pet friendly search, and there are pets all over the campground, but a no pets sign on the cottage doors?

Koa Halbrook’s staff is by far the best group of people I have ever dealt with. They went above and beyond to make sure we were completely happy and taken care of! So much so we scheduled a second trip a month from now! I also added some photos of the nearby Petrified Forest National Park

Great place to stay if you don’t want to go all out camping but still want the outdoorsy experience. Great place for a small family. Bunk beds for the kids and a nice seperate master area.

We checked in minutes after the office closed to discover that our cabin had not been cleaned and that the bathroom was a total nightmare. The toilet had obviously not been cleaned in at least a week, as there was urine and fecal matter smeared everywhere including a smiley face on the side of the toilet paper roll. There was hair all over the shower, and a ring of old mushy soap was under the “new” sealed soap. The whole place was very dusty and there were fingerprints all over the fridge and the microwave had crusty food baked on. I spent the first couple hours of our 1 night stay disinfecting and scrubbing the place. In the era of Covid-19, this is completely unacceptable! I attempted to discuss the state of the cabin with the lunatic at the front desk the next morning, but she started screaming at me that I was a liar and to get off her property. The people checking in after us are going to be leaving a rave review about cleanliness, but you need to ignore it. The sparkling nature of that cabin has everything to do with me and nothing to do with the losers who run this park.

Pool was closed. It was a good place to spend the night. I’m not sure that I would have wanted an extended stay there.
