Brilliant stay at Hotel Botanica. Good location, excellent breakfast, really great service. All in all, highly recommended.

The free breakfast was amazing. Ate between 9:15 and 10:00 am and didnt need to spend a cent on food until dinner. Very nice staff. Near a lot of restaurabts and bus stops.

Nice place for the price. The shower gets most of the bathroom wet but that is semi by design so it will drain. Otherwise they have everything you need and I’d recommend to friends.

I like the way they present breakfast I love it but I need to see more halal food for the future cos we was to family there and I’ve seen more people to so if they can serve halal food to and I like all the staff and very polite and respectful and thanx for given me My son phone 📱 I’ve forgot in room after a check out they found my phone and they call me next day and thanx for everything see you next time thanx again …

Hotel Botanika is a great place to stay when in Uppsala. The staff is quite friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is amazing, with lots of great choices. Being a budget hotel, the rooms are utilitarian, but had a certain chic about them. We would definitely stay there again!

The vibrant atmosphere at this hotel was like a hostel for adults. We enjoyed the games area, the bar and the fun vibe.

There are many great things about Botanika Uppsala. Excellent location, helpful staff, affordability, and free breakfast, to name a few. The downsides were the rooms themselves. Pretty threadbare (we were in a deluxe double which had a seating area with a couch,TV, and coffee table. No desk, chair(s), nightstands, or surface area in the bathroom to keep/store anything. The closets and floors were kinda dusty. The WiFi took some time to actually work but worked well after a few hours. A bit more care for travelers (e.g., extra pillows, at least one luggage rack, and nightstand/bathroom shelf would have made this a much better stay. Overall, fairly satisfied.

This to me is a hostel ( I was not aware of this prior to booking). For being a hostel, it is surprisingly clean, bed is more comfortable than it looks, pillows are super comfortable even though they look like couch pillows. The breakfast is surprisingly nice-not like the hotels in Uppsala but actually decent. I love that it’s the only accommodation in Uppsala where my morning coffee is burning hot instead of lukewarm! The staff is very friendly. Minus for the creaky floorboards in my room, I had no desk in the room (227) and when I am staying in Uppsala it’s for work so it’s one of those things I just expect to have. No phone, no water. You can hear everything outside your door. Nowhere to hang anything (no hooks). Very limited food options at the hostel restaurant.

Basic room but nicely decorated. I would have liked tea & coffee facilities and a hair dryer (although not a problem to borrow one from reception). The room was not regularly cleaned. I asked for this to be done but the room was only cleaned once during the 6 nights stay. Great breakfast including some Swedish specialities. Strong and full flavoured coffee, just like the Swedes prefer it. Bed was initially too hard for my liking but with an added top mattress, I slept like a baby! Great location, everything I needed was nearby.

What an amazing hotel! The staff go over the top to make your stay comfortable. It’s a quaint hotel that’s an older building so be prepared there’s no AC. We had a heat wave during our stay but there’s a store that sells fans right around the corner. Just make sure you leave your windows really open during the day to let the room cool down at night. The breakfast was really good with many options. I really can’t say enough good things about the staff. I was scammed by a taxi driver (btw, they should give you a firm price, not tell you it’s metered when coming from the airport) and the airport staff went to work trying to help me get my money back. Close to public transport and tourist places. Easy to get around. Comfortable bed and room and tons of plants!

Lets start with the positive: Extremely friendly and helpful staff and a very cozy bar. Overall we were happy with our stay - but there were a few flaws. Pillows are very small (half size of a normal pillow) - but no problem to get another one from reception. Ordered cleaning that never came - but got new towels from reception. Rooms are a bit tired and small and have no air conditioning - but beds are comfortable. Bathroom tiny and hardly room for an adult in the shower. When you shower the entire bathroom is soaked in water and you have a shower curtain sticking to your body the entire time. Not very nice. Breakfast very basic. Okay first day - but the second day the bread was so dry it must have been from the day before. Not good. Great and friendly vibe at the hotel bar (except for the horrible live band that played the first night). Amazing bar staff. But the hotel lacks some of the basics you can expect. If you don’t set your expectations too high and prioritize the vibe and friendly staff then the place is nice. If you prefer larger rooms with good amenities or a good hotel breakfast look elsewhere.

We paid for a family room for two adults and a child, but received a room with 3 bunk beds. This was a hostel room, much to our surprise. No frills, no comfort, unfortunately. While making our own beds we discovered crumbs under two of the three mattresses, and later we discovered a previous tenant’s sock wedged between another mattress and its frame. Frequent gurgles from the bathroom drain from usage in other rooms, and loud bass pounding from lounge or neighbouring bar past midnight contributed to an unpleasant stay. Breakfast was adequate but pancakes would have been nice, considering the amount of kids there were in the restaurant. There was a waffle maker but the queue was long. A second waffle maker or the addition of pancakes might make the food area less congested. Staff was friendly and location was great, but not enough to make us a want to book a future visit.

Central and hip hotel. Nice inner yards and games available. Modern atmosphere. Rooms neat and clean. Breakfast buffet included even waffles.

Personal was very helpful and nice.Room was clean. Me and my girlfriend like the bed so much that she wanted to steal it. Can be a bit to hard for some people.Parking on the street just across from the hotel.Very close to the city center and very easy to drive to.Breakfast buffé in the morning was great and much to choose from. Very relaxing atmosphere. Every time I will see some relatives, this will be the place to stay at.

The welcome lobby and bar are super

We only spent one night in the middle of the week but the young woman who worked the reception/bar took great care of us and was incredibly friendly. We went out for food but decided to go back to the hotel quite fast and decided to have a few drinks there because of how nice the hotel was.Regarding comfort we felt that this is where the hotel lacked. The bed we had was rough. It was not firm enough so it bottomed out into the all metal bedframe.
