Amazing Staff, Great Hotel & Brilliant Food!

I feel like because we booked through a third party, we got room 14, which over looked the garbage and recycling bins. Sleeping with our window open we were woken by very loud crashing sounds of bottles being thrown into the bins. Also, being a boutique pub hotel, there was no staff on and the building was locked until noon when the pub opened. We arrived early from the train station (11:30) and inquired of an early check in - we were told it would have been £25 but upon actually checking in later, we noticed on the bedroom wall the early/late check ins/outs were only £20….so not sure if they were trying to discourage us or… The staff were quite friendly though, and helpful.

Well appointed, nicely turned out hotel. Very comfortable and a nice, short walk from the town centre. Breakfast was delicious.

No way to warm the room that I could find. The bathroom had no rim to stop shower water from spreading all over the bathroom floor and making a mess.

This hotel stands out in Tamworth. Extremely friendly and helpful staff- nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are very well equipped, fresh and spotless. The kitchen delivers an exceptional Indian menu at a very competitive price. Well worth a visit, and only 5 mins from the National Memorial Arboretum.

Decent hotel, a short walk from the town centre. Food wasn’t to my taste at the hotel but plenty of options nearby. Staff were friendly and pleasant.

Lovely friendly place to stay.

The hotel was lovely and the staff. Unfortunately, the breakfast was very disappointing. We never book for breakfast included when we book hotels but the write up was so good we paid the extra to stay here and try it. When we came down to breakfast we were informed that as we were the only ones staying they didn’t bother getting the chef in. Nice! We were offered some toast which we had and then headed off into town to buy breakfast which then added to our expenses. We weren’t offered any refund. Very disappointing as the place was so lovely.

Stayed overnight - rooms recently refurbished and very clean and comfortable, excellent shower and despite overlooking main road - reasonably quiet. 4 of us had a curry (their speciality) and there were 4 empty plates! Excellent! We also had breakfast the next morning and this was fabulous too! I had masala beans on toast which was a wonderful spicy start to my day and my wife had a full english which was huge! Plenty of complimentary sundries too! The staff, including the owners - a lovely family from the Punjab region could not do enough for us - delightful. Would heartily recommend.

Perfect place to stay, lovely food and friendly staff

Clean and comfortable, with a good continental breakfast. Felt safe as a single traveler. The prawn Balti was lovely- but the pub fills up fast !

Beautifully decorated modern room. I was in one of the smaller rooms but it was perfect for a business stay, well laid out and impeccably clean. The food in the pub was brilliant and I massively recommend one of the mix grills from the Indian menu! Good choice of drinks too.

Room very small but functional, clean and great shower room The desk which was un-usable. Lap top on the bed was how it had to be done.

I travelled solo for business and the staff were very welcoming. The food in the restaurant was delicious, my only comment would be the breakfast is very good even though no cooked food and could be presented/ laid out a little better. The fact someone said it’s only continental make you think it’s not very good when in fact it’s extremely good with a toaster and waffle heater provided. The drinks are made freshly and presented in lovely clean crockery. Would recommend

Lovely people, bar and food. Only down side was the cooking fumes that you could visbly see in the room. No doubt this was bad luck due to the wind direction though

Clean, comfortable and run by friendly helpful staff. The professionally restored and well appointed “Bottom House” provides excellent accommodation within convenient walking distance to Tamworth’s town centre.

It was comfortable and pleasant. Maybe could be doing with more storage we stayed three nights and had to live out the suitcases. Staff were friendly and helpful, the food was really good too.

Great room for a one night stay over in Tamworth, clean and comfy bed. Staff were amazing. Very helpful and pleasant. Menu and food downstairs were absolutely incredible, best meal I’ve had in ages. Looking forward to staying again next trip over.
