Only stayed for one night. Staff helpful and friendly. Room was clean but not enough basic amenities such as toilet roll. We tried asking for more but the man did not understand us. Quilt on bed was ripped but clean. Not fussed on the bathroom layout. No privacy whilst in shower and not enough large towels provided. Would stay again as a good location. Did not try the reasturants or bar.

Room a little small, breakfast very good didn’t like the auto lights when visiting toilet through the night as it woke partner

The family and I have no complaints, the suite was very spacious, well equipped and clean. All necessities were present. I’ve enjoyed the breakfast as it has everything you need, This was more than adequate.

Great location, lovely room and hotel however the toilet was grim in the room. It had textured wall paper and you could see all splash marks on the wall paper when the light was on. It was quite gross really. All around the toilet and on the walls. It felt like a germ fest in there. Wipeable surface would be much better.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay - staff were excellent throughout, only downside was I’d booked for the rooftop terrace, but when we got up the sides had been drawn down and we were not allowed to have our drinks outside - the reason given was that it was too cold, but we’d have been fine outside for the time we were staying so not sure whether that was just a bit of a premature closure.

The hotel itself is lovely. Rooms are really nice - big bed, very modern decor. All great. The only thing is we chose this place for the fact that it lists it has parking but there definitely isn’t and parking nearby is £25/24 hours, which the hotel doesn’t comp.

Lovely, quirky hotel with easy access to the railway station, the wall, the river and central York. The room was comfy and quiet. Would definitely stay again.

Very average service. Not well informed. Parking incredibly expensive, small rooms, noisy.

Anniversary getaway. Staff very friendly in the bar and a good welcome on check in. Could leave bags with reception- no fuss. Steak was ok in the restaurant, but nothing to write home about.

Such a lovely place to stay in a great location. The staff at reception were so warm and welcoming, the Sora sky bar staff were excellent and everyone was so friendly. Very clean room, comfortable stay. Overall, highly recommend it!

The majority was great except breakfast is very confusing. Nobody explained to us what was included and what wasn't and the menu has prices of £25 on for all the hot food so after a lot of confusion and having to go to multiple staff members, we eventually got there. And the hotel advertises parking but we weren't able to use it because it was full so we had to pay for the ridiculously expensive NCP.

Given how expensive this hotel is, one would have thought breakfast would be included. Disgraceful how hotels are charging so much for so little.

We had a great one night stay visiting York. The hotel is in an ideal location near the train station however we chose to drive and use the NCP car park around the corner. Definitely recommend a visit to the rooftop sky bar Sora but make sure you book in advance! Amazing food and drinks. Will definitely stay here again when we visit York

We didn’t use any facilities during our stay but what a lovely hotel! The room was clean and decorated to a high standard, would love to stay again and make full use of facilities.

Amazing place to stay close to centre

This was one of the best hotels we've been too. It is walkable to the train station. We stayed 5 nights and we should have booked more days. It was in close proximity to all the sights in York. The staffcwas great, especially Jamie. I would highly recommend.

One night stay, lovely comfortable room and great location. Parked in nearby NCP car park and got discount from hotel which was great. View from rooftop bar is amazing although you need to book in advance to get a seat(you get a limited amount of time and are asked to leave when your time is up, it gets busy), Service was a bit hit & Miss and drinks menu a bit dissapointing to be honest. View is worth visiitng for a quick drink but I wont be in a rush to go back. Check-in was a bit slow as only one person running desk. Only one lift was working on checkout day so waited a while to get a lift down from 4th floor. Only two lifts in a hotel this size is disappointing. But other than that... its a lovely hotel and would stay again.

Spacious room with all required amenities - very powerful shower! Excellent location in the city centre.

Good food, excellent service in the restaraunt

Hotel advertises its roof top bar which was the whole reason we booked. When we got there went to book in only to be told it was fully booked all day. Only one table being used at the time. Unable to even have a drink for an hour. Staff were very unhelpful. Very disappointing. Parking terrible Ncp car park which was so tight to park in and very expensive. Given a disabled room and not even asked if this was ok.

Good location with easy access to York City Centre. Some of the staff are a little brusque though, especially in the rooftop bar. A gentle reminder that a kind word is a lot better than a blunt one.

Beautiful hotel, upgraded us to a room with a view and sorted out the cot for our baby son!
