I repeat DO NOT book here EVER. I checked in on Friday, 7/19/24 took about 40mins to do so as the Front Desk was arguing w/ customers in front of everyone waiting. I went to my room dropped off my bags went to dinner. Came back a few hrs. later walked in our room & it had an infestation of roaches. I took pictures immediately. Grabbed my stuff & ran out. Another family on the same floor across from my room said they had the same experience. Went to the front desk and was quiet about it. I didn't want to make a scene since other customers were checking in. I asked for a refund & they said NO & offered me another room. I said NO I will book w/ another hotel chain. If two rooms have an infestation I'm sure the whole building does. They declined & said rudely take it up w/ Expedia who I booked with. And as I was walking out the front desk lady in front of other customer yelled "yeah we have rats too" & laughed. This is the worst experience I ever had w/ customer service at any hotel chain. And I'm still going back & forth to get my money back.

Location is perfect near beach boardwalk, clean, small town feeling. Breakfast could be organized better, building is showing its age, laundry could be cleaner. Overall we liked it, would definitely come back and recommend it

Worst customer service i have ever seen. Could not stay here because i never got a hold of anyone. 2 hours combined in two days on hold. When we did get a person we were put on hold 4 times! No way to recover lost money. I will make sure i am on any class action lawsuits against them!!

Really, when I arrived, i didn’t like the treatment at the reception, no friendly, no feel welcome. However the the cleaning staff were very friendly

everything was great! from the moment we checked in fernanda at the front desk accomodated ua to a room closer to the pool since we had the kids so grateful for her! the convinience store was a must for our kids! the pool was cleaned every morning which was amazing and so mind easing. i would deff r3ccomens but rooms can use a little bit of tlc. the bed were super comfy too! the kids loved their pullout couch!

They watch over many properties, you will be placed in another property than the one you signed up for, be aware

It’s really too bad that this hotel was so dismal. Great location, but room was run down and not very clean. Bad odors, sandy floors, grubby bathroom, and cheap towels. The checkin staff is just awful and don’t care about the guests. There are really NO amenities so the resort fee is completely unnecessary. The owners of this place should step it up before the properties are run into the ground. A little bit of extra effort would go a long way. Big Boos for this hotel group!

Not enough stuff on reception (one reception for multiple hotels). You’ll be waiting around one hour in line. Nothing inside the room, I mean nothing, not even plastic glasses (but rooms have a kitchen). But they will charge you extra fee for service, for parking, ect. Yes, they do not disclose all cost up front, they will surprise you on the front desk with multiple new fees after hour waiting in line.

I cannot review Ocean's Sound as we were given a room at a different hotel. We arrived at check-in around 12:00 a.m. due to a late flight. Check-in was a madhouse (to no fault of the kind workers). The people who were working did everything they could to keep the line moving, but people from the outside were trying to cut in line, etc. It was nuts. However, we went over to the front desk to ask about renting beach chairs in the middle of the day and there was no one in there. I would try to get to check-in in the morning. The rooms were okay. Nothing spectacular, but were just fine for us. We are by no means high maintenance so if you are, I would look elsewhere. Overall, we do plan on going back. Just know that where you book a room may not actually be where you stay.

Great location

It was renovated, but they forgot to finish some things. Unit 14 needs: A working exhaust system in the bathroom A way to not have water accumulating all over the bathroom floor in a huge puddle: maybe put a drain in the bathroom floor outside of the shower area (that would fix it and seems like the easiest solution), or a better placed shower head/shower wall, as all the water from the shower goes straight to the floor outside of the shower area. I stayed at other units/buildings of this hotel complex, and this was not a problem anywhere else, just this unit. Also, they forgot to finish the door to the unit, it needs a floor board, or some way to not have a huge gap on the bottom of the entrance door. I staffed used towels in there, but that does not seem right. I should have probably asked them to fix that while I was there, it's probably an easy fix. Housekeeping was thorough and friendly, overall people working there are nice. Great location.

Beach motel

Upon arrival, no one was there to help me out. The office is located two blocks down the street which I was not informed of. The room itself was terrible. It was dirty there were roaches the bathroom. The kitchen had no dishes plates, knives, glasses, spoons, or forks, or pots and pans. It was completely useless. There was a broken picnic table and a broken chair in the kitchen. The furniture was old and tattered. The floor in the living room was damaged. You do not have oceanfront or ocean view. The ocean is two blocks away. the parking situation was very confusing and very limited which they don’t tell you. I would not recommend anyone staying at this location it is nothing like the pictures on the website! I tried to bargain with the owner for a refund, and he was absolutely not cooperative at all!

Overdue for an upgrade, due for several upgrades, paint new furniture. Convenient location to the beach, but not worth the money.

Great location. Not a fan of the check in off site location. No amenities in room—-coffee pot with no coffee, kitchenette with no dishes/cups/etc. Would stay again & better prepare—-room did job for a place to sleep. Bed/bedding comfortable.

Great place I would def recommend it

The Ocean Sound hotel is part of a group of small hotels manage by Hollywood Beach hotels. The hotels are on a great location on the Hollywood Beach area (one block, or on the beach pathway). They share a pool and the location for breakfast. They do not include parking, but for $19 a day they have a place reserved in front of your room.

Property is severly dated, and something to be desiered this Property is what you would expect in the worst side of town. Paint flaking from walls and doors, bugs and bug poop in window seals, also on towls. Beds are old and should have been thrown away durning Regans presidency. Traffic all night up and sown the street. Just overall and very bad place to stay. Only positive is the location

Can not find Ocean’s Sound hotel. It took me 1 hour to find out the office. Finally, it is belong to Hollywood beach hotel. Room is so dirty. I will not recommend this hotel

Older hotels but kept very clean and remodeled. Would definitely stay again!

The people that were staying in the property were very ghetto. Our room had roaches and the floors were dirty and full of sand. You can tell it was not cleaned or swept. I requested maid service and no one came. The people at the check in were rude and never answered the phone.

Location is great but hotel is dirty. Door was black from the dirt, floor was dirty.

Rooms aren’t the cleanest but near the beach walking distance

Do not waste your money in this place. Poor maintenance of the rooms. Everything dirty, mold in the bathroom.
