On Spring break from Seattle, we took a birding trip to S TX and couldn't have stayed in a more perfect location. We found everything we needed in Hildalgo County within a half hr of the house. Located in a pleasant, quiet neighborhood, the 5 of us enjoyed the birding and the house. Small issues, since we ate most meals in, were a few missing kitchen items and a corner end table to hold drinks while watching TV at night. Lacking the hosts e-mail/phone number, we weren't able to notify her that the fire alarm battery was beeping, so we had to remove it for our stay. But the space and location were great--and the excellent AC welcome after hot days at Saanta Anna, Estero Llano, etc.

We arrived to it being a duplex (pictures of outside did not show this or accurately depict structure or location). We had trouble getting in due incomplete access instructions (we had to call host and then access was given), we killed a few roaches on our short stay, host controlled the a/c temp/it kept reversing to 77 degrees (note this is south Texas - hot and humid), dealt with a water leak in the kitchen - came back to kitchen flooded (cleaned it up, put out water collectors and called host). Housekeeper was sent to check on water leak, fortunately we were leaving the next morning. Sent host a message when we left, giving her an update and got safe travels.

This duplex was indeed a wonderful find for our week long stay. Centrally located in McAllen within just a few miles of local restaurants and attractions. Once inside, the chatter from the rest of the planet disappeared and the quiet was exactly what we were looking for. Our first few nights we were awakened by barking dogs next door. But, after contacting Kristell, that noise problem was immediately resolved. Some appliances and furnishings are old and outdated but everything worked. It was nice having 2 bathrooms. Outside there was a patio with furniture. There was a fair amount of noise from a trucking company behind the privacy fence. But, it still was relaxing and allowed for a lot of bird chatter and respite sitting in the private shaded outdoors. Overall a very positive 5/5 star experience and whenever we're back in this area, we'll plan to book here again.

We were visiting our mother in the area and needed a location close to the hospital. It was a great stay. Everything was nice and comfortable. Will stay again.

We traveled in for a softball tournament. The house was perfect for our family and in a great location. We would definitely stay here again if we needed to travel to McAllen.

As soon as we arrived, the yard was beautiful, nice shaded parking. Neighbors were friendly, peaceful and quiet. Inside the home, it was well kept, very clean and smelled fresh. Comfy and spacious. Sofas were comfortable, large TV in the living room. Great stove, oven and fridge, very nice kitchen. Large restrooms with huge showers, well-lighted. All three large bedrooms, had more than sufficient space, nice tv's, closets and the beds/pillows were amazingly comfortable. I will definitely stay again. Thank you!

We reached out to Kristel, the host, before our trip to see if it would be all right for us to install some hooks on the trees so that we could hang our hammock out on the lovely patio. When we arrived we found that she'd had her guy install them for us already. We really liked being able to come and go to the patio from our master bedroom. One of the other bedrooms also has doors onto the patio. We were fortunate enough to see her flowers begin to bloom (Spring in Texas) even greet the arrival of a hummingbird or two after we hung a bird feeder above the hammock. The only negative I can mention is a very slow faucet in the hall bathroom.

We were a group of friends, 3 couples and two singles, just enjoying the area. The private baths for each bedroom are a HUGE plus. Overall, the property worked for what we needed. It would have been nice to have a bigger common area especially since the weather prevented us from enjoying the rooftop. The biggest issues we had were a) a lack of cleaning supplies (dust pan, no broom and no spray cleaner to wipe things down) and the very very poor water pressure. Other than that, it was great!

Very clean and accurate description of the property. Very convenient to food and shopping. Easy interstate access. Will come back and stay someday.

There is simply not enough I can say about this incredible place! It was absolutely beautiful! The house itself is decorated so tastefully. Modern and updated. Seriously the most thoughtfully decorated place we've ever stayed at! Everything was color coordinated and perfect. The property itself is centrally located to everything MacAllen has to offer. The host was extremely helpful and communicative. They answered all my questions. It was a huge relief to get quick answers since we'd been on the road for almost 24 hours. The host was amazing and was the entire experience. I will be recommending this place to my friends/family and this is for sure the only spot for us when we visit MacAllen. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you so much for a fantastic stay and experience!

The house was very cozy and close to everything. It had everything we needed, full kitchen, washer, dryer. The patio could benefit from an update in order to be more inviting, but overall, we enjoyed our time there very much.

Love the location, close to everything we needed. Great beds, linen, pillows, and towels. Bathrooms are roomy, showers have shampoo, conditioner, and soap dispensers. Kitchen set up nicely for having meals there. Well stocked with usual needs. Large wall TV’s in each bedroom with good internet capabilities. Host answered all questions quickly. Nice neighborhood to walk or run. Absolutely loved our stay in McAllen.

Great modern property. Very spacious. I woild just like to add this is not a home by itself. It is a duplex so you do have neighbors attached. I usually prefer whole homes, but this is a very big property and at a very good price! Would definitely recommend!

We came into town to build a pier over water at the Hildago Pump House Museum. Nice drive after a long days work to McAllen to find a nice 3 bedroom home to come to. Fully furnished with everything you need through. Looking forward to another day in future!!

We completely enjoyed our stay at Kristell's property. She was communicative and made the check in process a breeze even with us driving in from San Antonio at nearly 3am. The house was immaculate and clean. The beds were comfy. And, the location is great. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and there is a bike path not too far away, and it's close to everything including HEB, Costco, and Walmart. We got a lot of use out of the kitchen. We enjoyed having a tv in each room and being able to just sign into our own favorite streaming services. The boardgames were also a thoughtful touch. Our daughter had fun playing with them.
