This was a beautifully-appointed, brand new and very modern apartment barely 100 meters from Ladies Beach, Kusadasi. So the apartment, facilities, location and convenience are superb. The on-site concierge provided our key. In the apartment, all the sliding doors had blackout curtains and were double-glazed for quiet. The air-conditioning was quiet and and efficient. It was only a short stroll to the sea-front esplanade for a huge choice of dining and entertainment options, even in the shoulder season when we were there. We had beautiful weather, and enjoyed a sunset dinner followed by a nice stroll home.

Only two unfortunate issues: First, while advertised as wheelchair accessible, there were no ramps or paths to the building entrance door, only cobbled paths and stairs. Luckily, we were able to negotiate these, and once in the building, no further problems at all. But limited disabled building access is an oversight. Second, the bed mattress (and couch!) were extraordinarily firm and uncomfortable, making for poor sleep.

Everything was perfect

After we drove to Kusadasi from a small hotel in Izmir city and entered the Lotus Apartment, we immediately felt very comfortable. In the apartment you have enough freedom of movement. The first thing that caught our eye was the cleanliness and the brightness. Lots of light comes in through the large windows. The apartment is modernly furnished and has everything you need, even a washing machine with a little detergent. The detergent was really a nice touch. The air conditioning worked very well, the bed was comfortable and the location was absolutely great. There is a supermarket across the street and the so-called dolmus stops in front of the door. With the dolmus number 5 you can get to the center in a few minutes for 11 lira per person. The beach is only a few minutes walk away. We felt very safe. You enter the building with a door code and the l door to the apartments is also secure. A big bonus is the lift for the heavy suitcases. Attention in Google Maps the Lotus Apart is shown in the wrong street. Our taxi driver couldn't find it. You have to go to Hamit Kaplan Sokagi.

There really isn't much to criticize about this apartment. Suffice it to say that the choice of windows was not particularly good as you can hear everything from the outside. At night you could hear the street dogs barking and often woke up. Unfortunately, this is the case in most apartments and hotels in Turkey. Due to the modern security system of the electricity consumption, as known from the big hotels, there was no electricity in the apartment when you were outside. So you could only wash clothes when you were in the apartment, which was mostly only in the evening or at night for us. There were 3 of us and one of us stayed in the living room. Because there was only one remote control for the 2 air conditioners, one had to go empty-handed. You couldn't leave them on all the time so as not to get sick.

Cera Lotus Apart is a three-story business that only serves as a rental apartment building. It is 100 meters from the Ladies Beach. The number five minibus (dolmuş) passes in front of it to the center of Kusadasi. It is possible to reach the city center in 10 minutes. The apartment is quite new and modern and has a small kitchen. Ms. Dilek, the host of the house, and Ms. Serap, who is responsible for the floors, are very friendly and helpful. They made us feel at home. Lotus apartment is one of the places we will stay again when we come to Kusadasi again. There is a small market opposite the apartment, and there are many restaurants, cafes, bars, and markets on the Ladies Beach. It is a few minutes' walk to reach them.

Unfortunately, there was a heavy sewage smell coming from the toilet and under the kitchen sink in apartment number six, where we stayed. Ms. Serap made an effort to solve the problem. But the odor did not completely disappear. I think a more effective method should be used to solve the problem. Unfortunately, the internet connection is very weak and insufficient. If we did not have our own mobile internet, it would not be possible to use the internet. Also, the Teflon pans in the kitchen need to be replaced urgently. Because they are very old, using them can cause health problems.
