The hotel was chic looking and the room was very clean. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Ms Chloe who had provided me with a lot of useful information on the place around the Old Quarters. Kudos to her for her attentiveness and professionalism!

The hotel location is good. You can go all the sightseeing spots in the old quarter on foot. There are a convenience store and a supermarket near the hotel. What I liked most about the hotel was the quiet atmosphere of the room and great service. As I mentioned above, the hotel is in a busy area but the room is quiet enough to sleep comfortably. All the staff kindly help me to walk around the old quarter. Especially I cannot thank you enough for that they let me take a shower before I left for the airport even though after I checked out the hotel.

From the moment we arrived the hotel, we were greeted with warm welcome, drinks refreshment and smooth check-in process. Room is spotlessly clean and spacious. As any boutique hotel in Hanoi old quarter, the hotel is small size but they decorate all interior surrounding neatly and artistic. Breakfast is semi buffet and a la carte style. Again their service is quick and attentive. Some with limited english but you can definitely tell they’re trying their best. Location is right next to hoan kiem lake. Its undoubtedly most strategic place to live in hanoi old quarter area.

Mr. Erik, the restaurant manager, made every meal special with his attention to detail and exceptional service. The cuisine was decent with a range of western dishes as well as classic Vietnamese dishes, more selection of fruit would be favourable! The housekeeping team also deserves a special mention. They kept my room immaculate throughout my stay, adding thoughtful touches that made me feel truly at home. Overall, L’hôtel du Lac exceeded my expectations in every way. The combination of outstanding service, a welcoming atmosphere, and the dedication of staff like Jolie, Emma, Mr. Erik, and the housekeeping team made my stay unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place close to everything and with such lovely people!

First time living in this hotel. Great location if you'd prefer a more domestic Vietnamese lifestyle; this hotel is at the heart of the Old Quarter, just a couple minutes' walk to Hoàn Kiếm Lake and St. Joseph Cathedral church. All the staff are well-trained, friendly and easy to communicate if you need anything. Overall a perfect first-time staying experience.

After a very disappointing rental with Air B&B, we left after one night and booked the remainder of our stay with LHotel du Lac, Hanoi. 5 Stars does not express how pleased we were with our stay. ALL the staff is OUTSTANDING - accommodating, generous, friendly, kind, helpful. They treated us as royalty from the time we entered their lobby through the moment we entered our cab to leave for the airport. While our room was a little snug, it was spotlessly clean, well equipped for our comfort, and in excellent repair. The included breakfasts were outstanding offering a variety of Vietnamese and International options all excellently prepared and beautifully presented. After a long day of touring the city we enjoyed a special evening at their Sky Bar offering delicious drinks and a great view of Hanoi. If you are going to Hanoi, STAY AT THE LHOTEL DU LAC!!! You will love this hotel. We did.

Richly decorated, beautiful, and clean. The restaurant is excellent. The staff and management are absolutely on-point at every moment. Staying a L’HÔTEL du LAC Hanoi was truly a 5-star experience from top to bottom. I can't recommend it strongly enough for anyone that is looking for luxury in the heart of The Old Quarter. Close to everything but still quiet and relaxing once you step inside and are greeted by smiling, well-trained staff that rival the best I've seen anywhere in the world.

Convenient location in the Old Quarter area

We had a wonderful stay at L’hotel Du LAC. The staff are friendly and helpful and they really care about our experience at the hotel. The room and the hotel were well designed with Vietnamese traditional pantings which made it so special and full of cultural info for guests. If we travel to Hanoi again, L’hotel Du LAC Hanoi will be definitely our first choice.

Great hotel in a prime location in the Old Quarter. Staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and proactive, helping us with our return flight and transfers. The room was a bit small but otherwise clean, nice, and functional for a short stay. The hotel staff were a bit confusing about the complimentary water and beverages in the room, telling us different things. And the airport pick up was a bit expensive but otherwise good.

We stayed here for one night and could not speak enough to the friendliness of the staff and the amazing buffet breakfast. We could not be happier with the buffet and the staff!

Every detail of the hotel, from the door attendant welcoming you and wishing you well every time you enter and exit, to the beverage and light snacks they serve you while doing your check in makes the check in process relaxing. Lukas did our check in and is by far the best hotel staff member I’ve met in the 33 countries I’ve traveled to. He was polite, friendly, and helpful in ensuring our check in was easy. He offered us some great options for local tours. I usually don’t do tours but decided to give the motorbike food tour he recommended a try and I’m so glad I did. This was the best tour I’ve ever taken. Our hotel room was very spacious, clean, had plenty of amenities and was very well designed for function. The beds were comfortable, no bright sunlight waking us up in the morning. No external noises through the walls. The restrooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast that was included was amazing as well. The staff was all (and yes I mean every single staff member we interacted with every single day) was exceptional. Chloe helped us with our departure as well as extending the city tour my sister took (extended from a half day tour. As I would enter a staff member would walk over to the elevator and press the button so it would be ready by the time I arrived at the elevator. This was some serious attention to detail and world class service. Everything about the hotel, the staff, the service, the price, and the location is world class and second to none.

So so loved this hotel. It’s an oasis of calm and tranquility in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. The staff were fabulous and couldn’t do enough to make sure we were happy and well looked after. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of Western and Asian options. This was the beginning of our Vietnam adventure and we couldn’t have had a better start to the holiday. A very special thank you to Mary who was wonderful. She worked tirelessly in accommodating our requests in advance of the holiday and was super efficient in helping us book some local experiences. To the entire hotel. L Hotel du Lac is an excellent hotel so close to everything. The lake is a two minute walk, shopping and dining are right outside the front door as it is located right in the heart of old town. The staff were outstanding, willing to accommodate our every request and very kind.

Information through messenger before visiting was a service I had never received before. When I came across the manager who visited the hotel and talked to me through messenger, I even felt familiarity. The facilities, meals, location, and everything were satisfactory. This is a hotel I want to visit again.

You cant beat the location of this hotel. At the heart of the old quarters, you are within access of most of the tourist spots and restaurants.
