This home was very charming! High ceilings, hard wood floors, great kitchen, good shower, two good size bedrooms for four adults. Great location in a quiet neighborhood. Felt very safe. Loved the private parking spot onsite since parking is at a premium in Boston!! Only a couple blocks from Sam Adams Brewery which was great and only a couple blocks from the orange line T. Metro was easy to navigate. Perry and his family live upstairs but we never heard them and he was very responsive whenever we had any questions. Would definitely stay here again.

We liked our 3 days in Boston very much: comfortable, quiet, well equipped. Easy to commute to town with orange line, Perry very helpful with advice. Big plus: Safe car parking on premises behind gate and Adams brewery around corner!

Clean, spacious, and a great location for a long weekend in Boston.

We enjoyed our stay while we were moving our daughter to Boston. The location was good (quiet but not too far out), really appreciated the off street parking, the house was well stocked with anything you can think of (including band aids which I needed!), and we enjoyed being able to walk to Sam Adams and the Haven.

We needed a place close to the Boston hospitals as my wife needed surgery. This location was perfect. Perry went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and then some. Thank you for your genuine concern for us. Would return to this property if we need to come back.

We were in Boston so my son could compete in the New England track meet and to look at some colleges. We didn’t spend much time in the apartment but it provided everything we needed for our weekend visit. Perry was very responsive and checked in during our visit.

We had a great girls weekend - flying into Boston to see a friend. The place had everything we needed and nice homey touches like house plants. The big kitchen table which was a bonus. The off street parking was convenient and appreciated. There was a spacious living room for movies, snacks, and morning yoga. Ula cafe was in walking distance and a lovely spot for a morning coffee and pastry. Would stay again.

Had a very nice stay and visit to Boston. Property is well kept, very convenient to to orange line subway. On site parking was also a huge plus.

We appreciated the convenience of staying here which was in close proximity to a resident family member. Perry was extremely helpful in addressing questions prior to our arrival and helped us retrieve some items we left by mailing them to us. The off street parking was very convenient and a definite perk! Areas for improvement just based on our own personal needs would include newer mattresses and bedding. My husband has mobility issues and he can move much better on a firm bed. These beds were fairly soft. Kitchen had lots of items but drawers felt a bit cluttered with what seemed like a lot of random, leftover items. Just our opinion so not trying to be overly critical. Thank you for welcoming us to Boston!

My husband and I, along with our daughter, were visiting our other daughter, who lives in Jamaica Plain over Thanksgiving weekend. Our younger ( adult) daughter stayed with her sister three of the four nights we were there. The apartment is comfortable, and had everything we needed, including an abundant supply of hangers in the closet. The unit has nice, very clean wooden floors. We were a little surprised that there was not a single area rug, but perhaps that makes cleaning easier. We were amazed at how quiet the unit was. As it turned out, the hosts, who live upstairs, were also gone, and the noise level did pick. up when they returned Sunday afternoon, but not to the point of being a problem . There is a shared foyer with the host, and upon their return, that space sprouted shoes and jackets, but these appeared to belong to their children, and were not in the way, just a trifle messy. These are more observations than complaints, our unit was comfortable and well supplied, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the light switches being labeled, instructions for the thermostat, and even a little note saying how long it would take the water to get hot! We had a pleasant stay.

We were a group of three college friends in town to race in the Head of the Charles. The apartment was perfect for us in every way. Very comfortable, everything we needed. And Perry was super responsive when we had a few questions at check in. We hope to stay there again next year for the race.

We found this location to be wonderful. We were within a short commute to just about everything we wanted to do. The one thing we loved the most was private parking at this place. It was nice to come home and know exactly where we would be parking without having to locate something on the street. Perry communicated very well with us to make sure our time spent in Boston was an enjoyable one!

Two parents, two sons and one Fiancé met in Boston to attend the US Open, see Wicked, attend a Sox Game and take in the sights, sounds and tastes of the area. Jamaica Plain was the perfect home-base for our time in Boston with easy access to the subway and many close dining options. Perry was a great host and so very helpful. We enjoyed time in the backyard- grilling, drinking coffee, unwinding and harvesting fresh berries. Would HIGHLY recommend this delightful home!

We came into town for a summer course at the public health Harvard campus and it was so easy to get there and then to the city. If transit wasn't available an Uber was a short ride away. The location was great and the house was perfect. They had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.

We loved our stay at this property in Jamaican Plains, access to great restaurants, Franklin Park near by. Perry the Property Manager was easy to get a hold of and very helpful. Convenient for a family that wants to have access to a kitchen and living space.

Communication prior to arrival was great. Then we arrived and found the front door lock damaged (I have photos) and not fully functional. The entry code we were given was unable to be entered so we couldn’t get inside. The rear door had a similar door lock which was good but the deadbolt prevented entry here. So we called the property manager at their out of state number-their term for themselves-thinking this would be an easy fix. No answer at the main and emergency number so we left a message on both. We had children coming in so we went to pick them up. Still no callback and we felt completely stuck in a city we don’t live in. About 2hrs later around 6pm our kids had arrived and still no word, so we had to book a non-refundable hotel stay to cover our trip as it was very last minute in the height of summer. We booked right after their arrival. Immediately after we booked a hotel the property manager finally called back and said they could give us a new code to enter, but at that point it was too late. I explained to him then that it was too late and because of his delayed response we had to book a hotel because at that point we had no idea where we would be staying. Keep in mind that the property was supposed to be ready at 3, but it was now around 6. Apparently the listening part of communication didn’t happen because he proceeded to text us every day following asking us to return when I had clearly told him in our phone call I had a non-refundable booking. At that point it was very annoying to receive daily contact from the property manager which basically served as a reminder of having paid for something twice (a stay in the Boston area). I never did respond to his follow ups as each time it became more annoying and at one point he even acknowledged having seen video of us on the porch trying to enter and suggested we booked the hotel quickly upon not being able to enter-which wasn’t true we actually waited until the kids had physically arrived which was 2 hours-well after we left the property-before booking another place out of necessity. I’ve stayed at other VRBOs with no problems and great experiences to date. All I can say to others is don’t stay here. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Trust me when I say the damage to the lock was noticeable and couldn’t/shouldn’t have been missed. Even given that an “emergency” number shouldn’t have taken hours to receive a response from.

The host is super communicative. Parking is a real plus. 20 min from airport and downtown Boston. The only downside is 5 min closer in to Boston the neighborhoods are a bit more gentrified.

House was cute and clean! We were close enough to the city to enjoy all the great food options! Great space for the kids and bringing our furry child. Perry kept in close contact the whole time

We loved the house and enjoyed our stay very much. My only suggestion would be to add more powerful light bulbs in the kitchen, because it was hard to see at night in that room, when cooking. Thank you for everything.

This apartment is the bottom half of a duplex. It is in excellent condition and the manager (Perry) lives above. Perry could not have been more attentive and bent over backwards to respond to our every need. The apartment is quite spacious- two bedrooms, a good sized eat-in kitchen and a large living room. It was extremely comfortable and made our 2 month stay in Boston quite enjoyable.

This is a nice, clean 2 bedroom with lots of space. Location is excellent with the train station only a short walk away. Perry is easy to get in touch with, responsive and accommodating. We would stay here again.
