The air conditioning in the room was excellent. The staff at breakfast were exemplary, couldn’t fault anything. They greeted us as we entered the room, explained the process for ordering and nothing was too much trouble. We had a few different choices of breakfast & all were well presented and delicious so well done also to the kitchen staff. The room was spotlessly clean. There was ample car parking.

The reception staff could have been more welcoming. The view from the room wasn’t good - an internal courtyard containing what looked the a boiler room. The second room had no view as there was film over the window. The lack of an occasional chair in the room..

Great breakfast , great staff. Secure parking in in a city centre is always welcome. Found the free bar in the room a bonus, ideal when you just wanted a quick drink.

The hotel was easy to find and the staff were all helpful. The breakfast was delicious with a wide selection available. Great location for visiting the castle.

The room was very small. The room (10), was also noisy, we heard a door opening and closing frequently. We also had noise from guests outside.

we have stayed here a few times before cause location of the property is amazing the cleanliness and the staff are all amazing very friendly place and they always happy to help

as I said we have stayed here three time but this time I would definitely say it was out worse yes the place is lovely and clean and the staff are amazing but the room we stayed it the carpet was all thread and sticking up their was thins missing that we emailed about before and the shower had two setting and one didn’t work

Location is perfect, staff excellent. Food was good and the building is lovely.

The room was slightly smaller than I had hoped and I would have loved a bath.

All of the food was wonderful at the hotel, the reception staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.

The heating/air conditioning system was very slow to kick in so our room got very hot which made it impossible to get a restful sleep. The bed was a little firm.

Wonderful stay! Room 17 - Vinoly Suite. Bathroom is exceptional. Service was first class. Communication with the hotel prior to our arrival was excellent. Beautiful hotel. Highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful hotel from the minute you drove into the car park! Very kind host behind reception guest, asking us about today and in general very helpful and kind. Room was absolutely spotless! Lots of free goodies in the room. Tea and coffee facilities, fresh milk in the fridge to! Soft drinks, bottled water and beer (alcoholic and non alcoholic) in the fridge at no extra cost. Option to have room service for breakfast which we chose as was only an extra £5. Breakfast was lush! We had the pancakes which were the best I’ve had and the full English which to my partners delight came with bubble and squeak! Location was ideal for Colchester town! Short walk to the town centre and the castle also! Though the town is quite busy and lively you can’t hear this from the hotel! Check out was straight forward and easy. Can’t wait to stay back already
