Location is great but lots of small failures lead to bad reviews. Early check in was requested but not honored. Inadequate aircon and hot water, poorly flushing toilet. Bed with sprung springs. No towels in pool area. Doors that won’t stay closed . Pros include free parking, great front porch, nice pool and scooter rental across the street. Could be really nice but needs some maintenance.

Beautiful mansion but no one to welcome and explain the property. The balcony of the suite was not usable. Outdoor appliance were broken & dirty. Very expensive, tooo expensive for no service, no included breakfeast.

Great location. Was only for the night but enjoyed the room and hotel.

The only thing I liked was the location of the place. Stayed one night with my family, wife, 12yr old and a 1yr old baby. The room wasn’t as expected, around 1am the fire alarm starting going off when we were sleeping, loud sound that woke my baby and family up, until the fire department came to shut it off, one of the staff from the hotel came and was very rude when I asked him what was happening. Extremely disappointed with this place. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

As former Key West residents, I've always wanted to stay at the Curry Mansion. I've walked past it so many times and was excited to find it available for us to visit last weekend. It is really beautiful and so majestic but just like you'd expect from an older home, it has issues. There was really low water pressure in the shower. The carpet in our room (106) was old and kinda sticky. The little refrigerator in the room wasn't very cold. The little pool in front of our room had lots of leaves in it. We did not use it. Just little stuff. Nothing major. We called the number they have listed for one issue and no one bothered to return our call or address our issue. We were happy to have parking in their lot since parking in downtown is always an issue. But there aren't many spaces so I'm sure they fill up fast. Overall, it was a good stay. Location. Location. Location. Would we stay there again? No, but I'm so glad I finally got to see it up close. Beautiful house.

Convenience to Duval Street and surrounding areas Clean room

I do not recommend this place unless you like being awake all night listening to loud music all night thumping in your ear. This place does not have hot water. Could not shower because it was so cold. There is not a tv in the room. The bed had a huge dip in it causing it to be very uncomfortable. There was a dead cockroach by the bathroom door. This place was not worth $300 a night. Rip Off!

One block off Duval, very convenient.

The only thing I didnt like was that the property and room were tricky to find at night and we called the afterhours number and never got a response or phone call back. Luckily, we figured it out! The place itself was pretty great.

Everything was great except I had an issue with arriving late so things were challenging to navigate in the dark. I called the phone number for after hours and my call was never returned. So, thank goodness we were able to figure it out. But I still have not received a phone call back at noon the next day.

Air conditioner worked beautifully. Washer and dryer on site to use gratis. No daily housekeeping option but trash receptacle near by and clean and well maintained site. Luggage can be stored in dining room after check-out. Supposedly a community kitchen but I never found it. No one on-site if you needed help—period. Detailed instructions sent by email with text in one giant paragraph with words jammed together. (Very hard to read or refind information). Man nice when I called about early check-in. Site quiet at night Wednesday-Thursday. Partying and banging on walls Friday night. (No one on-site to speak with them. Was I supposed to grapple through the mishmash of email instructions in the middle the night to find a number? Was there a number? Was I to accept the sleepless night as par for the Key West course?) The front porch and lovely rockers were great. I drank wine there every night, bird watched and people watched.

For the self-sufficient traveler who appreciates privacy while being in the middle of everything. Lots of bad reviews from lots of picky people didn’t deter us, and I’m so glad that we stayed here. It’s everything we needed it to be: 3 nights in the heart of Key West. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, and local attractions. A very clean room and bathroom. Extra towels (including beach towels). Yes, the pool is small and has leaves in it, and there’s no happy hour. But honestly, who cares! Most people don’t come to Key West for luxury treatment. If so, there are several other hotels that focus on that, for a few of course. Instead, you get lots of bars with happy hours and excellent choices for food within a 5 minute walk. We had a great time on our trip despite the high heat and humidity. Best part was that we could walk back to our room and take quick showers after walking around all day. We would definitely stay here again. Hope to see you soon, Key West!

Place seem just kind of rundown. Tub was dirty had someone’s hairs. Floor was rotting by the back door under the ac. Room wasn’t at actual curry mansion it was a bit of confusion. TVs were tiny.

You know how when you arrive an hour or two early most places will let you in, well, we called and tried to get in 45 minutes early and they said they would call us back because the room was not ready. That never happened. We watched the room for 45 minutes sitting in the building, no phone call nothing. The cleaning staff did tell us they are strict about their arrivals and departures two hours earlier so we went to lunch hoping we could get in early when we came back from lunch. The pool was covered in leaves and little flowers with no screen to clean the pool. So your hair would get full of flowers and crap. Went down to have coffee and hopefully a Continental breakfast. Nope. Coffee is five dollars and I believe that was the cheapest thing on the menu. Parking wasn’t great For a big truck, but we managed. Room was nice and clean. We paid more money to stay here than most any other option in Key West for a Great Experience, it was anything but that. Too cheap to give us a free cup of coffee. We will never go back.

This place was not for me. It may be for someone, but definitely not for me. Let’s get the things I knew about going into this hotel stay. This place is about a block off a Duval St. I knew the place was a historic house and/or building. I knew property mgmt team ran the place. There was no key, but a code for the door or doors. The property mgmt team told me there was no electric car plugin on the property. What I didn’t know about until I got the email with the code. The property mgmt team is not on the grounds, but you need to call and/email them. Although parking is available and free, it is not guaranteed. Which means if you show up and all the spots are gone, you need to find a spot or lot or garage to park. If your garbage can is full, you need to take it out and empty it. The good: bed was comfortable, room was pretty large, large shower, clean sheets, clean towels, 4 sets of towels. The questionable: electrical outlets don’t all have cover plates, not all electrical outlets work, air conditions is loud even at its lowest setting. Not good: two small bugs found in the bathroom, stain the floor when we arrives but was easily removed with water (questions if the room was cleaned), black ink or dried blood on the wall next to one of the beds, internet password never worked (ok, because Verizon 5G UW was excellent), had to wait 30 plus minutes for someone to leave to get a parking spot.

No parking, out dated bathroom, nobody at the property to talk to. The place needs updating. Only good thing is the location.

Check in is done remote and was easy. Our room door code wasn’t updated from the previous guest though so it took a bit to get in. I just called the # in the lobby and they took care of it quickly. Because we got in a little later parking wasn’t available on property but we found a lot a block over that allowed us to park overnight so it wasn’t a big deal. I’d stay here again. Great location!

Couple nights to see a concert. Curry is always a go to favorite for location and low key vibe. This is not an active place with a huge pool or anything but the rooms are classic and well kept.

The stay was good. The carpet in our room was not good. Our friends stayed also and their room was great compared to ours and we paid the same. Bed was comfy and the location was perfect.

Great history of the property and beautiful architecture but many repairs are needed. Carpets were very dirty.

There was a mistake with my reservation. The owners made it right and were quick to respond with any question or concern.

It is a Airbnb location, no staff onsite, little things like the porch lights not working, shades in the bathroom are broke, recommend bring your own soap, the little bottles they give are a pain. If you rent, come prepared to do it on your own

It is actually a bed & breakfest and very noisy, close to duval street; for the money far to much

Traveled with our two barely adult grandkids to see Key West. The hotel was convenient to Duval Strip and very quiet and comfortable.
