Amazing pub/restaurant downstairs for dinner. The breakfast was not so great.

My room was clean and the cleaning crew was great. I was here for over two weeks so I would leave them a note of different items I needed but I didn't need regular cleans, but they often did it anyway. Super nice. The only issue on cleanliness was that there was a sucker on the floor at the rear hotel entrance for over a week. Finally someone picked it up and put it on the wall heater, where it is likely to stay for months as it blends into the wall. I have stayed here before and it was great but this time not so much. I booked a courtyard room and did not get that. My coffee pot wouldn't work and neither did the new one. Maintenance came got it to work but the pod blew up in it and they left it for me to clean, (in maintenance defense, I don't think he realized it blew up in the coffee pot) when I did clean the coffee pot, it still didn't work. Finally the second new one did work. Last time I stayed they had smart TV's so I could sign into my netflix, but this room did not so bring a computer and a HDMI cord if you want access to movies. When I first arrived all my channels worked but on election night CNN stopped working and it was never fixed and 10 days later it was still not working. Breakfast at this hotel is the best in town for a continental but they changed some things and they no longer offer shredded cheese and peppers to add to the eggs, which actually made a big difference. The staff in the restaurant and the hotel cleaning staff are really great.

Everything was good, we enjoyed the hot tub.

Extremely rude front staff

Well the huge black hairs in the shower and bed were a turn off from the get go. Didn’t notice until morning of check out. Wanted to complain but was in a huge rush for work. Restaurant service was below average. Took order, dropped drinks. Dropped off food then collected money. We were out on the patio and it seems we were just forgotten. Food was good though. Dream nod stayed empty for some time. Never came to check if food was ok. As I previously worked under the best western banner, I always relied on super clean and awesome service. Disappointed.

Overall the place was okay, you pretty much get what you pay for. The breakfast was decent, definitely nothing to rave about. All the staff were friendly and we were even able to check in two hours early. The grounds and facilities were clean, and you could see workers nonstop pretty much either maintaining the pool/hot tub, the grounds etc. The only downside was there seemed to be a lack of front desk staff. I tried to go ask them something and there was 4-5 groups of people trying to check in/out or get assistance from the staff yet only one person working. I returned to my room and decided to call down instead and collectively (tried calling 3x) was on hold for 40 minutes with no one ever answering. Additionally, I had pre paid fully for our 3 night stay, yet they were pre-authorizing my credit card each night. I had to go talk to the front desk and ask what these charges were and they said the person who checked me in must’ve mistakenly charged my card. I understand mistakes happen but when I checked in they confirmed with me that I had paid in full so it’s confusing why someone would acknowledge that and then still proceed to charge the card.
