Stopped for one night only. Great value for money and only a short walk to the pubs ans restaurants. Would stay again. The free parking is a huge bonus too

The Belmont is a very nice stay and very central in Leicester. Convenient from the train station and also with its own (free!) parking. The parking was very busy on the evening I arrived and yet there was still enough space.
I stayed for one night after my office Christmas party. Access to the hotel is simple during the night (I re-entered around 1am).
Staff were very courteous. The room was comfortable and spacious.
I had breakfast included and it was quite tasty the next day, and didn't close too early (open until 10:45).
Furthermore, the staff went above and beyond when I forgot a book in my room after I had checked out. They kept it safe and made sure I was able to get it back when I dropped by the next day!

We have stayed at The Belmont many times in the past and always have a wonderful stay from the greet on arrival at check in right to check out - however on this occasion I was disappointed upon my arrival at approx 1:50pm.
I asked the man on Reception if our room was possibly ready ( I am aware check in is 3pm) - on all of our previous stays we have always been lucky enough to be allowed in our room 2ish when we arrive in Leicester. The tone of the comment I received about 3pm check in made me feel uncomfortable.
We did get into the room early but felt his approach could have been better.
Our room 222 did have an odd smell (never experienced a smell in room before).
I am usually full of praise for The Belmont- we love our stays here but on this occasion did feel a little disappointed.

The Belmont hotel offers a quintessential British hotel experience. The warm welcome upon check-in sets a pleasant tone for your stay. The hotel's free parking is a definite plus, especially for those traveling by car.
The rooms, while clean and spacious, show their age through slightly outdated furniture. A small heater was necessary to keep the room comfortably warm. The bathroom, though clean, also exhibited some signs of time.
Overall, the Belmont hotel is a solid choice for those seeking a traditional British hotel experience. While the facilities could benefit from a modern update, the friendly service and convenient amenities make it a decent option.

Lovely beautique hotel with lovely spacious rooms. The food is reasonable and fairly priced. Staff are friendly and accommodating. For an overnight stay with was very good value. Also very quiet and peaceful in the room overlooking the park. I would stay again.

The room was lovely, don’t like the reuse your towel policy. Was inform when asked that breakfast would be until 10.30am so arranged to meet at 9.30 colleague had to take a call before he sat down. I was then told I would need to finish up as breakfast finishes at 10am as there was a function straight after. I explained what we had been told to no real response or apology.
On checkout I witnessed the staff sitting enjoying breakfast no function. I complained at reception but no real apology or offer to refund the missed breakfast just “you shouldn’t have been told that”

The Belmont was comfortable and we had one overnight stay. Unfortunately the bathroom sink was blocked and when using it the water didn't run away quickly enough and left a dirty surface to the sink. We did report it when we left.

Lovely hotel, lovely helpful staff. Unfortunately the bed was uncomfortable and caused you to roll to the edge.

Spacious room in a period building and a comfortable stay. Nice breakfast. Would have been great but work on flushing pipes through the previous day resulted in my shower stopping just after I had stepped into it and shampooed my hair. Staff did come pretty quickly to see if they could fix it but I had to run down the corridor in a towel to finish my shower. No offer of anything for the inconvenience, not even a free breakfast. I probably won’t risk staying again.

We really liked the hotel which ideally situated next to New Walk which gave a pleasant walk into the town centre in 10 minutes. We had a nice large well equipped room and an en-suite which had a very good shower ( which isn’t always the case). The breakfast was really good with a large choice of buffet or ‘to order’ items. If in Leicester again, I would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Only a short stroll from the train station. Close to local amenities and shops. Professional, welcoming and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Would definitely stay again if visiting the area

We loved the unique layout of the property, some of the areas were a little jaded.
This hotels saving grace was the staff. They were all so helpful and friendly. A very special thank you to Betty who took care of our breakfast and made sure that my daughter in law and my own food was gluten free.
Also David and Luke went over and above to take care of us.

Nice hotel breakfast had plenty of options and was good room was plenty big enough only real downside was our room must have been to far away from the WiFi point because it wouldn’t connect but that was the only downside. We would definitely stay there again

Car park and reception clearly signposted, check-in pleasant and efficient, as was check out the next day. Impressed with the size, comfort and cleanliness of the room. (Why put all those cushions on the bed though?) For the evening meal I chose the “casual” seating near the bar, which was adequate though perhaps a little soul-less. The vegetarian option I chose from the menu was tasty and filling, though gave me significant indigestion during the night so I wouldn’t have it again! I had thankfully recovered in time to enjoy a first-rate breakfast in pleasant surroundings.

Quality hotel at reasonable price. Quiet area. Spotlessly clean. Hairdryer kept cutting out due to overheating but the problem was promptly resolved by replacement. Pillows quite compressed and hard (?old) so affected sleep. Overall though, I was happy with my overnight stay and would go again.

Lisa, in Reception, was really welcoming, helpful, respectful and kind. My room was spacious, warm, and had every comfort I could wish for. I was a bit disappointed with the evening restaurant and staff: the menu displayed in the bar was not the same menu that was available. The staff who showed me to my table was nice, but the staff who delivered the meal and then took my payment were a little cold and brusque and it spoiled my overall impression. (I dropped one star rating due to this.) However, the staff in the breakfast restaurant were very helpful and respectful. Both dinner and breakfast meals were good and well presented. The check-out time of 11.00am was very helpful. Checking out of the hotel was easy and I thank Lisa again for her help and kindness regarding my onward journey.

Great location within easy walking distance of the city centre & parking included in the room rate, room was large, bed was comfortable & the breakfast was amazing. One thing that did spoil our stay was the noisy extractor unit outside our room which meant sleeping with the windows shut

Overall a lovely stay .. but we had an early morning start and were assured a Breakfast to Go would be arranged as we had paid to include Breakfast. But when we called at reception in the morning to collect , it had not been done and the person was unaware of the request.. we did say if this was not a usual service it would have been ok.. and we have made other arrangements. He did put a yogurt and some bits of fruit in a bag.

We had a wedding at 15:00 managed to check in early which allowed us to change ready for the wedding which was a bonus for us. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Had a good sleep very quiet. Also ordered room service just some sides, food was amazing. Would recommend.
