Superior room was excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Underground parking was great due to the immense rain and we were on a motorbike. Breakfast had plentiful choices and good quality food. We were very disappointed that the advertised restaurant is not working, which meant walking in the rain to local eateries. This is why we usually book places with restaurants, so they need to change this on their post to be more truthful.

Super nice hotel. Quiet a ways from old town. Adequate bus service. Decent grocery store across the street. Great value just be away it’s a ways from all the main attractions and restaurants.

Very clean and spacious

The Dorint was an excellent stay. We arrived very late after a long day of travel. The computer system at the hotel was crashed and our reservation was not in the computer and no room was available. The night clerk, named Morez, was tireless and utterly dedicated in making certain we had a place to stay. After much effort, he secured our room. He seemed as happy and relieved as we were with the outcome. We can’t say enough good about how he handled a really difficult evening for him and us. The rest of the stay was simply flawless and I would not hesitate to stay there again just based upon the unfailingly pleasant staff and the clean and comfortable accommodations.

booked a room with a separate sleeping room, turned out that there was no door we can close, and that was uncomfortable with our daughter. Staff was not especially helpful about that. Also in general the price was too high for what we got.

Very smart and tidy hotel, would recommend without doubt. only down side no evening meal options but it’s close to town so easy to grab something to eat. very nice hotel.

Good 4 star hotel

Friendly staff, clean room and bedding stuff, convenient location, good breakfast.

The hotel was good, would've been great if not for a couple of hiccups. We had 2 rooms, and in one of them AC was virtually non-existent, and in the other the shower drain wasnt really draining and water ended up all over the bathroom floor. We brought it up to the front desk's attention, but it never got resolved in the 3 days we stayed. Otherwise, great location, clean, comfortable, spacious.

Great hotel with a clean and sizeable space. It was well air conditioned and felt comfortable inside. I think it can be a little big far from the main square for some to walk however we were okay unless having to go all the way across to the fortress. I would still recommend this place and there is a fantastic beerhall restaurant nearby as well as a small convenience store next door which provides snacks and drinks.

We had a very spacious room and it is very well connected to public transport that takes you to various tourist locations. It is quiet and there are even a few eating places within walking distance in case you want to get a lazy meal. With a Spar and Billa close by, even groceries/snacks etc are at hand. The breakfast spread however is pretty limited even for omnivores, but for vegetarians, it is quite limiting. If you are staying 2-3 days, be prepared to repeat your breakfast every day.

I like the arquitecture, the cleaning and the food was excellent

Staff were very unfriendly. No one even asked if I had a good stay. They treated other guests differently. It’s clear you have to be Austrian to get good service.

Our room was clean and nice. Bathroom nicely renovated. The Door is crap, lights shining through gaps and you can hear every little noise out of the corridor. Windows cant cancel the street noises. If you are lucky with your neighbours and a good sleeper, this will work out.

This was my first time to stay with a Dorint Hotel and I will say it is not on my list of returning to this one. Location was super convenient with public transportation. Rooms were clean and spacious. The lobby and bar were welcoming. A bonus was the water refill cooler with Mint leaves flavoring the water. Thank you for the extra touch!

The property was not worth staying . The room should be with sofa bed .. but no sofa bed ..no extra bed for my child and we all 3 have to sleep on one bed . Very uncomfortable..the TV had only germane language so can’t enjoy the entertainment. The guy ab in the Troon was not working so can’t contact any one in the hotel .. had complained regarding this many times but no one took interest.. it was very depressing to stay and even my family was upset and not happy .. I was with my 11 yes old child .. will need a refund from this property.. will not recommend any one to go .. they people over their don’t care and just say sry for everything or they say talk to our manager.. but whenever I had go to meet him the manager is not available.. I was feeling like a stupid to go again and again after paying so much .. I NEED MY REFUND FROM THIS HOTEL ASAP

My family of 5 did not enjoy our stay

Dorint Hotel is located next to tram line 2 which made going to fun places around Salzburg very easy! The hotel was well managed and the morning desk staff and bartender were very friendly. The mint water refill station was especially fantastic!

Good staff.

Air conditioning was out one very unpleasant night.

Hotel seemed to be in bankruptcy mode lacking staff and basic room accommodations. Did not answer 2 emails, left dirty towels glasses and cups in room. Did not correct issues even after I spoke to 2 different managers during our week stay. No coffee tea in room. We were given a coffee voucher at the restaurant and questioned and treated like criminals each morning. $2,000 for two rooms for two people with this lack of basic housekeeping and no Involvement from the hotel manager to correct basic issues is not a good value and a negative experience during our special trip to Salzburg. Beware of the Dorint City Hotel!

Nice place

It is a distance from the main train station and city area but if you prefer quiet location this is a place for you. You can reach there by bus 2 from main station or from salzburg airport. Both locations have a ticket machine to buy your tickets. However, the bus stop near the hotel has no ticket machine so remember to buy a ticket back or you will have to walk to the main station to get it. They are actually good restaurant (Die Weisse (Austrian), S'Kloane Brauhaus (Austrian), Ristorante Pizzeria Beccofino (Italian), China Restaurant Sonnenblume(Chinese) ) around the area that serves decent food at a cheaper price than the old town. If you arrived early, they will have a place to hold your luggage until your room is ready. As for the room, a miminum amount of tolietries and towels are provided. If you need more, don't be afraid to approach the reception to ask for a refill. A small note is that the room I am staying uses an open hanger instead of a wardrode.

Nice and clean good sized room for very good price. Breakfast is overpriced at 23€! But everything else was really good.

Large spacious rooms. Otherwise old hotel not in the best condition. Front desk staff ok. Breakfast was ok too. You get what you pay for - overall.
