Really fun trip to SD Zoo and we stayed at this hotel. It was very centrally located and we had a great time in the pool. It’s a pretty big hotel, with limited staffing but everything was very convenient.

Only negative thing was low quality of pool water. It was unexpected. We were here last year this time also and pool water was so clean but this time it was dirty. They better do something about it. Everything else was just very good !

The hotel is nice, and it has a decent breakfast and restaurant menu. You can also play ping-pong and chess, or sit by the fire.
The issue is that they charge a "destination fee." The fee covers purified water and basic amenities like the Internet. There are only two purification stations in the entire hotel, and one of them didn't work.

Very poor check in experience after a 24 hours flight with 2 kids and room was unavailable. Had to complain to get the room!☹️

Everything in and out of the hotel was great. The only problem I had was the firmness of the pillows in the rooms. They completely went flat the second I laid on it.

We requested a room with two queen beds but only kings were available due to a plumbing issue so we had to use a rollaway. We were compensated with free parking and a $50 credit per room. Otherwise our stay was very good. The hotel is conveniently located between the beaches oj La Jolla and the restaurants near La Jolla cove.

Stay was great, although the first time we wanted to use the pool all the lounges were taken the next day we went down early to save lounges. Most hotels don't allow you to do this but I guess it's okay there.
The electric car charging stations should have the time enforced. We have an electric car that is not a Tesla so there were only two chargers we could use. Some guests left their cars there all day or all night which meant we couldn't charge our car.
Staff was great and super nice and super helpful. From the valet to the bellman, to the bar tenders and house keeping all were great!
