I have stayed at the The Read House before and each time the service is amazing. Their staff are all wonderful and so helpful. The rooms are wonderful and comfortable.

Our stay was excellent. From the front desk staff to the cleaning staff and valets, they were all so nice and helpful. Our room was a King room with a wonderful view and was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were extra soft. We really enjoyed our stay! I would recommend paying the extra money for valet service. Parking in the area was not going to be easy.

This was our second stay....much different than the first. During this stay we experienced no HVAC in the casual bar and restaurant, clogged bathroom sink, heat not working in our room, only one elevator working and a terrible mattress. The only positive was a terrific Thanksgiving meal in Bridgeman's Chophouse.

Priced about the same as "budget" hotels, the Read House is a much better experience. Our room was large, clean, and beautiful. Staff were all friendly and helpful. This was our second stay and we hope to return soon!

Staff was very welcoming, valet service was prompt and affordable. Lobby was gorgeous. A lot of restaurants to choose from in the immediate neighborhood. Will stay there in our next trip to Chattanooga

enjoyed the rich history in the heart of downtown Chattanooga; it is quaint, luxurious and cozy

All the staff members I encountered were helpful and friendly. Not sure if due to room being booked through third party or not but our room was at the very end of hall. Very loud in the hall at all hours. Tub was dirty and didn't drain well at all. The chair in the room was very hard and uncomfortable, we couldn't even sit in it and the cushion on the chair obviously didn't match it. The hotel itself-lobby area, sitting areas-was beautiful.

We loved out stay. They are pet friendly and we had no issues at all.

This is the second stay at the Reed house for us. This visit I accidentally got us a room on the Manor side of the hotel. It was not very nice at all. The other side of the hotel is much better. I was disappointed. Next time I will book my stay directly through the hotel website so I know exactly what I am getting.

Wonderful experience all around. From check in, to the valet, dinner recommendations, you name it! 100% coming back!

The place was nice.. BUT.... there is public parking across from the hotel. I started to park there and questioned the front desk about it. It was advised I should use there valer parking as the public parking resets at 6 am. The thing the don't tell you is that valet parking is a 25 dollar charge to you. I felt duped/lied too... For that I would not advise this as a place to stay... dishonesty don't go far with me....

We had a wonderful time. We felt comfortable and safe and everyone was very helpful and nice. We would stay here again.

Beautiful hotel. Elegant and well-maintained. We enjoyed the walking through the various areas on the 1st and 2nd floor (library, bar, meeting rooms, silver ballroom, etc) with all of their chandeliers and 1920-1930s touches. Stayed here for our anniversary, including dinner at the Bridgeman's Chophouse (excellent food and service, very pricey). Our room had a comfy king size bed and tub which is what I appreciate. The room itself was basic. The bathroom was overly large since it was an accessible room but enjoyed the tub as I mentioned above.

This is my 3rd time staying at the Read House! Anytime we go to Chattanooga we will stay here! Employees are so kind, there is a Starbucks in the hotel, the valet boys are very impressive, the pool is perfect if you have kids, and have you seen pictures of the lobby?! This place is BEAUTIFUL

It was a experience, but it iis not a place id return to. Front desk was not informative, no room service or microwave. Very expensive, rude at front desk, too upity for my liking.

A beautiful hotel with stunning decor. Would definitely recommend.

My stay was wonderful but you thieves charged me $323.00 more than the hotel's price for 4 nights. I will never book through Hotels.com again and will shout it loud and clear on social media that Hotels.com is a grift. On our last night the hotel's price for a room was $181 and you charged me $429. You have no phone number on your site and no way to get this straightened out.

Everything was great. I wished they made an outdoor courtyard that can allow cigar smoking while enjoying a glass of whiskey.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Will return next time we’re looking for lodging in the area.

Beautiful and grand historic hotel, we stayed for two nights. The room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was in the perfect location for us, central to the activities and restaurants on both the north and south side of town. It’s about a 15 minute walk either way. There is a Starbucks located in the lobby of the hotel, perfect for an early cup of coffee. The check in was easy and the staff very friendly. Valet parking was the only option. We will stay again.

Our stay at The Read House was outstanding from check-in to checkout! All staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We enjoyed drinks at the bar but unfortunately did not have time to dine at the restaurant but will make sure to try it when we stay again. Our room was spacious and beautiful and the bed was beyond comfortable! We will definitely return!

Very well put together hotel in keeping with the original decor from when it was built. Recently updated but did not loose its original history and charm

Beautiful hotel, stayed for our anniversary. Would stay there again!

Exceptional lobby but tired rooms. Halls smell like mildew. No hot water, bathtub surface peeling, sloppy repairs/caulking, pool area needs work (handicap access & shower). Seemed understaffed.

The property has so much history and happy to see it displayed! My son enjoyed the indoor pool, and we loved the walkable location to Riverwalk, Aquarium, and great restaurants. Valet Parking was very fast

Really expected more from this hotel. Our bathroom had mold in a few places and a panel on the ceiling was falling off. Our room was not made up all day despite us being out and leaving the sign on for a room make up. We eventually had to ask them at 5pm to come and do it.
