I reserved room with 2 queen beds, upon arrival I was told they only had room with 1 bed. When I got to room it was a full size bed not even a king. I had to go back to front desk and he stated that’s all they had left. Then he took a phone call and started helping another customer. Another receptionist asked if he could help me and I told him the problem and he did offer me a king room even though that is not what I reserved. He said they must have given those out during day shift.

Run down. For the price you would think they would upkeep this hotel better. The room was falling apart. Chipped ceiling, damaged tub, broken bathroom lock, dirt in corners. The upper balcony had broken tiles that were uncomfortable to walk on. It was in an overall rough state. I'm tired of hotels asking premium prices, but not putting that money into maintaining their hotel.

Overall a good stay at the Crowne Plaza Springfield, IL. Cool old hotel and conference center. Double queen room was clean, remodeled, comfortable. Front desk staff was friendly. Breakfast staff were friendly, for the most part, but pressured us to eat fast & closed buffet prior to end time. Pictures showed a hot tub. The hot tub was permanently covered and unavailable for use. Unsure why.

We allegedly had an accessible suite. No grab bars by either toilet and one toilet was the low one that a person with disabilities could not stand up from without a grab bar. The other one was taller and there was a sink near it. Needs a grab bar!!! Staff in lounge were delightful and other staff was very helpful. Dated decor and needs some work.

The hotel is very nice. The room was big and bed was comfortable. I have only one negative thing to say. I picked this hotel because there was a hot tub by the pool...according to the pictures of the hotel on the website. But when we got to the pool..the hot tub was concreted with yellow tape around it. Wish i would of known this prior to reserving the room.

Everything was great. Our view however was horrible, we just looked out onto a roof, that wasn't a big issue since we didn't go there for the view. The hotel website states that there is a hot tub. Well there is no longer a hot tub at this location, and that was one of the main reasons for is going back there. We will be looking for other accommodations the next time we come to Springfield.

The staff at reservation desk wasn’t the friendliest if you use Expedia to book. My cousin checked in with me but we booked differently and the check-in and out staff were both indifferent both times. Book directly with the hotel if staying here. Also my room was not the cleanest. The shower curtain needed to be changed and bleached for sure and there were weird stains on the wall (I don’t even want to think what it could have been). But yeah other than that it was an okay place to be.

Before I retired, I stayed at this property often and it was always enjoyable. However, since then, the condition of this property has drastically deteriorated. The carpet is becoming threadbare, the elevators are badly beaten up, the toilet seat in our room was in bad shape (looked as if it had been dragged behind a car, and windows in our 9th floor room were so dirty you could barely see out of them. This place needs tlc quickly.

The 2 main things i was looking for in a hotel room was a hot tub. And an extra rollaway bed. They were both listed as available. That was a lie. The hot tub had just been filled w cement. And there were no extra beds. The air conditioningwas a joke. My room was set at 64 and gor up to 74 before we checked out. Wont stay there again.

No air, no overnight maintenance, this reaked havoc on my sinuses, leaving me with an unbearable sleepless night. We to service desk at 3am and still no solution.

Very clean and nice staff. What I did not like was the motion sensor facing the bed by the AC, so during the night if no one is up moving the AC unit would not cool the room, I woke up hot and sweaty with the temperature of 77 degrees in the room. Called the front desk at 11pm I was told that no one was on duty to fix the problem, I could move to another room. Most likely will never STAY there again. We also lost power last night.

This hotel is gorgeous. The lobby areas were huge and looked ritzy. Everything was very clean. After you check in the hotel even sends you a message to check that your room is satisfactory. The staff are very professional. Black out curtains and the air gets nice and cold. I wish I was in town for another night because I would have loved to stay there again! Best hotel I’ve stayed in so far.

This was the worst experience I have ever had staying at at hotel, from the poorest customer service at the front lobby to the rooms, this place needs an overhaul. The rooms were not as advertised, what you see in the photo as opposed to what you see in the actual room. This was an absolute terrible experience, if you ever come to Springfield, IL, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel!

Check in person was very rude and judgemental.
Bathroom in my room was not clean. There were only 2 towels in my room. I booked 3 rooms and only 1 was available. I had to ask and wait for towels and sheets.

Our room was double booked. Walked into someone’s personal items and luggage. Thank God the people were not in there. Could have been an embarrassing, possibly dangerous situation. The room we were given didn’t accommodate our sleeping arrangements.

Staff were very helpful, room was nice and clean. King bed was so comfortable. There was an issue with a loose bathtub nozzle, but staff was receptive when I told them about it
