The room was nice however the bath when used had a foul smell of the sewers.I thought this could of been due to no of being used for a while but it happened again the next morning before we checked out.I find it hard to believe that nobody else had complained about the smell from the bath before we arrived.
The food in the Rib room was excellent but we felt so sorry for our waitress as the restaurant was really understaffed and the poor girl was run ragged.

Booked on basis of spa photos. Half the spa photos were off limits. Hotel com say specific spa access for 2 hours at weekend then full. The hotel said 1. Indifferent staff. Ok room. Overpriced experience.

Most noisy hotel room I have ever stayed in. Right next to reception and on corridor to bars and restaurant.

Sadly, it's the last time I will stay here having stayed many times over the years. However, the constant rowdiness of people in the corridor does not enable any sleep and the quality of the food in the main restaurant is poorer than it used to be and much more expensive. Not for me any more.

Lovely stay at ramside hall for my boyfriends birthday, they hped areange balloons in the bedroom. Food was lovely and spa was soooo good! Will be coming back!

Very nice out of town hotel - £10-12 Uber trip to the centre. Lovely and helpful staff, nice rooms and a very good breakfast option. Spa and golf course on site which we didn’t use. It was however the first hotel I’ve been to in several years which has disposable plastic cups and individual shampoos, soaps etc in the bathroom. Doesn’t seem the right thing at this time. Otherwise all good.

The property has spacious rooms but standard is not 4 stars. The amazing green surroundings compensate for the dated decor of the rooms. Fusion restaurant is not very good.

We stayed one night to see Bruce Springsteen in Sunderland. Didn’t get time to use the hotel facilities as we were running late but what we did see and experience was very good, clean and tidy. Friendly staff, great location, fantastic breakfast. Would definitely stay again and make use of all the facilities they have to offer.

Lovely welcome with help with bags offered without asking. Friendly check in and immediate help when our ‘phone wouldn’t work in the room (not that we needed it- apart from to call reception to book our hour slot in for the spa facilities). Good service for food and drink on the evening and a lovely breakfast. My only slight ‘gripe’ is the hour allocation for the use of the spa area. I understand it’s to keep the number of people in the area limited but we got a bright orange ‘all inclusive type’ bracelet to wear and it just seemed the only part of the trip that was a little unnecessary. However, the spa facilities were also lovely although we could only use certain facilities. Gorgeous room with a complementary upgrade and Elmis toiletries suppled. I would definitely return!

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights as there was a conference at the hotel. The hotel is big and well used, there is a golf course and spa so always seemed busy.
The main issue is most of the staff are young and inexperienced, I left my account open so I could charge dinner and drinks back to the room, this was not done so had to pay as I went, I also booked a dinner reservation at one of the restaurants, this was not done, luckily the restaurant was quiet so was not an issue. Most of the problems were just silly like that.
It was just not my cup of tea and would not go back.

A nice hotel, but I was disappointed with my last day. I stayed for 5 nights and asked for a late checkout on the final day, only to be told checkout latest was 11am and every hour after would be a charge of £30. This seems a little extortionate and as a frequent traveller and user of this hotel many time before, a little user unfriendly. I understand they have to clean the rooms and make ready for other people, but surely there is a more customer friendly way of dealing with this.

Had a fantastic weekend at the Ramside whilst visiting friends in the area. Room was lovely. Clean, comfortable and the bathroom was stunning. Lovely view across the green to the treehouses. Very quiet we will definitely be back

Ramside Hall is always an exceptional experience. The grounds, hotel and spa are all beautiful and you feel completely revitalised after a visit. On this occasion I have to give a huge big up and THANK YOU to Leanne -the booking team -who delivered above and beyond to help accommodate me. had to change my accommodation date firstly due to a car crash and secondly when my child care fell through; helping me to accommodate bringing my daughter. She is positive and solutions focussed. She really picked me up with her bubbly approach and her desire to ensure, as a customer, I was beyond happy with my experience. She is a huge credit to Ramside and an ambassador for the group more broadly.

We came as a couple to celebrate our 7th anniversary, started with the pool and leisure facilities which were lovely but unfortunately the comfort stopped here. Our room was so hot even opening the windows did not help. We rang reception to come and turn the heaters off to be brought a fan and left with the radiator still blasting. The bath panel was peeling off, toilet was blocked ant the final nail was out food… stale, brought up in dirty plastic microwave covers and the chips were pale and greasy. We ended up leaving and returning home by 9pm so can’t comment on breakfast

Unfortunatelt the booking was not as advertised, it stated unlimited access to the pool area Mon-Thu. Whe we arrived we were told we only get an hour slot and this has to be booked.

Another lovely stay in a Premium Room. Ground floor room with views onto the golf course and patio doors leading out in to a small open terrace. Lovely bathroom with deep freestanding bath and a separate powerful shower. Very comfortable bed. Beautiful meal in The Rib Room. Both hotel and restaurant staff helpful and welcoming.

Was fighting smashing banging screaming arguing police in corridor outside my room until 04:30, had 0 sleep, for an expensive hotel I expected a free return to the hotel or money back, but all we got was a apology

The hotel definitely needs an upgrade/refresh in places. Staff attitude varies. In some cases, really friendly and knowledgeable, in others could could the extra mile to be of standard you’d expect from this level of hotel. Feel like trying to charge for everything (eg £1.50 teas in lobby). Understand why but annoying to have to book a single hour slot for the pool. Rib room nice but some dishes style over substance and under seasoned. Overall lovely time though and the spa and gym in particular are great. The bar vibe is cool.

Room was nice, big bathroom. Shower door didn’t close properly, extractor fan just above head in shower was filthy. Unfortunately overall cleanliness let it down. Had dinner in rib room, fantastic food. Breakfast nice food, would have loved a pot of tea. Helping yourself to pre made tea wasn’t good. Spa facilities really nice.
