Stayed here in room 2 for 2 nights. I arrived about 4pm and was checked in. The guest house offers breakfast for an extra charge and I asked for the vegetarian option. The room was located on the first floor via stairs. Not really accessible for those with mobility problems, although there were definitely rooms on the ground floor too. The room was good sized with a single bed, wardrobe, a cabinet, a hairdryer, a washing sink and an armchair. Bath and hand towels were also provided. I had stayed the previous summer in another room and a small fan was provided. This room didn’t have that. One of the nights was hot enough that I slept without covers, so a fan would definitely have been welcome, but not a showstopper. There was no desk to work on, which made working on my laptop a bit difficult. Location-wise, the hotel is close to the Lincolnshire Wolds and about 30 minutes to the Humberside, by car. There’s not much in Barnetby-le-Wold, although there is a small supermarket nearby and a Co-op about 15 minutes walk. Overall, I had an excellent stay.

The property, itself, is very clean and the bed was comfortable. The room size was about right, given my brief stay but I was surprised that the bathroom/shower facilities were shared; it had stated 'private bathroom' on their Expedia Listing. Given my early departure this could have been an issue; meaning having to get up extra early to guarantee being able to shower before leaving (for work/business). Location wise it is close to the railway station and a few shops/takeaways/restaurants. If the bathroom situation is not an issue (for you) then I'd recommend. Quiet area too.

Excellent value, clean, quiet property.

Excellent base for my train-watching activities given that it is only about 3 minutes walk from Barnetby station. A hearty cooked breakfast, and the option of having a cooked dinner in the evening as well. I will be back!

The tv was not working. the controller was worn out. The single bed cover was barely adequate but such a nice place and the staff are wonderful. A superb laundry service

I needed overnight accomodation to visit friends in the area, (I’m from Perth, Australia), Sharon and Olivia were so helpful from start to finish. I arrived very late and was given precise instructions how to access the property after hours, Went straight to bed, excellent nights sleep, room very clean / tidy, all facilities needed, I was lucky to be next to the shower room, great shower, again very clean and all required facilities. Breakfast was 11 out of 10, fruit / yogurt to start, full English Breakfast and fresh bread to toast with jams etc. Olivia really looked after me. I was jet lagged, the comfortable bed helped me sleep well, I will stay here again when visiting the UK next year again- Thanks.

It is one of the best guest houses I have ever stayed in. Everything was excellent, especially the staff. My only gripe would be there was a shortage of channels on the tv, but I am scaping the bottom of the barrel there.

As always excellent value and friendly staff. Never had a grumble in 5 stays. Over the years I've paid a lot more for a lot less at some other paces.

Good value guest house accommodation. Handy for Hull via Humber Bridge, where I had a work assignment - less than 30 minute journey away. Unable to sample breakfast as due in work at 5.30 a.m. and employer provided it anyway. Would use again if in area. Pleasant and helpful owner who greeted me on arrival.
