Really good value for money and staff were lovely and helpful. Good location, easy to access from M62 and good transport links to Halifax and Huddersfield. The room we stayed in could do with a refurb, especially the bathroom which didn’t meet our expectations. It’s evident this is happening throughout the hotel, as the communal areas were really bright and modern.

My concerns were: Diabled parking 30 steps to entrance No rails on steps 1 rail 12 inches too short. Otherwise Good breakfast Comfortable mattress

Great value hotel, good access and good service. Cocktails were expensive and not brilliant, but otherwise a great experience

Bathroom door did not close. Extractor fan did not work. Front desk very off hand about this. Cleaning staff were excellent friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was fabulous and good variety of food.

For the price this hotel is very average to say the least. Bar and restaurant area is ok but rooms are poor and the bathrooms are very old. Don’t expect to see black mould around the baths in rooms that cost over £100.00. for the night.

Check-in was a disaster - one of our room keys was for an occupied room, and the occupant was there. Fortunately, very fortunately, nothing embarrassing ensued. But apart from this, the hotel was fine and the staff were nice.

Stayed here before, nice hotel with great price, super nice staff and cleavers are friendly too. Love it here.

Rooms good and staff would have given 5 stars for staff if they had not caused the hassle over how to pay for parking But 5 Stars to Abby and Charlie for sorting it out will stay again

The hotel is fine overall and staff were pleasant. There did seem to be times where only one person was working both reception and the bar area which caused some delays. The bathrooms are functional but a bit dated now. Need a program of refurbishment. The cooked breakfast was disappointing with tough bacon and luke warm sausages. There was plenty of other choices however which were acceptable. Beds were comfortable and room was a decent size. The outside areas were nicely done with lots of flowers and grassy areas. The inner courtyard was especially nice to sit in. Overall a decent hotel but some room for improvement.

The room was clean and presented well enough. Slightly dated but nothing to detract from the stay. The staff were very helpful and attentive. I would say again if in Huddersfield.

The stay as a whole was excellent, the high point being the food which was delicious. The room decor was dated with lots of dark wood panelling. The staff were really friendly and very helpful!

Very friendly and helpful staff at reception. Room was lovely. Very clean and modern. Bed very comfortable. Nice breakfast. A great stay. Had a lovey area to sit outside. In good position just off motorway. Good base to explore local area. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel but was charged for parking and this was not flagged to us. Food is pricey for the quality

It's essentially on a motorway with nothing nearby and so not pedestrian friendly. This means you have to but their overpriced food. Main issue was the staff. Check in took far too long as only one staff member at the desk. She seemed a bit clueless and made jokes about my (foreign) surname. Very unprofessional.

Staff at reception were very helpful. Conveniently located and it was quiet. Garden extremely well attended.

The staff and their service provided was excellent. Location was good for us too. Room was nice and spacious, very clean and seems to have been modernised recently. No A/C but didn’t need during our stay. Was a bit cool in the room at night. Breakfast was OK I’d say around 7.5/10 but if prepaid at £12 it’s worth it. £4 parking charge is annoying and should be taken off the room charge. For what we paid I’d definitely stay again and would recommend.

Pleasant stay for 1 night business trip. Room clean and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet and evening meal were ok. Nothing special but reasonably priced. Gym was a bit small and basic but I was the only person in there from 7-8am so size was not a problem.

Charlie kindly sorted out some issues very well, and we thank her for that!

Nice hotel. Recently refurbished

This is a beautiful hotel just outside Halifax. The price is a great deal considering all of the amenities and the incredible service provided by the staff. An Uber from the train station will cost you no more than 15 pounds. If you want to go into Halifax during the day, you can take the city bus for less than 3 pounds. It stops about a five minute walk from the hotel and takes you right into the center of town. It was better value to stay here and take an Uber to and from the train station and the city bus into Halifax than it was to stay in hotels in the city center. The customer service sets this hotel apart. I had to check in late after my train was delayed but they have a 24 hour front desk and friendly people to help at any hour. Definitely consider taking the bus into the city if you've taken the train to get there. Highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Great place for stop before meetings

The hotel itself is well kitted out big comfy bed, big telly, plus sockets by the bed etc. But the cleanliness was lacking hairs in the shower, the sealant on the base of the loo, shower and sink unit was grubby and some unknown grunk on the front of the sink I ended up scraping off. Patchy WiFi and the kicker is the parking fee despite being well out of the centre and no realistic option to get there but the car.

2 hour wait for dinner and still charged a service charge. Parking is an extra charge.

Absolutely terrible to not working in room got moved to a room kettle didn’t work only to complain in morning for staff member to laugh about the situation worst hotel ever stayed
