Exceeded our expectations.

It was great however it was more like a hostel than a hotel which was a bit surprising, however everything was very nice and the staff very friendly. The breakfast and drinks in the bar are cheap and it is a very lively place.

I recommend this hotel for comfort, hygiene, and the staff services are exceptional (hotel & bar), in a real and decent way. thank you! We also thank at the reception for they seriousness and promptness, he is attentive to all the details so that everything is perfect, but if you have a wish do not hesitate, they will help you. everything is as in the pictures posted on the site. the street is full of shops and is lively until late in the evening, where you can find everything you want. The services offered were clearly higher than the booking price. Thanks again!

It is not a hotel but a hostel. The room and the bathroom was dirty, installations very old, not renovated for years. The mattress was terrible I could feel each of the metal springs inside ... The whole place is extremely noisy, we did not had a lot of sleep.

Hotel changed name from Brittania to Ostello Bello. Arrival by taxi from airport 10minutes at 17 Euros. Hotel has a submarine theme to it. Free drinks were given on arrival, 2 glasses of Montepulciano. Room spacious. It was great

Run down rooms and student vibe (read loud and uncomfortable). Breakfast was a mess with broken coffee machines and queues for everything. Overpriced for bad quality.

Super helpful staff, I had a package sent there a week before I checked in, which was no problem. They were also very helpful, letting us store our bikes securely inside!

A great location, close to a variety of bars, restaurants and shops. The room was spacious with excellent amenities. Staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Super friendly staff, they offered us welcome drink, helped with all we asked for. Really nice terasse on the 2nd floor with fully equipped kitchen, you can cook for yourself or just enjoy glass of wine. Central position of hotel. Highly recommend we had our 2little kids with us.

Location is near to train station. Front desk staff is courtesy speaks English. Room is dusty as seen in 2 of 4 rooms booked. Lighting is dim, insufficient and below reasonable eyes vision and one of the light does not work (major wall mounted light is not working) no one fix it before we move out. Ok to stay 1 night. Strange construction, some rooms situated 3 steps up from main floor, heavy baggage nightmare.

The hotel should provide two pillows, one hard and one soft for each guest. During my last stay after the cruise, ythe hotel provide room with staircase inside the room which is a fall hazards especially we are seniors.

Location was great. Cleanliness was lacking. Stains on the carpet. Mold in the bathroom. Needs updating.

The hotel is excellent in location, within 5 minute's walk from the train station, and is close to the city center. The staff is very friendly and polite, professional in their service. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast is excellent.

We booked this hotel for its proximity to the train station. It is very near the main train station. Most of the sites of interest are within walking distance (we are walkers so others may disagree). Our initial contact with the desk staff was disappointing. We waited for about 10 minutes while the sole person on the desk talked to someone on the phone. When she did turn to us, her attitude was not great. However, other staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very basic but for the price that is to be expected. The shower turned out to be a struggle to both get washed and to keep the water in the tub. Water was everywhere! The breakfast was very good with fresh breads and pastries, some fruits and juices, and coffee or tea.

This hotel is very good value for the price you pay. 3-4 minutes walk from railway station and the airport bus stop. City center is within easy reach by walking. Hotel staff is very friendly (especially Sonia who understands everything you say in English and does her best to answer in English but does everything to help you). Breakfast is fine. I was given a room on the sixth floor. the room was decorated well, impeccably clean and huge. There were only 10 TV channels operating, but I was told the Tv system was being repaired. Free and fast vi-fi available. Plenty of restaurants and cafes, nearby.Next time I am in Genoa I shall definitely stay in this hotel.

If you are looking for an apartment but with hotel facilities. We had studio apartment, but kitchen area was very small. Great for making breakfast but wouldn't want to be cooking anything else. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful especially as I had trouble with internet connection. Internet would not work in room,but would work in common areas. Couldn't resolve problem, but staff were most helpful. But all the same very frustrating.

This is an excellently sited hotel, a few paces from the main railway station and the first stop for the airport 'bus. The walk into the Old City takes you along the Via Balbi with its palaces, and it has easy access to all the central sights without any need to use public transport. The hotel itself lacks character, but the rooms are spacious and very clean and the staff are helpful. There is plenty of breakfast, even if it is a little unimaginative. Some of the online reviews for this hotel are, I feel, quite unfair, especially those which complain about the parking - why would anyone wnat to drive into the middle of Genoa? I'm afraid the city was not built for the motor car, and I suspect there is no hotel in the city which has easily accessible parking. Genoa is a great city to visit, a lot cheaper than many in Italy, with a good contrast between the historic Old City and the newly redeveloped Old Port. There are also opportunities to get out of the city and along the Ligurian coast, which has a very good train service. We had a most enjoyable four night stay here.
