Loved my stay here, very clean, and friendly service.

Very nice hotel convenient for the university. Very well maintained and decorated. Rooms clean and well maintained. Rooms a little small but more than adequate for a few days visiting the city. The breakfasts have a wide selection of choices. The breakfast room was welcoming and clean. The hot breakfast was excellent- although would have liked some black pudding and scambled eggs. Very nice hotel- have been here before and will probably visit again.

Upon arrival, checking in staff at night didnt provide information where things were in the hotel so we were left guessing. It’s prided with being LGBT friendly. it the guy who checked us in was quite hostile compared to other people. Asked himabout breakfast and said wanted to book for two mornings only booked for one. Breakfast was cold. Day staff were lovely and location was good to walk around and access. Noise THROUGHOUT the night so hard to get a good nights sleep.

Compact room that packed a lot in - a very economical use of space! Had everything you need - hair dryer, tea/ coffee, TV, wi-fi, places to store hand luggage and a bible. Can tell it's mainly for conference/ events in the way everything's designed and laid out. Has a very professional vibe. Breakfast was brilliant and I loved my stay.

Ok stay as booked last minute, my room was small, dark and dingy - quite expensive for what it was. The hotel needs a re-vamp it’s looking tired. There was quite a lot of noise on an evening from other guests. I frequently smelt weed on the corridors.

The main areas of the hotel are lovely, well maintained and well signposted. The burgers in the bar were really excellent. The staff were nice and the hotel was a really good venue for the convention, with good spaces for presenting as well as large meeting rooms. Nothing ever felt cramped.
The room itself was functional, just enough space for the weekend but I wouldn't stay there for much longer, the bed was quite uncomfortable and squeaky. The shower was fine.
When we asked for another duvet reception seemed fairly confused, and gave us a matress topper and a dirty sheet to cover it?
The location of the hotel is also good, just a 15 minute walk into the busier part of town. The carpark is conveniently located but had signs up that it would be closing 20th Oct 24.
A nice enough place for an event

A nice place to stay for a few days!

very good

Small accommodation but fine for a short stay. Room decor looking tired in places and other guest's were quite noisy returning in the early hours. Would have been useful to have had bedside table and light next to bed. Restaurant staff not very aware of what is/isn’t vegan. I would nevertheless stay here again due to convenience and value for money.

Staff are helpful and pleasant. Overall impression is that it is a bit rundown. The area is also drab and rundown.

As it was Saturday it was very noisy with a lot of people coming and going.

Room fixtures rather worn. Otherwise ok and fair value

The hotel is fine for a short stay but it’s really dated and needs a bit of TLC and moving from the 1990’s. It was really warm in the room and no sockets near the bed
2.0
The place looks a bit dated, needs a refresh and some paint. Our double room was extremely small. We could not bot move around at the same time. Having said that, a good location for the city centre and transport links and the service was friendly and efficient

I would say my stay was reasonably good. As I expected from reading other reviews the property was a little bit outdated. Some mold in the bathroom could be cleaned

No bacon sandwiches!
£10 for a Full English Breakfast may be good, but what if you only want a bacon sandwich? Nope! I gotta walk a mile into the city centre to cisit Greggs!
3.0
The bathroom door seemed to be coming off
Carpets didnt seem that clean
All in all an okay property if you want a budget hotel

The American bar man is a true gent. Staff were great. I had a very comfortable stay. The only downside was that in the bathroom there was oddly only hand soap and hair conditioner, not shampoo or shower gel.

Full English Breakfast available for £11, but not a sandwich!
I have to be up early around half seven, but don't want a big breakfast.
In the restaurant, I asked if i could just buy a bacon sandwich, but was told NO! Full breakfasts only!
I had to walk half a mile into Manchester city centre to find a Greggs!
Shame, the bacon looked great...

Great hotel only downside is the room was very small, but would stay again

From initial inquiries to departing the staff were nothing but fantastic..polite, professional and helpful. I'd honestly say the staff were a credit to the company.
We asked for a room on the quieter part of the hotel and we were very happy with where we were located, the room was modern, exceptionally clean and we were pleased to have tea, coffee and biscuits.
Breakfast was delicious, all quality produce and presented well. A great selection to cater for all requirements.
We would definitely stay again on having plans in this area of Manchester.

Good stuff:
1. Really nice staff. Checking in and out was very easy. They kindly booked me a taxi one morning too and it arrived so quickly
2. Fab breakfast. Gorgeous sausages!
3. The hotel is close to the centre of town
4. Very clean!! Good, little bathroom.
The only issues were:
1. Heat: there was no air con and although the room had a little desk fan, it really wasn’t sufficient. I was boiling through the night.
2. There wasn’t a fridge
2. They don’t have a gym either but I should have checked this before booking.

The main thing to understand is that this is like a university residence. My room was a true single - including a single bed - and very small desk, bathroom (but private!), etc. However, I was expecting this and it was all I needed for one night. The place has all the other normal things you'd expect in a hotel - luggage storage, on-site restaurant, etc. The breakfast was much more elaborate than expected, and very hearty! Location is very good as well, within walking distance of the Medieval Quarter and the historical sites and museums (but not convenient for the Etihad or Old Trafford stadiums). Also close to Piccadilly Station, which was a big selling point for me.

I had a nice time at this hotel. The check in was easy and the included breakfast was very good. However, I was in a room next to one of the lifts and it started to get a little noisy early in the morning when the lifts were being used. Room 436.

While the room was reasonably clean it was very small and needed some updating and wasn’t worth the £180 a night although the breakfast was ok also.

The noise outside the room was terrible we didn’t sleep at all on our final night. You can hear doors slamming constantly mixed with the sound of other guests, there’s literally no sound proofing whatsoever. The compact double room is compact which would be forgivable if the bed wasn’t so rubbish. It’s disappointing because all of the staff were courteous but they need to invest in making the rooms comfortable with the basics, so people can get a decent nights sleep.
