Two young men had been abandoned to try to run the hotel and restaurant on their own. Probably not what they normally did!

Hotel was in nice grounds with areas outside the hotel to walk the dog. Expensive and limited menu so we ate at Wok 86 which was incredible. We highly recommend you ignore the reviews and the reception staff and try it for yourself.
All you can eat AND drink for a set fee.
Hotel room was small and basic but clean and tidy.

I arrived at the hotel quite late at night and wanted to get some rest after a long journey. The room was awful as it was COVERED in flies. They were all over the door (as the room faces the garden) which you could just about accept. But once I opened the door I was horrified as there were hundreds of flies over the bedding, lights and door way. It was impossible to stay there so I left. I have to give credit to the lovely lady Rachel on reception who was understanding and apologetic.
Hotels.com were useless with helping me move - avoid

The Campanile Poiniters Sud, was fine to stay for as a stop over. Although near the airport the noice was minimal, only heard one plane but not too loud. Room and bed was comfortable but outside the hotel need maintenance, looking rather tired and unwelcoming. Nice breakfast, and staff welcoming.

Good place to stop when travelling south or north. We have stayed here several times. This time we included breakfast which was good value. Only problem was teapots had no lids so tea wasn't warmenough

We like this hotel as we travel with our dogs and it has a huge field for walks. Request a garden view to get a room overlooking the green area. The area is a bit industrial so not much in the choice of restaurants but very convenient for our trip back to Caen and the ferry. Room was clean if a bit tired. Only complaint was aircon does not warm and it was very cold out so a bit of heat would have been appreciated. Also although there are tea making facilities in the room you are only allotted 2 coffees, 1 tea bag and a herbal tea plus a little milk and sugar so if you like a good brew take your own.

We’ve stayed in a few Campaniles over the years & they are comfortable, clean, service is good, food great, beds comyall at a reasonable price. Will visit again sometime.

Check in was quick and receptionist v friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. A couple of things didn’t work. Light by bed and window shutter. Front of house could only be described as back of house. Not v arrentative and not there when needed.

Stayed before. Welcoming to dogs. Handy as Supermarket( Auchen ) 5 mins walk away.Ask for room at back if you have dog as acre of land for dog to explore!

Hotel was easy to find, clean and very accommodating in relation to my dogs. The staff were very friendly and the food was of a very good standard. Would thoroughly recommend the campanile.

Reasonably priced in a Quiet and safe area. Pets allowed and food on site but not great! However, there are other food outlets nearby including fast food. Only about 2 Km from the motorway.

Good example of the Campanile format. Rooms are simple and unfussy but beds and bathrooms have recently been upgraded and make this an excellent option for an overnight stop for weary travellers. Lovely to be offered choice of ground floor or first floor room. Bathroom in our room was very high-tech but thankfully easy to use. Restaurant offers various options; not cordon bleu but very good food and excellent value.

Hotel fine. Food good. Speak good English (we do speak French) Good location but as usual its on and industrial estate. This did not bother us as we were en route to Spain so arrived at 1900 and left next day at 0630. Its in a good position for that type of trip.

We were heading south & this hotel was well situated for getting on the motorway. The rooms had been modernised & the bed was large & comfy. The bathroom was a wet room & had a super shower. The only thing was the whole floor got wet & it was difficult to find anywhere dry enough to walk on. We went for a meal & had the buffet starter. It was terrific. The main course of chicken was good but not fantastic. The sweet buffer looked very appealing but we didn't sample it. All in all a good hotel & I would recommend it.

We booked this motel as the reviews seemed ok and we were not disappointed. Ok its not posh but it is clean and comfortable and did.t cost a fortune. Although its next to a busy road once you are in your room you cannot hear the traffic. A short walk down the road and thee are plenty of places to eat and also a shopping mall.
