I love this little hotel. Nothing too fancy but beautiful every where you look. There were no other Americans besides my little family which is exactly what we were looking for. The wait staff treats us like royalty and seemed to do the same for all other guests. Enzo and his staff worked hard to make sure we always felt at home and "understood" which is no easy feat! Food at the restaurant was incredible (Ask for Paolo as your waiter!). When my daughter (7 years old) didn't like her meal choice (the different cheeses were funny to her lol) Paolo made a huge deal out of her happiness and went way out of his way to make sure she was happy. She loved him and the place every time after that. Breakfast buffet was great and cappacinos came out in an instant after requesting 1 or 2 or 3! Spent 1 night in downtown Naples at a "major "hotel". It wasn't close. We came right back and my brother even got a room that night because he loved it so much more than his Naples hotel. I highly, highly recommended this place if you ever find yourself near Naples. Agave Hotel in Pozzuoli, thanks for such a wonderful trip full of great memories for me and my family ❤

Nice place with great pool. Perfect beach within 20 min with car (miseno beach) good personal, calm place, good pizza, nice room.

The Agave reminds me of one of those resorts in the Catskills that has seen better days yet still has lots to offer. In particular, the pool and grounds are very lovely as is the restaurant around the pool in the evening. Oddly, the pool is 'closed' at 6pm and despite the resort feel, the hotel does not provide pool towels. Our group had two rooms both were clean and functional. The bar fridge in ours did not work. In the other room the air conditioning did not work. Despite complaints and visits from Antonio, the parking lot attendant, who only insisted that we were using it wrong, nothing was done to remedy the situation. Promises of fans or relocation to another room failed to materialize. Finally, the breakfast buffet left a lot to be desired. The choices were narrow (nothing hot) and most of the time several of the stations were empty. Getting a coffee from the staff was far more difficult than it should be.

Quite, peaceful and lovely hotel, perfect for a break to visit Pozzuoli and Campi Flegrei. Surrounded by trees and flower, slightly difficult to find (don't use iPhone's Maps, it sent me in the middle of nowhere. Use a navsat or Google Maps) but as soon as you find it you'll love the location.

A great hotel and a very friendly staff. Had a wonderful 6-night stay. Enzo at the front desk and Pepe in the restaurant are tremendously helpful and make you feel at home, as does the rest of the staff. The food in the restaurant is fantastic. The rooms are spotless and well kept. The recreational facilities are impressive. The only drawback is that there is nothing within walking distance, but immediate access to the highway makes up for that. Overall -- an excellent choice for anyone looking for value in a hotel in this area -- will definitely be back. Thanks for a very pleasant stay.

First, be sure and get their map for getting there, if by car. It is not tricky, but we lived in the area 30 years ago for 3+ years, and much has changed, so our deadreckoning attempt made it challenging. Best way is to enter the longitude and lattitude coordinates in your GPS, and it will take you right there. Upon arrival we were pleased that it was so well appointed with BIG pool, large sunning patio, outdoor (covered area, too) restaurant., plus a nice restaurant "downstairs." The wood burning pizza (forno di legno) and excellent menu offerings resulted in our eating most times right there. Cameriere Peitro and others added to our enjoyment. We were especially pleased to find the local Piedirosso from nearby Piscina Mirabilis at $18 was as good as any other, short of some $100+ Tignanello Super Tuscans. They had wi-fi, but for us without a computer or iPad, they also had a computer for use by residents. Among others who enhanced our stay were Pepe, Valeria, Anna, Ida, Enzo, Carmine, and one man who looked a lot like Patrick Stewart of Star Trek fame. The entire staff was involved, almost around the clock, especially supporting special events. Very impressive, indeed. We REALLY enjoyed our return to the Napoli area and the wonderful food that is, in our opinion, even better than the otherwise unsurpassed food elsewhere in Italy.

Very comfortable, excellent pool. Good food. Wine was local,good and sensibly priced. Dining was later ( 7.30- 8.00pm) than preferred. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful, good English spoken.

However, what makes this hotel unique, and something that wasn't clear when booking is the nature of its location. After finally finding it, not an easy feat, we discovered that the hotel was located in a service station, on the side of a dual carriageway. It did make access to the hotel very difficult. We were lucky that we were driving, but there's not a bus stop or a way to walk to the hotel and this wasn't made clear in the description. A great stay, if you can get there, and you don't mind a little road noise whilst lying by the pool!!!

Unfortunately we do have some negative comments: The breakfast was very disappointing as there was no fresh bread only the plastic wrapped French toast. It would also have been nice with some cheese and ham. There was only jam and nutella. The coffee was great though. The staff didnt speek English and seemed rude. We got told off for not wearing swimming hats in the pool and our five year old son was told off for jumping into pool even though we were the only ones in there. The WiFi didnt work. We wanted to watch some of the Olympics in the evenings but the tv signal was too weak. The restaurant served nice food but didnt open till around 8.30. The pool area was well maintained but the rest of the hotel grounds seemed sad and forgotten. The hotel is next to a motorway and the area isnt very pleasant. We wouldnt come here again or recommend this place to our friends.

Once I founb the place and got intoi my room there it was the ruled of behavior for the hotel guest, what are we in 1st grade again, what in insult. Then there was the breakfast, what a joke. I am in Italy for 35 days this was hotel nember seven, it was the most expensive hotel I stayed in and it had cheapist breakfast of them all. They did not even stock artificail sweatner for guest that may not be able to have sugar, really in this day abnd age. what would that be a $2.00 investment, then there was the so called WiFi Ha! I keep telling them it was not working, even after commiong to my room and not be able to log on they said there was nothing wrong. I could the modem in the lobby and it was not working but they did not believe me. I check out a day early but while checking out they asked what I used in the mini bar (It was never stocked) the maid try to say it was this lead to another argument. This hotel is a joke the satff does not care about your stay. This place should be about $20.00 a night.

The hotel would have been OK if we had arrived by car, but as we were travelling without transport it was almost impossible to reach, other than walking up a motorway junction slip road and then 500m along the hard shoulder. Not recommended with Italian driving! The hotel did offer to source a taxi - at Euro 50 for a single trip into Naples and the same for the return. The Hotel service was random. The room was only serviced once - the day before we were leaving and often the breakfast was served late because the waitress had not arrived on time.

a nice place to relax in and be out in the country like atmosphere for a few days.If one has a car than it is convenient.The pool and the pizza are excellent.the girls and the boys at the reception are helpful but they only speak italian. the room is clean and has a nice little terrace that gives on the garden in full bloom. very nice view of the hills although the hotel is located on a highway above a gas station.where there is a small bar and a small shop to buy cigarettes and candies etc.

Although a bit hard to find, once we got to this hotel our stay was absolutely wonderful! Although close to the city and major highways, once we entered the gate we felt like we were in paradise! The hotel is well-kept with a lovely pool and beautiful gardens. The breakfast was tasty and the rooms spacious and convenient.

The restaurant had published hours of operation but the crew did not hold to the published times. They were usually about 30-45 minutes later on opening for both breakfast and dinner. The food was great and service was too, especially Vincent! He really seemed to enjoy his job and it showed. He worked some very long hours yet always had a smile!The housekeeping crew did an excellent job! They were very thourough and very curtious to my privacyThe pool was always clean and in order. The pool attendant (I didn't get his name) was very nice!My only complaint was that there were a couple of parties at the pool, during the week, that lasted until midnight-0100. The noise from the DJ was above levels that allowed anyone to get a good night's sleep. This only happened a couple of times tthough.I will definately return in the fall! And I recommend it to anyone that asks!
