The location is okay but requires a 20 walk to train station & 20 min walk to sites areas

The room was good and all necessary was available. Little negative notices: The "Holiday Inn" ballpoint pen at the room was not in best shape, old and hardly worked (did not gave color). At reception room there were a PC and a printer for occasional use. The PC operating system was Windows 7. It looked like that this PC has not been updated for a long time. But all other things: reception service was frendly and room was very good.

Good location in Salzburg near to a Number 2 bus stop that runs to and from the airport. Staff were friendly and helpful. Also within about a 20 minute walking distance from the centre of Salzburg.

This property was a terrible representation of Holiday Inn. The rooms were incredibly hot with very poor air conditioning. Not as advertised. We changed rooms and the second one was not clean. The bathroom had hairs in it and mold in it that Had never been really scrub clean. The furniture was old and tired with lots of scratches shelving that came unhooked. We would never ever stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

Hotel was great! It was a little bit far from the main area but definitely walkable about 20-30 min and it was a pleasant walk. Area felt safe. Hotel room itself wasn’t the most updated holiday inn I’ve been to but it was spacious and we had a balcony so that was really nice. Some things in our room were broken like the hair dryer and some of the lights didn’t work. The breakfast was amazing and the staff was helpful

Short walking into Salzburg centre and old town, nice breakfast, pleasant rooms.

Clean and comfortable stay at Basic hotel. The receptionists were polite and helpful. It’s convenient to move from place to place by bus.

The room was lovely. We had a small issue with the thermostat, which was corrected immediately. The views were lovely. Bar and restaurant were wonderful!

Brilliant staff who helped with all requests. Accommodated our bikes safely. Very good breakfast. Public spaces very good quality. Room small, hot and with lower quality bedding.

Perfect. 10 minute walk from old town

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Food was good, a great start to the day. Air con a little noisy, but that’s a first-world problem. Close to the Old Town, we enjoyed the 12 min walk! We’d choose this hotel again.

About 30 minutes walking distance to old town. Parking is available on the site with Cost €10 outside and €20 in garage. Good breakfast.

Holiday inn Salzburg is just off city centre on a quiet stretch of road but not badly located as you can walk to most places or get the bus. There are local convenience shops & restaurants so overall the location is ok. I requested a high floor when booked and was acknowledged by the hotel but did not get one. Instead got 1st floor which not only had a communal terrace/balcony but the view was terrible. The terrace could do with some cleaning & maintenance. Outside the rooms is a large open corridor which echos but also the hotel has placed communal tables & chairs which attracts guest to sit outside the room & were noisy. The doors slam which is annoying as well, in general the hotel is noisy. The rooms are clean & comfortable enough but they do not get serviced unless requested, this wasn't clear, by the time we realised it was too late. The air conditioning did not work or the bathroom extractor fan. The main redemption is the buffet breakfast which is excellent since ours was included in our booking. Lots of choice & everything you need to fill you up for the start of the day. The staff are very good also, very polite & helpful. One evening we ordered a Nockerl dessert from the restaurant, was quoted 20 minutes wait but took over an hour. Was completely overcooked, sunken & tasteless so this was really disappointing but the waiter knew & removed this from our bill. I would actually stay here again if i could ensure a decent room as the value was good.

Our room was really warm and when I called down to ask about how to work the AC, I was told that it being March 10, the AC wasn’t turned on yet. However, the hallways, fitness center, and common areas were all cool, so I don’t believe the AC was not turned on in the building. We had to leave the window open and request a fan to cool down the room to a comfortable level. Further, I was asked upon check-in if we wanted cleaning service during our stay but our room was never cleaned. Not a huge deal, but I’m trying to give an honest and fair review. The customer service was a bit lacking and next time I’m in Salzburg I’ll likely be looking for another option for a hotel.

Hotel is average on rooms. Good for 1-2 nights. Breakfast is good but dinners are limited to cheap pizza if you eat at hotel. Restaurants available 0.2–0.4 miles from hotel. Staff is excellent.

Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent choice for breakfast - hot & cold. Room slightly worn looking but good shower. Only negative was smell of cooking in the room (via aircon) and in the hallway outside the room.

We were stranded, they had a room. It was clean warm and the staff was extremely helpful. They made sure we had a taxi to get to the bus very early in the morning. It was expensive but rooms were at a premium.

The hotel lies a little bit on the outskirts of central Salzburg, so you're not in the picture postcard pretty part of it but central Salzburg is easily walkable from there (15 mins). It likewise is not too far from the train station (maybe 10-15 minutes). I still got a nice view of one of the mountains in Salzburg. The staff are lovely and friendly. The rooms are very nice and breakfast was excellent.

The staff were very helpful providing us with tour information, answering our questions and arranging taxis. The room was comfortable and clean. The views of the mountains and Salzburg from the room were lovely.

We got to the hotel to check in only to find out was sold out. They eventually put us in another hotel where I now have to pay to park and pay for breakfast. Both were free at the hotel I initially booked.

there was not alot of food places around hotel to access - had to walk 15 mins to get to area for food. Food was limited at hotel. Bed was comfy, lots of space inside, safe was handy to store passports etc., but AC was not working and it faced the sun directly- so it was a sauna- muggy and hot- hard to sleep- had to call front staff to help- they found the AC unit was not working- so they gave us a fan which helped to give a breeze to cool us off-but felt like hot outdoor camping. Closed the blinds during the day to try to help in the reduction of heat- did a little. if it wasn't for that part the stay would have been better.

About 20 min walk or 3-4 bus stops from town area, quiet for relaxation.
