Nice facility food was good but the worst resort I’ve ever been a guest, rooms were very uncomfortable the room constantly flooded from the toilet or the shower most of the staff were not friendly and good luck getting any help from the staff or manager with issues other than would you like to change your room for the 5th time

Beautiful grounds and food that was mostly good…very nice rooftop bar and awesome coffee shop with frappes and a hibachi restaurant. The bathrooms were one of the most inconvenient I’ve ever experienced. Also, the room’s phone was never fixed and some staff members were not very friendly/helpful. Overall, a nice, budget-friendly resort, but don’t think I would stay there again.

The same lady from the previous year still works there and she remember my family and I, making sure we were good throughout our stay!

My family and I absolutely loved our stay here. The staff was so friendly and attentive. The resort offers daily activities for all ages and they also have shows at the theater every night. The staff at the kids club were amazing with my daughter, and my teenagers who are not so easily amused or pleased loved playing at the teens club. The only thing I would say to be aware of is the timeshare company that is located there trying to lure people into buying into their “vacation plan”. They asked for 60 min of our time and ended up wasting 3 hours of our day. Overall, thank you to all the kind staff at Tropical Deluxe Princess for sharing your beautiful island with us and giving us an amazing and memorable experience. We will see you all again for sure!

My friends and i made 3 separate bookings for our trip and by far this was the worst stay of my life. Collective, we've all been to over 10 countries in the past year and I've never experience such bad service. First off, our room wasn't clean before we got there and we had to sleep over the bed with a blanket since the sheets on the bed and pillows were not swotched from whoeevr stayed there before us. This took over 2 days to get new sheets and pillows... we also had to nag the front desk to do their job multiple times. I actually emailed the resort service multiple weeks in advance to book restaurant reservations and excursions but was ignored after several follow ups. We were not told upon arrival that the only place available to eat was the buffet and everything else had to be reserved. To make matters worse you cant make same day reservarions and you can only reserve up to 2 daya in advance. None of this was told to us. Additionally, we didn't know that there would be individuals selling itema inside the hotel properly, who posses a harrasing sales attitude. I understand that they could be on the beach but a heads about several being inside the resort would have been nice. Also, you do not get new towels every day as it is customary when the cleaning crew comes to housekeeping daily. As for pool towels, you can only grab one daily and there is literally only 1 spot to get them from in the whole resort. The buffet staff is rude and highly unprofessional.

This property has a great set up. The beach was beautiful and the pools were large and had enough loungers and umbrellas for everyone. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. We will definitely return.

My family loved this resort. The staff, entertainment, food and beautiful grounds, pools and beach were just what family needed for a great vacation. My 4 teenagers loved the animation/entertainment staff. We especially enjoyed the Beach House restaurant/bar for breakfast and lunch. Getting the dining reservations was tricky through the app but customer service was a great help to get our dining reservations. Sometimes getting fresh towels in the room could be inconsistent however housekeeping kept our rooms clean everyday. We hope our family can return again someday!

Food was trash other than that i have no complaints

The property was fine. The reservation process for the restaurants never worked correctly, and the service at the main market buffet was always behind and couldn't accommodate timely service. Room service was also difficult to get. Although it was repeatedly requested, it was never accomplished. i went without towels for a day before I took them from a service cart.

The staff was amazing and always tried to make you feel at home. Unfortunately the rooms were a bit outdated and smell from the humidity I assume. The pool areas were quite nice, although there was only one with a wet bar. The bartenders were amazing starting with Enrique who was always running around making sure everyone was having a good time.

We had an amazing stay! The room was beautiful and clean. The beach is a gem! Really wide and beautiful, white sand and turquoise clear water. Yes, there were some seaweed washed out, but not much and every morning it was cleaned. The food was good, but not excellent. So as service in the buffet. But overall we had a great vacation and would be happy to come back!

Food was mediocre, not much of a variety. Entertainment was not lively. There was a thunderstorm storm and leaks made its way into the room & outside the room. Went 1 night without the air conditioning working

The room was decent. I wouldn’t say I was impressed. For a place that says it was renovated it felt used. Our lamp was broken, there was mold in the shower. The toilet seat was broken. There were stains on most of the furniture. We would leave tip for our housekeeper but she would not replenish the amenities consistently. Till I had to write a note that we needed more shampoo, conditioner, bath gel and water. I feel like that should be replenished regardless… the place was nice and had wild life roaming around. The activities were minimal and was not impressive. We did try archery, but the guy made us write reviews and was hovering over us to see if we’d write one. He was nice but that was very off putting. And we only got to shoot like 4 arrows… The food and drinks were not impressive, felt like they just had the same thing over and over. Rice beans overcooked meats and fruit. Only a few things were worth eating everyday. Like the fresh cooked seafood on the grill. The restaurants were not impressive, basically could get the same food at the buffet. The bars were inconsistent. We would try to get a drink called Passion Tropical but each bar made it different and we only enjoyed it from the beach house rooftop. There was a coconut man that we had to hunt to down for a fresh coconut. Felt like most of the staff didn’t speak English much so we had to try our hardest in Spanish not a bad thing but sometimes hard to communicate for foreigners who’s Spanish isn’t so great.

The staff were very rude. It’s impossible to get them to do hardly anything. We couldn’t even get anything but water at the buffet and we barely got that. Getting the maids to come back and give you the towels they forgot to give you was impossible. I literally had to grab them myself from work one of the carts on my way to lunch. The room didn’t smell good at all. One of the restaurants we had a reservation at on the property somehow smelled worse we almost left because of the smell. This resort definitely tarnished my view of the DR.

Excellent staff, excellent facilities.

The hotel is beautiful and the service is amazing ! Staff was professional , friendly helpful- great. Only 2 things lowered the score(1) toilet seemed broken at first- but seem to work different than out toilets in New York. Had to set the handle back in place- not flush and go(2) we were on the first floor- great access to food and pools- but had a big rainstorm one evening. Had water coming into the room. Since there was no drains and everything is flat

Place was stunning, super beautiful the staf was super friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, spacious and the decoration was gorgeous. Only thing we didn’t like was the food there isn’t a lot of option because restaurants are always booked and the buffet over crowds other than that it was an great time.

Loved the rooms, we had our boys with us and had our own room, with privacy.

One of the best resorts we’ve visited. The restaurants, the daily activities, the entertainment crew. Everything was beautiful. Only issue was our room’s toilet, one had a broken cover and one kept flooding. They fixed the toilet cover but it broke right after. Loved the pools, love that they had multiple pools which helps with keeping it from over crowding.

It was a great experience for us all
