Leann at the check in desk was especially helpful.

The first night was horrible but was a complete opposite of the rest of our 5 night stay. The staff did their best with a very rowdy neighbour and made things right by moving us to another better and quiet room. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. The beds and pillows are comfortable and clean. The window coverings are light diffusing blinds as well as room darkening blinds but no curtains so you do have light coming in on the sides. Breakfast is good with omelettes, bacon, sausage, a pancake making machine and different breads to choose from. Side note( a potato product would be nice) The staff is wonderful. Their friendliness and kindness is what makes the hotel's rating go up. They are very attentive to the breakfast area making sure it is always stocked well. The front desk staff is always ready to help with anything you need and very friendly. Truthfully we were ready to leave when we first saw and smelled our room but they made it all better and then some, when they saw something was terribly wrong. Thanks for a great stay. If we come back to Saint John we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

When checked in, the receptionist showed no emotion, might be he's too tired or to busy. Bacon or sausage was not refilled when we had breakfast at about 8:45am. Others were good.

While the rooms and property itself are nice, the hallways have no air-conditioning and the ice machines are few and far between. You have up so too much walking. In addition there is a homelessness issue less than a kilometer from the hotel making safety an issue for some. Not me personally but for others i was with who aren't large men so too say.

Clean, comfortable with friendly, helpful staff. Ample parking. Great breakfast with good variety. Located off major thoroughfare to access all areas of St. John.

Made our reservation 6 months ago. Our room was on the second floor - no elevator. The room was almost as far from the front desk as possible. In fairness we did not specify a room on first floor near the front entrance. We booked and paid 6 months ago - shouldn’t one expect a better location? If we had booked last week - no issue.

Just wasnt impressed by this hotel , my first room wouldnt unlock so they changed me , then that room wouldnt unlock ,got new key went out came back key wouodnt work was told my cell phone deactivat3s card uh just bad

Staff was nice. But rooms dirty, hair around and under bed. Lots of dust. Ceiling filthy.Could barely see out windows. The outside room door had to be slammed to shut all the way. Neighborhood was sketchy. Breakfast was ok. The hotel deserves the 2 star rating, might be considered lower. The building BADLY needs an update.

This hotel is in a terrible location if you want to be close to uptown and the surroundings don’t make you feel safe.

We had a great stay for the 4 nights, the staff was awesome and responsive. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was simple but great just what we needed everyday.

Bad location. Pretty basic. Not very clean. But staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is pretty basic, gives the impression of not being v clean but is actually ok. Things look worn, bath chipped but nothing terrible. Rooms have microwave and fridge and ours had a ‘kitchen sink’ area. Parking is free and lots available. Breakfast was not good , v basic and not great quality

The room was clean and fine. That is where the good ends. Terrible customer service. They made an error in how they marked my account paid (after paying in full) At 11:15 PM a man from the front desk showed up at my door banging insisting I open. Stating I hadn’t paid. I showed the card charge in my bank account. He didn’t believe me and said I had be paid and couldn’t stay until paid. He left to call a manager. I asked if he was planning on coming back and he again said until I paid he would. Again I HAD already paid. Finally just before midnight I called front desk. Who said no they would not be bothering me again (shift change) As a woman staying alone this was traumatizing and completely unacceptable. Spoke with management who agreed it was their fault my payment was incorrectly posted. Too it all off upon check in I was 30 minutes in the extremely hot hall as the finished cleaning the unprepared room. Do not stay here!

Adequate for our needs. No complaints. Quiet. Didn[t take a shower as I am handicapped and tub is too high to go into shower area.

Booked a king size bed, got to location they didn't have the king size ready which is very unfortunate as we wanted the bigger bed. If we knew that we wouldn't have stayed here The fella at the front put us in a room right by a heavy door that we could hear from 3am to 10am every 5-20 minutes it was slamming so we didn't sleep the entire time. Furnace kept making a weird noise I don't understand how a room can be near a door that is so loud it just doesn't make sense. We paid $200 for this room that we couldn't even sleep in due to the door slamming shut. It just honestly is so brutal that they don't have that door as a soft closing door. We tried to call the front desk and all they said was sorry and nothing else it was very unfair to us to pay a full price for not even getting any sleep

Outdated building in shady neighborhood. I did not feel safe. Pool is big and kids liked it, hottub was hot but not working jets. Not worth the money

Took over 20 minutes to check in, service was horrible. Breakfast was a joke.

Was expecting a newer hotel based on photos and did not feel confident about the safety of the location. The lady (can't remember her name, think it started with an L) at the front desk was so helpful and kind, she also did a fabulous job of keeping the breakfast zone tidy and well stocked.

I liked the staff. The overall condition was a little run down.

It prity sad when staying for 7 days and the sheets were only changed once ( the day before we left). Also we had to say something about getting towels and floor swept and mopped.the breakfast was nice nice variety. Be carful when going up and down the entrance steps the are unmarked and my elderly mother fell down the stairs. There a lot of homeless in the area that was annoying druring the day, but at night it was a little scary so I refused to smoke in those areas I would smoke in the courtyard which is none smoking. But the staff is excellent. I would only go back there because of the staff. Also it is very out of the way if you don’t have a car.

Not a bad hotel, but not a great one. The key scanner for the pool was hard to get your key properly scanned to get into the pool. The jets in the hot tub also didn't work. The breakfast was really good and the staff was very friendly. Overall a good place for the price, just don't expect more than an average hotel.
