The location was fantastic. The staff could not be more helpful or friendly. The hotel was very clean and everything worked like a charm. Great, no frills Hotel but I think a little expensive for what you get. We booked a suite (king) and it was tiny and barely would qualify as a suite by most standards.

The location is perfect

Room was small, but very comfortable, and had everything we needed. Centrally located, which was the reason we chose it, it exceeded expectations. We are thinking of coming back around Christmas, booking a room with a balcony over looking Rockefeller Center so we can see the tree from above the crowds!

Very poor lobby configuration made check-in awkward and congested. Someone moved my bags without permission as well. No reception area, restaurant, bar, etc. whatsoever for guests to wait or have seating space outside of the room. Found a hair on my desk. Clean otherwise and free upgrade. However, the upgraded room did not fit with type of layout I needed and originally booked. Staff would not help with the one simple logistical request I made during the stay that any standard hotel would accommodate. Zero food available on the property.

Best spot in midtown.

Didn’t like the double sliding doors converging into each other for the bathroom. Doesn't provide a lot of privacy for one using the bathroom Room is for 3 adults yet the pull out bed for 3rd person is quite narrow and not of best comfort. Loved the water filling stations. Sad i left my brand new water bottle in the room refrigerator

Really great location. The upgraded us to a suite so that’s always great. We also enjoyed the free water and the cappuccino machine.

Very nice boutique style hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good location for walk ability to attractions. Loved that it was so close to Saint Patrick's Cathedral and Times Square.

All the staffs are friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean. Last minute stay have descent prices. But it would be nice that if we book a room through a third party we should get a free night stay.

The location is excellent. The air conditioning was not working and with high temps. and high humidity it was very hard to sleep. They were sorry......but our whole time there they couldn't get it working in our room.

Our appreciation and many compliments to NYC The Jewel Hotel Front Desk Agent, Erick. I made a reservation as a special gift to my granddaughter. There was confusion with hotels.com reservation, the hotel offer for upgrade and with a use of my credit card. I was on a phone for a very long time with Hotels.com and they still could not resolve a confusion. I decided to call directly to the hotel, The Jewel in NYC. Front Desk Agent, Erick, was exceptionally helpful and competent. He understood a problem right away, found a way to resolve it quickly, gave me a peace of mind that they will take care of my granddaughter, and made sure that her check-in, her stay and check-out were easy, quick and enjoyable. Truly great, exceptional service from Erick. Greatly appreciate it and hope The Jewel Hotel management recognize Erick’s customer service focus and his contribution to their business. Overall, based on our experience The Jewel Hotel is a great place to stay in Manhattan.

Wonderful stay. We have stayed here twice and both times it has been excellent. The staff is extremely accomodating and the rooms are spectacular. You really can’t beat the location. Staff members really went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable! Great prices, as well!

The name “Jewel” says it all. A large, comfortable room by NY standards with a complete kitchen. The staff was a helpful and friendly. And…a great location.

The staff at the Jewel are better than top notch! Our flight home was delayed and eventually canceled due to weather! Everyone at the front desk went above and beyond to help get us re booked for the extra nights and stay in the same room! The free laundry room on site was a life saver since we ran out of clean clothes because the extended stay! The Jewel will continue to be our Manhatten second home!

Great location right across the street from Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall. Time square is a ten minute walk. Museum of Modern Art is two blocks away. Easy walk to Broadway Shows, subway station and 5th ave/Madison ave shopping. Great pizza two door down, Walgreens right up the street. Helpful front desk staff who were happy to provide directions and subway routes to local activities. Very quiet street. I would definitely stay at the Jewel again.
