Liked proximity to tourist spots and security

Roaches, flabby pillows, and late with towels.

Very comfortable and reasonable hotel right in the center of Santo Domingo and close to everything. Lovely to sit out on the balcony and watch the world go by.

the air conditioning was leaking water on me all night it was sitting right over the head of the bed other than that i alwys stay there on my visits

At checkin room wasnt cleaned 1 room air

All is aceptable condition to me

HORRIBLE, the room that i booked, they give me different, my working closet is more bigger than the room, with a little bed for 10 yrs babies, they charge me extra to get the trim that booked i did pay it cause i was tired it was late night, i booked with breakfast for 2, when i got to the lady who were serving she stated my name is not on her list i better contact receptionist,when i got there to ask him he started screaming on me, said I never booked with breakfast i asking even I never book please more respect for your guests talk with me with more respect, cause i am here not for free and you made me pay an upgrade that i never planed to and now you are screaming on me for no reason cause i am asking you for something, and i requested to speak with his superior he stated: I am the superior here. I just got up packed my stuff and check in an another hotel paying the same amount but with a big bed big room, and staff good with me. Guys DO NOT STAY at Discovery Hotel with the receptionist at day time your staying will be miserable and more than a nightmare, cause he has no respect for BLACK people HE his A RACIST and ignorant he shouldn't work at the reception. He should work there neither, In front of me there was another couple he treated them like gods, so Yah saben los morenos como yo mejor mis gentes buscan otros HOTEL no se quedan allí ni loco!

Missed my flight so came back to stay another night using my reward night earned for staying here for 7 days. Left property maybe 3 hours ago to find out my room was already occupied and the only rooms available either has no TV or no refrigerator. Basically not as described. The front desk agent eventually upgraded me to a bigger room but there was no refrigerator and the TV was not connected to the internet service for smart tv programming like the room I had for 7 days, so I had a differentiated experience. Very inexpensive hotel and centrally located within the city but they need to establish consistency. I am not sure if because I used a reward night as to why I was being treated indifferently upon my return or if they can see such details but I definitely felt slighted.

Awful experience. Paid for three nights and because I showed up at 4 am they sold my room to another guest. Transferred me to a “sister hotel” at 5 am, felt like I was about to be robbed. The transferred hotel was horrendous. No pool, just awful and dirty.

The men on the reception it was very racist with my boyfriend and me because we are Dominicans, when I asked him to a room service, he answer very bad to me and disrespectful

The check in was fine but I think you get what you pay for. The rooms were not that big, at least the double bed room I had. The bathroom was small. The rug was filthy and had a horrible smell. The bed was beyond uncomfortable. The mattress felt so cheap. I did not complain as I only slept there for a couple of hours but I could not possibly see staying there for a full day or more. Again, you get what you pay for as the rooms are inexpensive.

Cheap option if you are staying in The colonial zone, but beware, the facilities and not kept up with. Shower tan cold water in 3 rooms we rented. Toilet didn’t flush in one room, we had to literally stick our hand in the tank and grab the chain the flush the toilet. They have a small parking lot, but staff was very inattentive opening the gate. My husband had the run into the front desk and ask them to open it every time (they had no camera outside the gate?!) even then, it took them five minutes to push a button to open the gate. This happened on multiple occasions. The hotel itself is in a good location, but we wouldn’t stay there again.

The room was very small. Just enough space for the bed and a small desk. However, it had a wonderful street facing and covered balcony, a clean bathroom, and a great rooftop to hang out at. Friendly and helpful staff.

Made a booking of 5 rooms for a medical team by Expedia - confirmed they had it 4 days before . Showed up - they acknowledged we had pre-paid for 5 two twin rooms and had a reservation but no rooms were held - had a 30 minute “ Odyssey of Discovery” - multiple presented rooms showed and several rejected- only got two twin rooms - some heavily smelled of smoke or had no AC which we rejected- “ no one smokes” - no we are a medical team! Or my favorite- “you must all have AC? You are not OK with a fan?” And finally by standing our ground - we did get rooms which meet our needs - but the whole team had to climb numerous steps up and down from floor two to three to four then back down to two and then up again to three shlepping our luggage then we were made to wait longer to go back down to get keys, towels, toilet paper. Too bad for this hotel - we come every three months - we were looking for a new regular hotel- we are not coming back. Trip Director

1-Rooms' doors locks have problems most of the time. I had to call for assistance many times. They reprogrammed the card keys, reset the batteries, and they may close once the next time won't. There was one night that one of our friends came late and they noticed that our door was unlocked. The toilet was a nightmare to get filled up, over 20 minutes to complete the process. We rented 3 rooms, and all of them had the same problem. In the amenities, they offered a refrigerator that none of the rooms we rented has, something occurred with the safeboxes, some of the rooms don't have safeboxes. The parking besides that it was too small, has a huge sliding door that has to be manually opened in a very congested street, to difficult to open and close. Lastly, the swimming pool is too small, it looks more like a jacuzzi than a swimming pool and was DIRTY,

There were exposed pipes leaking in front of my room as well as I needed some fresh towels and I wasn't given any even after multiple requests.
