We were driving from Bretagne to Northern Italy and we needed a midway rest; Clermont-Ferrand was an option, the hotel is a good solution, nice position on a main square, parking very close and a very good bistro in the front. Nice people.

Great place if it were not for the elevator system.

This hotel is NOT reachable by car--the closest parking, which you only find out at the front desk while your car is illegally parked a 5-minute walk away, is across the street and in an underground garage about 200 yards away. Not terrible if you are youthful and travel light, but not convenient if you are older and have baggage. (Also, my GPS told me to turn left and drive up the sidewalk lined with pedestrians and cafes. Not advisable.)
Also, those sidewalk cafes below your window that line the street below are attractive in the afternoon, but noisy and smoky all night long. The air conditioning did not work and opening the window for ventilation was out due to the noise and crowds below. The room was nice and shower was great. Prepare to pay for breakfast. All in all, I would not recommend.

The hotel was nice, however a fridge in the room would have been nice 😊
Also the directions given for the parking were terrible, the addres/name given to enter into GPS only took you to the exit of the parking garage.

The room was nice and I loved the balcony and having the restaurant downstairs but Expedia said that this property has parking and that is the only thing I really needed. There is no parking and no way to pull up with baggage. I had to park 5 minute walk away and drag my luggage because the parking garage close by and all the parking spots were full. There is an elevator but only in-between floors not on the floors themselves so you always have to walk up stairs with your luggage. The cleanliness wasn't super but good enough. There was still hair from the previous occupant on the floor and the tile had some sort of growth in the shower. But I guess for France it is ok.

Very central property, on one of the main squares in town. The hotel also have a cafe, but our room was on the 4th floor and very quiet.
Room was comfortable, refurbished recently, clean and spacious.
Staff were very courteous.
Plenty of choices for food around.

Very nice property, the service is Ok. The room size was good, comfortable bed, the best is the window and view of square. The bathroom is clean and modern. Overall, then property is simple, nice and pleasant, almost like a loft style. The restaurant is right downstair, facing the beautiful square. We had a short and pleasant stay. Will stay again if ever visiting this city again.

The air conditioning was not working in room so it was 27 degrees, gave us fan made little difference . Check in wad with a waiter so no information about stay . Booked 3 nights left after one night

We had a wonderful stay. Had two unique rooms. Clean and comfortable and at a great price. Rooms were quiet. Great location, walking distance to shops and cafe. Town train is in front of hotel/cafe but operates quietly and conveniently. Would stay there again.

The hotel is centrally located and the rooms offer a beautiful view of the square. Although the building and the staircase are rather old, the rooms are absolutely well maintained and modernly furnished.
The biggest flaw I think is the inconvenience: in addition to the lift that stops every half floor, the hotel is in an area not accessible by car and also not well marked. The best solution is to park on the other side of the square before arriving, it would be enough for the hotel to send a suggestion in this regard, but instead I had to go around the centre (all one way) twice and it was a big loss of time after a long trip

Beautifully located in the central place de la Jaude, features a lively and cool bar/restaurant and functional comfortable rooms. Stayed only one night while transfering to another city. Warning! no easy free parking around.

Positive points: The hotel is in a good location and has a great restaurant, with good lunch and dinner options. The bed is comfortable and with good sheets.
Negative points: There are no elevators directly to the floors, you will always have to go up some stairs. I had two heavy suitcases and no help was offered; The room was extremely cold, there was only a small air conditioner that could not heat the room. The toilet was in a separate area and extremely cold (really uncomfortable to use); about the breakfast included, they had few options, repeated every day. Would rate it 2 out of 5.

Good, except that this hotel is located in a major pedestrian area and is only accessible on foot. The closest parking is a public parking named Vercingetorix

We loved the friendly atmosphere in this hotel. The rooms are stylish and comfortable. Without a doubt we will return to this hotel next time we are in Clermont-Ferrand.

Excellent position and very stylish with quirky decor, particularly lights. Perhaps a bit style over function, the usual problem in hotels, no drawers for small items, socks, pants etc. I left a purse behind and they posted it on to me, very helpful.

The hotel in in a beautiful square but sadly the square is not used to any advantage. A tram runs in fort of the hotel and there is not direct access to the hotel except on foot. The public car park is easily missed on a one way system. No mention of where to park was given. On the plus side we found a lovely bistro down one of the side roads which features in the Michelin guide.The staff were helpful and returned left property .
