Great space, plenty of room, fully stocked kitchen & easy walk to the beach. Would definitely return.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. We had plenty of space to park as well. It a block away from the beach, and walking distance to many restaurants. It’s a very safe area and we were able to walk around at night too. The room was very clean and well as the other areas. They have a pool and seats to hang out. Building is a bit aged, but that’s due to the area. I will be back for sure!

This was a great place to stay--very convenient, steps to the beach, super friendly staff, very helpful.

The manager was nice and very accomodating. But, the hotel is very run down and dirty. The room had pealing paint ,black mold in the bathroom and some of the lights didn't work. The one positive thing would be its proximity to the beach for the price.

The location of the property was wonderful. The staff was great. The property itself was in need of some help. Painting, tile repair, and general upkeep was needed.

This was my second time staying at Coral Reef and it was another great experience. Staff was great, facilities are great, the island of key Biscayne is very walkable and the beach is only a 5 min walk away.

Nice little hotel... used to be an apartment (I think there are still many residents that still live there and only a few units are now being used at "hotel rooms"). This is totally fine for us. That means the swimming pool and property is not booming with tourist and the property is well kept and clean. Roberto (the manager / owner) was super nice and accommodating with everything we needed from beach towels to hotel needs. It is close to the beach with just a short walk to a private entrance to the beach and you can easily walk to the restaurants and the park.

I’m not sure how this hotel has the rating it has to begin with. It’s awful in general and you can feel the springs individually in the mattress. The couch is not a couch. It’s a worn out futon, extremely uncomfortable. The TV would not turn off no matter what we did, it was just overall in not great condition and check in process was a little weird not enough details in the description provided to describe just how unprofessional it is. Definitely will be coming again.

False advertisement : pictures do not reflect the reality off the unit we stayed.Minimal furniture and very old, no microwave, very old unit. Ants also was an issue.

Like : nice & helpful staff (Roberto) Dislike : old apartment with black mold behind bathroom door, in bathtub, standing shower, moldy smell every where. Should have inspection yearly to remove all mold

The A/C did not work. Upstairs where the bed is located was over 80 Fahrenheit. Asked if we could switch rooms the next morning and they said they would turn off the A/C and let it defrost. They never apologized or offered to switch our room. We ended up leaving and booking a room in another hotel. We were never offered a new room or a refund for our second night. Stay away from this place.

Given the very limited options in Key Biscayne, this is a decent choice for budget minded folks. I was nervous reading some of the reviews, but I found the property clean, outlets worked and the AC was excellent. It is definitely an older property that could use some updates, but the staff was friendly and responsive once we arrived. It's not the Ritz Carlton, but if you want an inexpensive stay with beach access, this works well!

Great little space it was comfortable and quiet . The place was very nice kept, but it had a smell like somebody cooked, that wasn’t a big deal for us but it’ll be nice they get rid of that kitchen smell . Although they say is a private beach I saw a lot of people going in without key. I thought the beach would feel more exclusive but it felt more like a public beach. It was packed and no umbrellas available , bring your own . The person the greeted us the first day was really nice 😊 but the person that you have to call if you need anything outside office hours (Alexandra) is very rude and doesn’t help at all, plus she has a bad attitude. we’re supposed to call her to check out, well she never answered. The place is convenient there are a lot of restaurants at a walking distance and is feels safe to walk around.

Upon arrival, we were immediately struck by confusion. There was no clear signage indicating that we had arrived at our destination—quite unsettling when you expect the welcoming banner of a reputable establishment. We were left second-guessing whether we'd made the correct entrance. We barely stifled our disbelief as we reluctantly ventured into the lobby. There, professionalism and cleanliness seemed to lack any sort of priority. The aroma that greeted us was a mix of stale air and an undefinable, offensive odor. The feeling of neglect was inescapable, and things only spiraled downward from there. The elevator's interior was appalling, bearing marks of long-neglected maintenance. A sense of disgust crept over us, and trepidation grew at what awaited us in our supposedly curated room. Nothing could have prepared us for the sight that met our eyes as we opened our room door. Instead of a spruced-up and welcoming space as advertised, we were slammed with a stench that could only be described as a fusion of decay and neglect. The room was a far cry from the beautiful pictures we'd seen on Expedia. From the filthy carpets to the dingy bedding, it seemed as though no effort had been made to clean or upkeep the room for decades. We noted broken tiles, stains, and a general lack of hygiene that was nothing short of shocking. Nothing like the pictures! The worst experience I ever had! To those considering a stay here, I implore you—look elsewhere.

Wast of time and money don't worth the price

They had ppl living there is was like condo style the lock an the front door was veey flimsy you couldn't get in contact with anyone the front desk was closed at 830 although they claimed it was open till 1130pm there was hair from rhe previous person. They wasn't cleaning or straighten up your room claiming because of covid it had a old smell in the room in all it was a very old and derelict look place rules it's an excuse the y

Very spacious and great location

Pool is nice but not heated. Gets you back in your body. Very nice staff. Rooms are a bit dated and could use an update but very good value for money!

Property had no record of the reservation. It took me 4 hours and 3 phone calls to expedia to get it sorted out. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Nice and spacious. Air conditioning not too effective on upper level. Very strong smell in the unit despite appearing clean. Awesome 5 minute walk to beach.

Poorly maintained, dirty looking, uncomfortable, unattractive, inadequately equipped with essentials (for example, no soap in bathroom). Minimal water pressure in bathroom sink. Took literally 20 minutes for shower water to get warm. TV remote didn’t work. Kitchen minimally equipped. Don’t stay here if you can avoid it; there is a reason that the rates are low here.

Great place, so close to beach and dining. Wish there was hand soap and better water pressure in bathroom.

The private beach area was my favorite part of the property. The staff was really nice and Roberto was a very good host.
