Very well kept. Excellent staff. The restaurant nearby has weekend music if you’re sensitive to noise.

Pleasant and very helpful staff

This is a beautiful property. We stayed here on our first night in Guatemala and 10 days later for our last night. The first room was adequate and had a non-chain hotel vibe. Very secure. Staff was helpful and forgiving of our minimal Spanish. The second room we stayed in upon returning to Guatemala City was awesome.

I stayed here because my dad was in the hospital at Centro Medico, and the hotel is an easy 1/2 km walk to the hospital (though I wouldn’t walk it at night-I used Uber to get back). There’s a lot to like about the hotel: super clean with comfortable rooms, and very quiet. So why not give it 5 stars? There is no easy way to prevent housekeeping from making up your room and changing the towels, and no Do Not Disturb sign. It’s a waste. Twice the housekeeper left my ground floor window wide open when I had left it closed.

One of the cleanest hotels in Latin America. Great breakfast. If youre looking for a boutique stay not provided by absent investors or large foriegn chain, then Hotel Ciudad Vieja is your best option.

This hotel is in a very quiet and safe area, and is overall very clean and convenient. The rooms are simple but the interior has a nice garden feel.

This is a truly Guatemalan hotel, everything is built around a courtyard garden. The rooms are good sized, the beds are comfortable, everything is clean, the staff is always helpful.

This is my 4th time staying here, it’s my go to place in the capital city.

The room was small and no matter how we tried we could not get a hot or even warm shower. It’s a quiet hotel though with nice indoor outdoor spaces. The hotel was secure and near excellent dining options

I was in the city for a medical treatment, the staff was excellent. When I couldn’t find a store to add data to my phone a young man walked with me straight to the store.

Comfortable, clean, and centrally located. The staff is very courteous and accommodating. There are many restaurants immediately surrounding the hotel and many others within walking distance. Will book this hotel again on next trip.

My room was a bit small and dark but comfortable, and I enjoyed the shower. Lots of hot water and great water pressure. It was close to the museums I wanted to visit, and I loved the nearby Dixie Donuts.

This hotel is a gem in the city, they put many plants in the center, so you like stay in a rain forest. The staff are all polite and the service is good, especially the receptionist help me out for me booking issue.

Checking was good, bed was really hard, to much noise by workers at 630 am hammering and drilling....

This was the third time I stayed there. It’s conveniently located near the airport. Very friendly staff. They make you feel like you’re home. The breakfast was so yummy and it was free. Whenever I travel to Guatemala I make sure to book a room at this lovely property.

everything was great, the only reason i nor my wife were unable to get good night sleep because but the beds were extremely hard.

When staying in Guatemala City, I always choose Hotel Ciudad Vieja. It's extremely clean, the staff is super friendly, and the restaurant offers delicious meals. The ambiance is peaceful, I feel secure here, and the location is convenient to the airport (just a quick/inexpensive cab or Uber ride away), embassies, and museums, and it is within walking distance of one of the best hospitals in Guatemala (good for visitors or for a stay prior to an early morning outpatient visit). They also have a nice conference facility. I highly recommend it!
