A short walk from the train station and close to the park, the location was ideal. The room was a little run down but everything was clean. The shared toilet was not as clean, but was ok, not that close to the room. The check in was easy - useful that you can arrive or leave at anytime. It is good value and practical overall. I didn't see any staff but everything went smoothly.

Room was conveniently located for Principality, and infact overlooked it. Self check in instructions were accurate. Room itself, the bed was comfy. However my biggest issue was not having any contact number to deal with an issue I had, namely no power to kettle, hairdryer or TV. If you do self check in then you need to provide contact details for any out of hours issues. Hence only providing 3 stars.

Excellent location, comfortable beds, plenty of pillows. I would have loved some seating area, but we were using the accommodations for sleep mostly, so we socialized outside of the rooms.

We were so happy with our accommodation. It was perfectly located within walking distance to the coach station and castle, as well as the main shopping precinct. Our family room was gigantic and massive value for money.

It's very reasonably priced and in a perfect central location. Central enough to walk around but not on the main street, so a quiet night sleep is guaranteed! Only downside is the slightly off smell of the carpets/exterior (a couple of plug in air freshners would make a huge difference!) will happily stay again!

Pros: good location, close to the station and easy to get to. Very clear check in instructions. Cheap price and decent cleanliness. Comes with tea making facilities. There’s heating in the room. Cons: small room, none of the sockets in my room worked (so couldn’t make tea even though a kettle was provided). Bad soundproofing - could hear upstairs watching something till well past midnight!

Room was as expected and bed comfortable but the window leaked onto the bed and the shower was mouldy.

Room was small, but it’s good for a single traveler.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t get through to the hotel at all after 5pm on the day prior and the day of my arrival. Both days the message said that they’re closed until tomorrow! I was arriving late evening after working a long shift and finishing at 11:30pm hoping to have an easy, worry free check in, however I needed some help as I couldn’t find any of my access codes and key codes to access my room, but to no avail from the hotel as there’s nobody to check you in it’s all self service! Eventually after an hour hotels.com managed to help me check in. When I did arrive my tv was not working, no signal at all no matter what I tried and had no tv the whole time I was there as there was nobody to contact to get assistance! Incredibly noisy with people entering at all hours through the loud and heavy doors with the constant sound of people inputting their key codes beeping throughout the night. I was on the bottom floor and couldn’t sleep a wink Clean rooms and bathroom, but unfortunately, I did not enjoy my stay as I was exhausted from lack of sleep, couldn’t not get in contact with anybody for help from the hotel at all and I had no tv :(

Very handy location & good facilities for a few days stay. Easy check in & room codes. Really comfy soft beds & good amount of space considering the reasonable price. The only negative was no parking (residential permit area), but theres plenty of parking within a short walking distance so recommend a bit of research before arrival. Restrictions on roadside parking are in force 8am - 10pm (accurate as of July 2023).

Check in was seamless (and fast) and so too was checkout. Room was clean, towels and toiletries including soap were provided. Town center, Bute Park and Cardiff Castle are just a short walk away and the view from thw front door is of principality stadium and a river. A very good stay overall.

Overall easy to access. Room was clean and tidy, beeding and towels were lovely, no soap was provided. We were told there was available street parking but it was resident permit holders only. We were staying in the top floor apartment. Upon opening the door it smelt like drains/sewers which seemed to coming from the shower. The kitchenette also smelt like curry - as if someone has just left. Overall - for a cheapish night it did the job and we all slept very well

Great central location, excellent value but check in code number and room number not received. Standing outside phoning the helpline to find out information is not great.

You get what you pay for. Paper thin walls so I could hear convos in every surrounding room. Music and noise from apartments sharing a wall. Don’t expect a good night sleep here. The check out is also too early. Nice they had a sink in the room as well as a heater for cold nights. Very basic self service accommodations. Unfortunately they can’t change the thin walls and cheap construction but I wanted to share so others know - as I look for reviews about sleep prospects by others.

The house was old with some damage. At 42 pounds per night, i have no complaints. It was very close to the castle and other things. Convenient and staff were professional and was welcoming when we left our luggages. Thanks

Not bad for its price

Comfy bed and an over all positive stay here. The tiles in the bathroom were cracked upon arrival and would move underfoot and had sharp edges in some places. The room was warm and accommodating though
