A hotel with a magnificent view over the Assisi. Maybe best views I have seen in any hotel.
The breakfast was good and gluten-free bread was available when asked. Location was great; everything in couple of minutes walking distance.

Everything was wonderful, from the staff, to my room, #38 with it's spectacular view, the Garden Terrace, the weather.
It was so good I extended it a day... peaceful, tranquil. Close to everything. Perfect.

What an amazing stay! The hotel has a beautiful outdoor garden and terrace with outstanding views of the city and valley where you start your day with breakfast that they bring to your table. We also enjoyed an evening aperitif and nighttime starlit moments on the terrace. Our room was very clean and had a private terrace. This hotel is a truly relaxing space and it is just steps away from the bus stop so you don’t have to drag your bags through town. Marco offers genuine hospitality and cared for our every need, even getting us a great table for a sunset dinner overlooking the Basilica of St. Francis. I can’t imagine a better hotel in town.

Amazing views from the large balcony across Assisi and the open countryside- absolutely stunning! Lovely breakfasts, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room. Bus to/from Assisi train station just next door, so convenient.

What a VIEW! we had room 26 with a cutely decorated balcony facing the valley with a gorgeous bell tower standing guard. it was so peaceful Three minutes easy walk into town with dining, shopping and sites to see. The owners made us feel like family. Everyone so happy and friendly. Fantastic breakfast. Rooms were very up to date and artistically decorated. Would love to go there again!

Beautiful hotel with great unique rooms. The staff members were lovely. The salty breakfast was great! Unfortunately we weren't able to see the beautiful views as we were there during quite the rain storm, but the hotel is perched on a hill over the valley so when there are no clouds I am sure the view is amazing.

This hotel is great! It has a great location, being one minute from the bus stop, and is situated on the hillside with a wonderful view. The staff are friendly, helpful, and kind and are enthusiastic in their service. I especially enjoyed the fried eggs for breakfast That are made to order. I chose a room with a balcony view. The view was a bit obstructed by the tree in the courtyard, but it was still nice to have the sun light coming in on cool autumn days. I highly recommend this hotel.

Welcoming family run hotel in the heart of hilltop of Assisi with sweeping views. Marco was welcoming with a suggestion of a charcuterie board after being very tired after 9 hour train ride. Lara has marvellously arranged day excursions. Lovely breakfast.

Incredible place to stay. Absolutely beautiful setting, and perfectly positioned to explore the town. The balcony outside our room had fantastic views, and we had everything we needed. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated and well maintained. The air conditioning kept us comfortable, and a small fridge was handy for keeping our bottles of drink cold. Breakfast on the terrace each morning was really lovely, and the views were amazing from the gardens. We were well looked after by our hosts and sad when it was time to leave. We had a fantastic stay and would thoroughly recommend.

Definitely the place to stay in Assisi. The staff is kind and was happy to help with any questions we had. The breakfast was very good and substantial. They also had a really nice garden/terrace where you could hang out and have a drink after a long day of walking around St. Francis's town. It was really pleasant out there. We also had a room with a balcony. Both had incredible views of the countryside.

The location could not be better. Adjacent to the storic town with parking. Wonderful location and the owners are very kind. Highly recommend if you are traveling by car or bike and want to be in the historic downtown area

The hotel is gorgeous! Beautiful view rooms and wonderful view breakfast area with the great BF served everyday. The balcony we had was separated just with a drape from the next room’s balcony and didn’t have the privacy, we could hear the couple talking in their balcony even from our room.
The area is very nice and quiet but thin walls.
I would stay there again and recommend it to others.
Just a kind reminder for the hotel staff. When you hand out two water bottles to your guest without them asking you! You should not charge them for it. If we want to use paid water, it’s in our minibar. .

Hotel Ideale is a charming place to stay. The accommodations are lovely and very clean. The view from our balcony is beautiful. The breakfasts were incredible. The staff takes care of your needs and is very friendly. This is a place we will go back to visit.

First and foremost Marco was great to work with, great personality and always ready to help and did! The views from this property are the best in Asissi!. Very pleasant atmosphere around entire property.While the breakfast was nice, I found it a bit beyhind the times when it said on the menu that refills on drinks were extra charge (really) I think at the prices of the stay here and extra charge for refills is not a good idea or very prudent.

Hotel Ideale is an awesome option for those visiting Assisi or the surrounding communities in the Perugia / Umbria area. It is located right beside the Assisi Link bus stop, and very close to the Assisi main square area. Easy to walk around Assisi. Service is great. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The view from their outside main / shared patio is astonishing. The service is great, breakfast is delicious, staff are super nice, and the internet connection is very reliable. I cannot wait to come back!

This was my second time staying at Hotel Ideale and it won't be my last! The location is great, the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, the owners are wonderful (kind, thoughtful and helpful), the breakfast is delicious, and the view is outstanding! It really is "ideale". This hotel is a gem. I HIGHLY recommend Hotel Ideale and won't hesitate to stay there again.

The view from our room and the hotel’s terrace of the valley was incredible. Truly a spectacular find. Breakfast was delicious and the room had plenty of space. Close enough to walk to all sites but far enough from touristy spots that it was quiet. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Hotel Ideale is a little gem of a place to stay in Assisi. It’s located on the Piazza Matteotti at one end of town and one of two bus stops for the bus from the train station. It’s a short walk down to the Piazza San Rufino and a little further to the piazza Communale. The breakfast is outstanding and views from the rooms and property grounds are beautiful. Delightful and helpful staff.
