Ydalir is a hidden gem in Stavanger in terms of the environment, cleanliness and its staff. Rooms are comfy and well-appointed. Breakfast is considered scrumptious by European standards. Though it is not situated in downtown, it is easily accessible by public transport.

Amazing place! New and modern in design. Tasty breakfast with nice variety, including chia pudding and pastry. Hotel was kind to provide spare toothbrush and paste as we forgot ours. Room was spacious for 3 of us (adults), they use 'Rituals' for soap and shower gel. Everything necessary was in the room with kitchen. Oven, appliances, dishwasher. Highly recommend this property!

Not in the middle of the city but if you have car then this location will work best for you. Free parking , decent break fast and close enough to the town

The hotel is beautiful and situated in a lovely place for walking. It was also possible to walk down to the fjord. Transport via bus was excellent from nearby the hotel into Stavanger centre which was good as there are not many dining or local shopping opportunities in the area. A shame the bar at the hotel only accepted card payments - no cash option.

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel visiting Stavanger; spacious, clean room, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast. Great hotel with free parking and EV charging station. Easy public transportation ( we used 1 day bus pass) for those who do not want to look for parking space around Stavanger. Everyone from staff was supportive and very pleasant. Definitely we'd recommend this hotel for accommodation in Stavanger.

Family of 4 stay for 4 nights in the apartment at the hotel.
Clean, spacious and with an excellent view.
Nice breakfast, free parking, and a very friendly and helpful staff.
We will definitely stay at this hotel again if we are in that area again.

Cleanliness location beds and pillows excellent. I booked this with the understanding that a gym was availabe which it was not the case. Not only was the gym off site but I had to pay 110 krona. I dont know whether this is Expedias fault or the hotel. No where on Expedia did say off sight nor that there was a fee. I book according to my needs and this was very unual as there was no indication of this situation

Tobias greeted us with a warm and friendly welcome and allowed us to check in early as our room was ready. The room was big and spacious and the bed was super comfy, amazing big pillows. Everything was clean and the breakfast was lovely. Parking was free and loads of spaces nearby. The chrome cast on the TV was an added bonus. Overall a great hotel run by the uni with warm and welcoming staff.

Really a fantastic 4 stars hotel in a peaceful place not far from city. We got a nice 1st class room at 5th floor with a wonderful view through a big floor to ceiling window. Super bed and sofa + chairs with a high sofa table, which is nice, if you want to sit eating some fruit, drinking etc. Furthermore the breakfast was excellent (but no restaurant) Fast wifi and you can connect through cable too making it possible to work from there. Employees were very kind and helpful. Only one thing. They forgot to make the room after the first night out of four. But still I'll give them 5 stars out of 5! So try it!

Stayed 3 nights with my girlfriend and we couldn’t be happier!
It’s not the most central in Stavanger, still has a 10min drive to the center, but for sure that was not a problem at all!
Everyone there couldn’t be more helpful, nice and kind, that’s exactly the kind of people/service I expect to have when I go to an hotel, if they are busy with something still manage to look us in the eyes and say hi or bye (it only takes 2 seconds to do that).
The hotel was extremely new, the room and the bathroom were spacious and super clean and tidy. The bathroom had rituals shower gel and shampoo, what a touch!! Many other hotels should do the same, little things are also noticeable!
Just ate breakfast at the hotel, good variety and the quality on top!!
I recommend this hotel to everyone, extremely well impressed!
And to the hotel staff, thank you for your hospitality!!
