This is a hotel and I was very impressed. I stayed in a guest house last year and The Royal was far superior to that place and much cheaper.

my stay at the hotel was mixed. breakfast was 5star. everything you needed was available and delicious. my room was comfortable but had no shower, it was down the corridor. there was a horrible smell out of the wash basin and the toilet didn’t flush a lit of the time

lovely and clean, nice staff and very comfortable beds. would stay there again. Also very nice ample breakfast.

Mis sold room, sold as en-suite, had to walk across corridor to seperated bathroom. Not acceptable. Didn’t stay and found accommodation elsewhere

Traditional b and b with great breakfast. Comfortable bed and everything you would expect. Very convenient location and our bikes were securely looked after. Friendly staff. Decor is quite dated but spotlessly clean.

2 night stay. Would have preferred shower as bath too high and shower fitting over bath far to high. WiFi did not work. Breakfast very good set us up for the day

booked this on a whim and was pleased with my stay over. warm friendly staff, clean comfortable room and great choice of food for breakfast.

Nice enough hotel, old fashioned but comfortable, clean and good value for money. Great location near seafront. Breakfast was a little disappointing - slow service (30 mins to serve meal) and very varied quality - some lovely bits but one of our sausages was horrid and gristly, and a piece of bacon that had clearly been sat in oil for ages. I think they were just overstretched - they said as much - but still a little disappointing. On a quieter day I'm sure it would have been very good. Wouldn't be my first choice to return but nice enough.

Great place ideally situated for the town and beach, People were very friendly and welcoming breakfast was excellent.

Good and comfortable but my room was overlooked so had to keep curtains closed most of the time. Room was very warm due to sun and window opened only a small amount so not much fresh air. Despite above great location, great breakfast and lovely host.

The hotel was very nice, exceptionally clean, food was good, location was good, the only thing that let it down was the bed was small

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel the breakfast and service was excellent, room had everything lovely and clean . The only down side was I had difficulty parking so I parked car popped inside the hotel to find if there was any room for my car , unfortunately when I came out side I had been given a parking ticket but hey ho I should have kept driving round for a couple of hours until I got a parking space 😂😂

Went to a function at the Spa very close by a short walk. Nice room comfortable and clean. Parking out the front. No issues good breakfast and service in the mornings

Had a lovely stay at the Royal. Breakfast was excellent. The staff make sure you have enough. More toast coffee tea nothing to much trouble. Tim was also very helpful with all our needs. Overall a lovely stay.

Disappointing very basic. Expensive for the area, broken shower, and late night door slamming. No royals have stayed there in a while.

A very nice and clean hotel. The manger was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The location was very close to the beach. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and good quality. We will definitely stay here again.

Had a lovely stay great location great breakfast could do with a little tlc ie damage to bath pannel and a larger television in room 11 but great views from the window x

Very nice . Great position

The hotel is well appointed and in a fantastic location. The room was as expected from a seaside b and b. Unfortunately we were met by a gentleman who had no warmth and appeared confrontational. So we decided not to stay for breakfast.

Lovely clean room, comfy bed & fab breakfast, staff very pleasant & helpful, close to amenities.
