Cool, unique place. Great location in Ljubljana. Took us 13 minutes to walk from our room door and up the hill to the castle lookout. Lots of restaurants and cafes around. Great spot.

This place is amazing!! This is where you should stay if you’re coming here. It’s in the best part of the city which doesn’t allow cars: so, figure out which parking lot you wanna go to. (I found one for €21 a night). The walk is a few minutes, but easy. The absences it car makes the place that much better; you will not be diasapoinred.

Fantastic large apartment with a big bed in the middle of the old town, but yet super quiet at night. Friendly helpful staff and very clean apartment!

This was a nice place...clean and large. The location was perfect for walking to sites and restaurants.

Superb location and fun lodging. Great service and ample space. Only downsides were quick exhaustion of hot water and poor view from 1st floor rear rooms.

I could not have been happier with my stay at Barbo Palace in Ljubljana. The location was within walking distance of everything you wanted to see and it was so nice being within the pedestrian area of the old town. Check in and check out was a breeze. It was a nice surprise that they do have an elevator so that stairs aren't necessary, especially if you have a room on a higher floor. The hotel was clean and were very helpful with providing recommendations for the area and things like extra towels when requested. I would stay there again.

What a fantastic place to stay. Centrally located within the historic pedestrian zone in Ljubljana and providing easy walking access to all places of interest. We had an apartment within this historic palace with a very comfortable bed and separate basic cooking/lounge/eating area if required. The reception staff recommended great places to eat and visit. It was also very close to French Revolution Square which is a main pick up point for various tours. Would highly recommend for your visit.

We really enjoyed our stay. They biulding is old, so at night you can definitely hear others, but this didnt really bother us. Otherwise the location is great and the rooms beautiful.

Beautiful room in very close proximity to the heart of town. Good food and cafes in all directions. Very central location but also secluded, not noisy at all. Would highly recommend for a stay in Slovenia, staff is also super friendly. Would highly recommend!

My partner and a friend of ours visited for a few days and had an amazing time. The apartment was perfect and the staff were helpful and friendly. The place was completely clean, very comfortable, and overall beautiful. The location was also superb, with everything nearby. The only possible downside I could think of was the lift was quite slow 😆 But all in all, the place was amazing and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Ljubljana

Amazing experience and great hotel

The friendliness of the staff, the spaciousness of the room, the cleanliness and quiet environment were all very good. It's centrally located and very convenient. It was a wonderful stay.

Visited for a wedding down the street in mid December. The woman at the front desk was very kind and helpful checking us in. Rooms are in the courtyard of a lovely old building. We had a room facing the castle on the top floor. Cozy two room apartment which was perfect for our stay. When we checked out, we left our bags with the man working the front desk while we walked through the Christmas markets one last time. He was funny and nice and encouraged us to stay longer. We will be back. Overall a great place to stay for the cost in the center of Ljubljana.

Right in the heart of Ljubljana and a walk from the train station. The Staff met us at the front and gave us a great rundown of recommended places within the city. The room was clean and airy and we enjoyed our time!

Our second visit to Barbo Palace, in fact we declined the hotel that came with our tour package to stay here instead. Just such a lovely place to stay, beautiful, spacious, and right in the heart of the city. Thoroughly recommended.
