Suites de la Parra is an exceptional place to stay if you want to visit Oaxaca. The rooms were all very clean and spacious. The staff was very courteous and professional. Definitely recommend your stay!

Location was excellent. No elevator made it hard with my children. The included breakfast was at a different hotel location so we had to walk a few blocks away. No parking spaces so had to walk about 10mins with luggage and kids. Overall would recommend and keep the things listed in mind.

The hotel was centrally located within walking distance to many restaurants, attractions, coffee shops and banks. The staff was attentive, friendly and happy. The room was cleaned daily!

Hotel is very nice and beautifully designed. Staff is helpful and friendly. The only down side is the beds which feel like they have plastic covers on the mattresses, under nice bedding.

The main draw is being in the heart of downtown Oaxaca, steps from the Zocalo. The staff was very good. The breakfast lady is feisty, so be ready. She kind of yelled at my wife and is very short with her answers. Brought us stuff we didn't order, and said we did. Great stay overall...the 2 BR was huge and comfy. The view from the windows and balcony were of the lively street below, and the amazing Oaxaca mountains and skies(my favorite part)!

We stayed here for one night on our travels home from Oaxaca. The positives: good air conditioning, lots of space, great location, and a handy wet bar with a little refrigerator. The room for improvement: our toilet did not flush very well (we told them and I believe they will fix it), our water in the shower was a weak stream of water, and the bed was a little firm. But the bedding and towels were very nice!

Loved this property!! Amazing location, very walkable. Beautiful room and the rooftop with the views and pool were my favorite. Friendly staff. Felt safe. AC just in one of the bedrooms but it cooled down the other rooms ok. The water pressure in the shower isn’t the best but that’s pretty much everywhere there. No elevator but they help carry the bags. Had an amazing in room massage! The location is perfection. Right by the square and can walk everywhere!!

First - this is property is all about the exceptional staff especially the wonderful reception team who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. It is a property with a lot of stairs and no lift - so be prepared after a long day to then have a lot of stairs. Our room was clean and very spacious - much larger than expected with a living area and kitchenette but the beds are a bit hard and the bathroom had a musty smell. Close to the market and walkable to all of the older parts of Oaxaca - which is a fabulous city.

We picked this place based on the proximity to the zocalo/city center. The location is great, very central to everything. Our suite was not noisy at all, it was comfortable and clean. We had an issue with the toilet water tank and the staff was quick to respond to it. Staff was very, very friendly and helpful. The roof top pool was AWESOME (about 4' at the deepest part). The price is not cheap, it was actually one of the most expensive in the area but we did get a two bedroom suite with a small kitchen/dinning room. I highly recommend this place if you are coming with family.

We were really happy about our choice of Suites de la Parra. The location is excellent, and the suite provided us with the perfect amount of extra space while traveling with our adult son. I took my morning conference calls in the small kitchen/lounge area while the rest of my group slept. The roof top lounge for breakfast was super convenient for getting a good breakfast before our daily adventures. Internet was great! All of the staff was super helpful!

Our group of 5 stayed here for 5 nights and really enjoyed it. The location is very close to the zocalo so it is ideal if you like to be where the action is. It was safe to walk at night and there were lots of restaurants, shops etc. nearby. The rooftop patio was lovely and relaxing and the staff very friendly and helpful. We were in a room at the front of the building and it was a bit loud if you leave your windows open at night but our friends used the air conditioning in their room and they couldn't hear anything. The rooms were cleaned every day which was nice as well. The only thing that we found lacking was in the kitchen area there were no dishrags, tea towels or dish soap for cleaning up. The cleaners would do the dishes when they came around but it would have been nice to be able to do them ourselves. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

While the hotel was nice I was really disappointed with the airport transfer they organized, it was really over priced and the car seat I requested (specifying the size) was too small for my toddler and I never got a refund.

The property is located on a busy street but it was very quiet overall - our frustration with the hotel is that I specifically remember booking the 2bd/ 2 bath options and yet when the confirmation came back it came in Spanish and had changed the Superior Suite to the Jr Superior Suite - I missed that so when we showed up we did not have what I thought we booked - was this a hotel change or an Expedia change.? The room was clean , but the sheets were not Egyptian cotton and the towels were stiff and over worn (some were threadbare) The staff were helpful and very nice.

Great hotel, very central and the rooftop terrace with the heated pool was really great (my kids really enjoyed the pool for hours thanks to the warm water and weather)! Breakfast was really great and the room was large and well organized. Internet connection worked flawless for work. One minor thing, all windows in the room was blinded, so unfortunately no views or ways to look out the window.

Loved my stay, the staff was nice and helpful. Location was great, walking distance to zocalo and Mercado and very private, from the outside doesn’t look like a nice hotel but once you walk in everything looks pretty. Only downside was my shower pressure was weak, but the room was comfortable and clean. Also the food was good 👍

This property is in the middle of downtown. From the street you would not think it is nice, but actually is. All staff were friendly. Rooms were big and clean. A block from the Zocalo and all fine dining restaurants are 5-12 minute walk. There is no elevator, but they will help with luggage. Roof top pool. Restaurant is open 7-2 (we did not visit it).

Best part about this place is the location. There are several levels with our. Room on the third level. Staff was great with helping with luggage. It is loud due to sound carrying- you could hear footsteps, doors slamming and what sounded like refrigerater from upstairs kitchen, all day and all night. Toilet didn't work well but we were told just to take the top off and move a part inside - happened at least 2 every day. The mini-split made a constant noise but again, we're told there was nothing that could be done. We stayed in mid October so we could sleep with it off but sure what visitors do when it is hot! Not sure we would choose this location again.

This hotel is one block from the Zocalo. Museums and other attractions were walkable. My room was cleaned daily and towels were provided. There is a pool on the roof that I used and found to be quite nice. I did not use the restaurant. The two things I was disappointed about is the water pressure is very poor in the kitchen. Just a little more than a trickle coming from the sink. I reported it to the desk, they sent someone to look at it but it didn't improve. Another commenter mentioned this so I guess that is how it is. There was a coffee maker and a pack of coffee, but no cream or sugar incase you want to make coffee which would be nice since the restaurant opens late for breakfast. Most tours pick you up at 8 am. The other thing is I was expecting someway to actually cook my food in the kitchenette. There was no cooktop, just a microwave and no cooking utensils. I am vegan and selected this hotel because it advertised it had a kitchenette. The hotel should either provide what is usually in a kitchenette, or alert people ahead of time that there is only a microwave and no cooktop or cooking utensils.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were wonderful and the location is great. Very close to the Zocalo. The rooftop is a great amenity; it was a fun place to gather before going to dinner. Nice and roomy; we enjoyed having a kitchenette for morning coffee and to keep items in fridge. Our only complaint was that the water pressure varied greatly and was a problem at times. Don't know if it was a neighborhood problem or a hotel problem, but that was annoying. But still recommend the Suites.

I don’t even know where to start. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms and entire hotel was very clean and modern. The food at the hotel was delicious they have Traditional American and Oaxaca food so we enjoyed the variety. We had to stay at their other location which is the boutique one and I was not mad at all it was also so nice. The location was amazing. It was literally not even a block away from the zocalo. And it was nice because the zocalo is loud energetic and so beautiful but as soon as you walk in to the hotel it was quiet and peaceful. You will not regret staying here I promise. We were so sad to leave.

We stayed in Suites de la Parra for 3 nights. Travelling for our friends wedding. The suite was very clean and very comfortable in a great location. The service was great. They even helped us find our tour guide one morning where the guide was confused on where to pick us up due to the streets being closed in the center because of Dia de los muertos. Thank you for a great few days.

This hotel is very conveniently located in Centro within walking distance of nearby attractions. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant at the top of the hotel also has fabulous food.
