The property was beautiful and the help was amazing. The food areas are a hit and miss.

Great family friendly resort. Rooms were very clean and well kept. The pools were also kept clean and it was not too crowded when we went in August. The swim up bar service was speedy and friendly. The restaurant by the pool, Celsius, was the best restaurant on the family side of the resort. The other restaurants were not good and the food was bland and flavorless.

Family friendly. Kids loved the ice cream parlor. Pools were great. The Waterpark was the best attraction for kids. Quality of food on the family side of resort was just ok. Was not impressed with the food.

Pros: The hotel was clean , room updated , clean with good AC . Staff nice and helpful . Beautiful beach access . Plenty of pool space with some rooms direct balcony access directly in the pool . The family section has a water park for kids . When you book make sure you chose the right package - adults only or family - it is not clearly specified in the Expedia listing - However, the cons are : buffet food hit or miss - usually dinner pretty limited and not great tasting . Breakfast and lunch decent . Absolutely impossible to book other restaurants for larger than 4 people until after 930 PM . At check in they are trying to sell “ concierge “ service to assist with booking restaurant reservations and other small perks but definitely not worth the price . Is almost like they are intentionally make it so difficult to book on your own so they can force you into getting concierge package . The entertainment in the adult side VERY limited . One bar with karaoke and that’s about it . One night they had a “ Mexican celebration “ event with good food and entertainment but otherwise pretty boring at night .

Grounds are beautiful. Staff is friendly and eager to help. Could be cleaner. Food quality at restaurants sub par. Buffet was better.

Overall my family had a good time. There were too many limitations. Lots of restaurants were adult only and difficult to get a reservation for. Lots of areas where you need to be exclusive members to go into. I saw a cockroach crawling near food at the buffet, as well as flies on the food. I wish there were more indoor options for kids to get a break from the heat. There needs to be more options to grab quick and healthy snacks for kids not only a sit down buffet.

Ive been to different parts of Mexico many times over the last 15 years, but out of all the resorts Ive stayed at over those years this is probably the worst. The hotel itself is okay, the layout of the hotel is TERRIBLE! It's like a damn maze. You would think they would have more signage around the property guiding the guests on where restaurants and bars are and how to get to different rooms. I felt like I walked miles just because I couldn't find places. One night I had to go get medicine from a family members room and I texted them that I'll come to their room to get it, well 20 minutes later I gave up. The food here was the WORST out of any other resort/hotel we have stayed at. When you go on a vacation you look forward to food and drinks, this place missed on both! The staff wasn't bad, most of them were nice. I just feel like for what I paid I didn't get my moneys worth, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Falsely advertised queen sized beds. They were full sized beds which made for terrible sleep for 4 people. I messaged the concierge who had messaged me regarding check in (Eduardo). He read my message and never replied to me. Ac was also not good. We were never fully cool enough to sleep well in the room.

Great resort for both families and couples/adults only. Staff were super nice. I enjoyed the food options and the coffee station. The beach offers complimentary kayaking. Loved the place! Stayed with wife and 10 year old daughter. Also note- their kids club is awesome aswell

Best family resort.

Pros: Great small water park for preteens. We enjoyed the decor and food of the indoor restaurants. Large suites. Enjoyed the entertainment provided. Service was friendly and quick. Cons: their "living in balance with nature" has led to a problem with feral cats and coatis. They seem to have become dependent on humans -- taking food out of bags, off of lounge chairs, and out of dumpsters. When we tried one of the outside restaurants, there were feral cats roaming around, going under our table, eating food off of the ground, and at one point nearly fighting less than 5 feet from our table. Overall: I WOULD recommend for others to say here as long as you want to just enjoy the waterpark and the indoor restaurants (no animals in either), the large suites, and the nightly entertainment. If you are looking to eat by the pool and enjoy the beach and you aren't comfortable with feral animals being overly comfortable around you, I would stay somewhere else (or at least make it a shorter stay here). We were planning to stay for 6 nights, but we left after 4. We booked another resort in Cancun where we could enjoy a beach and outdoor pool area free of furry creatures.

The Hotel handled the Hurricane Situation very well. They did a great job with preparation and recovery. The Restaurants are great. I enjoyed the smaller Buffets. So many times food goes to waste when a hotel tries to give too many options. There is no reason anyone can not be satisfied with the multiple restaurants and buffets available.

Absolutely wonderful staff. Made dealing with a hurricane simple, easy and safe.

There were animals over the food, all the administrative staff are very rude, they cant solve anything about our claims, the room was dirty, there were sand inside the bed and cockroach inside the room, the food was very limited in the restaurants I mean there is not much variety of food, is just the same everyday and somw food was in bad conditions, my family and I got sick because of the food, one day we were in a restaurant called flora and is an exterior restaurant and a raccoon took a bread from the bread bar and other animal seems like a big cat took some strawberries and other fruits and the waitress and other hotel staff left the food containers with the food in there, they didnt change de food touched by the animals, it was a terrible experience and they did not want to reimburse anything, they just tell us they were sorry about those situations.

Much worst than I expected and staff and room service wasn’t kind. They didn’t provid the room I booked. Room wasn’t clean and air condition nosie was horrible which never make me sleep.

Rooms were clean and spacious. 24 hour room service is nice. Service is excellent: Robcito L. And Gabriella at Celsius were fantastic. Alberto at the spa. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We stayed on the family side and there were several dining options although we were not able to get into hibachi grill. There were plenty of activities and entertainment for the kids.

Property is beautiful and can tell most staff are working very hard , but the pools were not being treated properly especially the kids pool and waterpark, my 10 year old caught Hand Foot and mouth disease symptoms showed the 5th day we were there. Also if you are coming to Mexico for the beach stay in Cancun, the beaches in Playa Del Carmen has so much seaweed the resort tried to clean it up as best as they can but they buried it into the sand so the smell is intolerable couldn’t stay long not to mention broken glass and other garbage buried in the sand but that is not the resort’s fault. Stayed 7 nights we could not get reservations at any of the many restaurants had to eat at the very limited pathetic buffet, didn’t bother upgrading to concierge because spoke to another guest there who did upgrade to get reservations complained that they couldn’t get any reservations even with concierge upgrade. This is our 8th time going to Mexico and have stayed at 3 to 5 star resorts. Only if you are a Reserve or a Meliá member will have a 5 star resort experience. If you book the standard room you will have a 3 star resort experience. We were in the Master suite which was very beautiful spacious and felt like a 5 star resort after 3 days at the buffet we only did room service there after. Do not book the standard room you will be very disappointed, which my other family members were in. Over all it was a very unsatisfying mediocre experience and will never come back.

great service, beautiful property. i wish they had more fun spaces for kids, like bowling. Water park is great for kids. We loved the food, Flora was our fav restaurant.

Overall, I really like the service; as a black family, we have noticed that they have treated everyone in a kind and respectful way, and there is lots to do for the kids. I love how late the kids club close. This has allowed the adult to have an adult time. The only issue I had was how late the dinner reservation was made. It could be challenging enjoying dinner with little kids at 10 pm.

I liked that it has a lot of activities for the kids and it’s very family oriented definitely an awesome hotel for families.

Everything was wonderful, kids had fun, food was great, eating options were good, the staff there were top notch.

Dinner quality went down drastically compared to pre-pandemic when I was there.

My family and I stayed here and we loved the resort. We will definitely be returning.
