The host (Grazia) was so warm, friendly and helpful she made it hard to leave. The property is spacious and beautifully appointed with every amenity we could have needed. There was a very generous breakfast, snacks, drinks and wine basket. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The location is absolutely central in Ortigia, nothing more than 10 mins walk. The property is surrounded by wonderful bars, restaurants and shops. We would love to return one day and would have no hesitation in booking this property again.

Beautiful, spacious apartment located in the heart of Ortigia. Everything you might need has been provided, along with a welcome-basket of goodies. Everything is tastefully done. Everything is clean. Our host Grazia is one of those people who turns hospitality into an art-form. All the little things were taken care of.

O apartamento de Grazia é muito bem estruturado, com todas as comodidades. Localizado no centro histórico, próximo a maioria dos pontos principais da cidade. Ótimos restaurantes na região. A cidade de Ortigia foi uma grata surpresa em nossa viagem, mostrando-se melhor opção do que Siracusa. Grazia é de uma simpatia única.

Não chega a se enquadrar em "não gostar", mas estacionar próximo ao apartamento foi um pouco complicado. Como sugestão, não cometam meu erro: sigam as instruções que Grazia enviar. Tanto Waze, como Google Maps, não te levarão ao local correto do estacionamento parceiro. Gerou pequeno desconforto ao chegar pela dificuldade em encontrar o estacionamento, mas em nada atrapalhou a estadia.

Great central location perfect for exploring, a very comfortable apartment with a separate bedroom and really spacious-lots of room for suitcases. A small well equipped kitchen with breakfast basket, lovely modern bathroom and French doors.Loved the natural light. Delightful responsive owner who made us welcome. One of the nicest places we have stayed in our 6 week trip.

A very elegant and beautifully furnished and appointed apartment. The extra touches made it a pleasure to stay there- quality towels and bedding along with a lovely welcome basket. You are right in the centre of Ortigia around the corner of the Cathedral and main square.

Alagona House is a fantastic, spacious apartment in a great location. Grazia is a fantastic host who provided us on our arrival with a lovely basket of goodies and a bottle of nice wine. Parking is a big issue in Ortigia but Alagona House have a relationship with a local car park which works fine. Would definitely recommend Alagona House to people looking for a very nice, spacious apartment in Ortigia.

The apartment was fabulous for our 3n stay. Grazia was a great host. The location perfect with everything at our doorstep.

We have travelled extensively throughout Europe and this would be one of our favourite accommodations over the years. A beautiful spacious, centrally located apartment that has a level of cleanliness that you won't even find in five star hotels. Despite central location the apartment is quiet thanks to the double glazed windows. Good quality linen and towels and very comfy bed. First time I have given a perfect score of 10.on this site.Thank you Grazia for a wonderful stay!!

The setting was excellent and the apartment was beautiful. Our host was fantastic - and left us a huge basket of wine, Prosecco, soft drinks, snacks, breakfast items etc. This was the best apartment we have stayed in, in a stunning location. I would have given it 11/10 if I could.

Lovely spacious apartment with high ceilings and really big rooms with 2 balconies in an amazing traditional building. All very comfortable and well furnished. Very good shower. The host lives next door and met us with keys and was really helpful, welcoming and accommodating. Fantastic location right in the centre of Ortigia a few steps from the Cathedral. Everything in walking distance, and we could keep our car in an underground garage a few minutes walk from the apartment. Would love to stay here again.

The room was spacious and super clean, with fully equipped kitchen. The host gave us a big basket of fruit and snacks, plus a bottle of wine. Servce is excellent! Just 2 or 3 minutes walk to Siracuse Duomo.

Alagona House is a beautifully updated apartment in a fantastic location in Siracusa/Ortigia. We loved the neighborhood and the street. You can easily walk everywhere. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable - great light, with high ceilings and upscale finishes. There is a kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator, sink and cooktop - with glasses, plates, utensils, etc. We enjoyed relaxing in the living room/sitting area. Functional and beautiful space. Grazia is the perfect host. Excellent communication the whole time. She met us with the keys and shared helpful information. We also enjoyed the welcome basket with snacks and wine/beverages that Grazia left for us. Please note that there is no elevator. But it is easy to access up a few flights of wide stairs.

This appartment is exceptional and probably the best we ever had in Italy. Located in the middle of Ortigia in an old palazzo building. This apartment is spacious and nicely furnished. There is a stylish bedroom, a living room with dining area, sofa and sofa bed and an anteroom with a small practical kitchen. Thank you for free water, coffee pads and some sweets. There is also a nice bathroom. We did not miss anything. Check-in was easy as Grazia was waiting for us at the entrance. Check-out was very easy, we just left the keys. Our host residents lived next door but we had full privacy.

For us it was a perfect appartment. People should know though that private parking in Ortigia needs permission. We parked outside the island in Syrakus and it was a nice 5min walk, then.

internet only worked at the entrance. such a great apartment but couldn't work in living room or bedroom due to lack of internet coverage

We have used Booking .com for many years and Alagona House is the best apartment we have stayed in. It has the ideal location on the best street on Ortigia. Cafes, restaurants, museums and the Duomo are all within minutes. It has a large entry into a broad tiled hall leading to an imposing marble staircase. The spacious three-roomed apartment has high-quality modern equipment and is tastefully decorated. Although breakfast isn't provided, the very large welcome basket provided enough food and drink for our continental breakfast for the first three days. Our hosts were unobtrusive but helpful when called upon. If you are looking for an apartment in Siracusa, make sure you reserve Alagona House.

I can only think of two factors which might give you pause for thought: parking is available but expensive and not "on site"; and the staircase might be a challenge for some (although we are in our eighties and had no problem) and it has no wheelchair access.

The apartment is stunning, beautifully decorated, spotless and very comfortable. Amazing location in the centre of Ortigia. Grazia who owns/runs this was amazing, great contact, helpful and welcomed us personally, with a lovely food hamper. Sensational value overall Worth knowing that it is a walk from any parking (pedestrianised street), a couple of flights of stairs to the apartment and it can be a bit noisy outside - all very much expected given the premium location. We will hopefully be back.

An astonishing apartment located steps from the Duomo. Huge apartment with just everything we could imagine, and beyond. The owner was so welcoming and nice, . In about 15 years with booking.com and after 100+ stays in variois destinations, this was the best one.
