Cheap and well located to go hike on the Mount Kinabalu. The sharing kitchen from the dorm is nice and well equipped.

The dorm a really basic and the night is quite cold with tiny blankets.

you might want to rent a car for the area because there is no Grab or bus service nearby and taxis are quite expensive

Very clean, nice dorm with 2 bathrooms and a kitchen outside - very handy! Closeish to the park - you can walk by a busy road which will take about 20 mins Nice café/restaurant with a view up the hill (not part of the hotel) Good wifi Rainbows every day 🥰

Shower head leaking and ventilation fan not working. Tv control no battery. Verandah chairs broken.

The room is spacious and has a huge balcony, which is very nice. It is well equipped with a blow dryer, a TV and a kettle.

The ceiling was covered in mold, probably because there was no ventilation in the bathroom. The hotel is also located quite secluded, you definitely need a car if you want to stay here as there is no public transport in Kundasang.

Amazing view from the balcony - a morning I won't forget too soon thanks to this! Great walking distance to the park as well. Really good value. Everything in the room beat expectations, I would definitely come back here.

The only decent vegetarian option in the restaurant for a meal was the breakfast set, with no meat added (can take the meat it comes with for the stray dogs, there's a few on the way to the park and in the park). Luckily there were restaurants on the way to the park with great veggie options (recommend the first one as you get on the main road). As other reviews say, the walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbours even brushing their teeth. All in all, stayed here one night only and definitely didn't bother us.

Lovely grounds and views. Food although expensive was tasty. Staff helpful with organising transport. Walking distance (25mins) to Kinabalu Park entrance. Not really a social hostel but maybe that's because I had a private room.

Room had a very damp/musty smell Walls are paper thin and can hear alot from kids screaming next door. Seemed to also be a kids play park with very loud screaming and playing so if looking somewhere to relax in peace after hiking this isn't a great option!

I like the whole area of this place The most best thing about this place is the worker at the cafe... They are the most attentive and awesome feiendly people ..

1. The hill that going up and down leading to the road and the hotel is really steep and narrow... Lack of safety. 2. No one is left working at the hotel after 10pm... So customers are left at the hotel without any assistant and if anything happen to our car at their carpark is our own responsible. Because they dont have any guards working there. 3. Please do have a room heater available for rent and also please install a heater in your cafe as well. Where the temperature can even drop down to 10°c when its a rainy season and monsoons seasons as well.
