Wouldn’t recommend. Beat up and poor quality. service is even worse. A lot of issues to get on the beach even though it’s right next door. Stay away

Everything was great, didn't like that my room didn't have a bigger couch or a sleeper couch

THE CHECK IN AND OUT PROCEDURE WAS AWFUL; THE ROOM WAS DIRTY,HARDLY ANY LIGHT IN THE ROOM, BULBS MISSING. ITEMS MISSINGFROM THE KICHEN THE WOMAN MANAGER AND FRONT DESK STAFF TELL LIES, THERE SHOU'LD BE IN PRISON. THE ROOM IS NOT FIT FOIR A DOG. TRAVELOCITY WI LL GET A BAD REVIEW BECAUSE OF THIS SO CALL HOTEL, VERY NASTY. THE WAS NOT EQUIPT AS ADVERTISED. THE JAMAICA GOVERNMENT SHOULD CLOSED DOWN THIS DIRTY PLACE. I AM TALKING TO MY LAWYER ABOUT REPORTINGF THE MANAGER AND STAFF TO LOCAL GLEANER NEWS PAPER. NO STANDBY GENERATOR, I HAD TOI CUT MY STAY SHORT, I LOST MONEY THE PLACE IS NO GOOD. The property is convenient to shopping. Housekeeping was unimpressive

This place has gone downhill. Should've listened to the transportation driver who shared horror stories from other guests who stayed here.

They do not answer calls nor text messages. No housekeeping services at all. Mold on the bathroom ceiling and sink. Missing lightbulbs in every room. Front desk sends messages also withoutaresponse. I will never return.

Unable to get any assistance with any needs. Staff was not friendly Needed toilet paper and was told manager would send someone. No one ever came. We had to get t paper from our family member who was staying there. Unacceptable. They never removed dirty towels daily even though we were told they would. Staff not friendly

When we arrived at Sandcastle Resort in the evening, we couldn’t see the property well as it was dark. However, in the morning when i opened the curtains, I realized we hadn’t gotten the ocean view room that we booked, instead, we had a view of the parking lot. I spoke with the young woman at the desk and was told she would have to contact the owner and let the owner know the situation and then call us back; she never called back and the owner never called. When we returned to the desk and asked again about our room (no one at the desk answered our calls), we were told the owner didn’t have any ocean view rooms available. I asked it another owner had an ocean view room and what could be done to remedy the situation; I was told there was nothing they could do. On the third day, we asked to have our room cleaned and the housekeeper (who was lovely) said she never received the message so the room wasn’t cleaned. The bottom line is: customer service was lacking, we didn’t get what we paid for and the cleanliness of the premises was less than desired so Expedia found another property for us. It was not the way we wanted to begin our stay in Jamaica. I would not stay at Sandcastle Resort in the future and I would not recommend It.

Overal place was poor would not recommend to stay there

Everything went wrong! I booked two beachfront suites, with three weeks in advance. Upon arrival, we were informed that they were not available. Instead, we were accommodated in two separated ones, even though the idea was having a flat with two rooms because we traveled with two teenagers. After complaining -Luvlee and Devon were very helpful- we were given two close by. One was nice and modern (B-23) but B-21 was nasty! Old, dark, without electricity in the socket were the toaster and microwave were plugged. The fridge door didn't close. The shower was so small that it was so difficult to bath, not to mention the mold! The only positive thing is the location of the flat, in downtown Ochi and the beautiful beach nearby.

Checking-in was fine, but when we got to the room, there wasn't any power. Went to the front and a young lady came back with me and turned on the circuit breaker. Went to get a shower, but only cold water was running. went back to the front desk and was told that there was a switch in the room that needed to be switched on in order to get hot water. I found the switch, and after a while we had hot water. Wanted to iron my clothes in the morning, but there wasn't any iron in the room. Went to the front desk and was told that the room I had was a private rental and they needed to contact the owner of the room. I left and returned later in the evening; the front desk clerk called the owner and gave me the phone. He insisted that there was an iron in the room, but there wasn't. The room I had was A10; it requires a lot of work. Bathroom, bed, and curtains needs renovation and changes. Unfortunately, when I booked, I thought I was booking with Sandcastle, and not a private owner. I stayed at Sandcastle and all was well, but this stay was very disappointing.

The staff was very helpful where they can. Checking in I had to wait 2 hours and an hour the second time due to private owners not leaving the key. Apart from that the bar, pool, property and beach are all very satisfying.

A lot of these are privately owned, and that means the cleanliness and furnishings depend on the owner, not necessarily the front-desk staff. The room's wireless didn't work for the two days we stayed there. It's in a central spot, on the beach, with a pool, but our king and "sofa bed" (a big air mattress) took up pretty much the entire room. Rooms are kinda dingy but serviceable. Staff was nice enough but didn't work super-hard to solve the various issues that cropped up. They probably get tired of trying to solve problems through the apartment owners.

People people stay away from this hotel Sandcastle Beach Resort or if you do go do not stay in Room A21 I booked to go there for three nights when I got there the floors were dirty the bathroom lights were not working the fridge smell horrible toilet paper ran out and when I go to front desk to complain they said they can't help because the rooms were individually owned which I was not aware of, so I asked if I could speak to the owner I had to go through three person to get to her when she shows up I took her to the room to show her the situation (she is a black English woman) she herself said it was not good and she promise to send someone to clean the floors and fridge and send us toilet papers and towels which we did not have by the way the bathroom floods until this day we have never received anything I had to go back to the front desk again to beg for toilet paper and the lady had to get it from other room to give to us. I had even asked to change my room and they said all the rooms were booked, my stay there were HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, this woman do not care about others ,who owns ROOM A21 she only needs money or else she would have taken care of her property. RUN DO NO STAY IN ROOM A21 it is not not well kept and they do not supply anyone with toiletries. I will never go back there.

I stayed at Sandcastles for a few days. The hotel condition was very pleasing. The room was clean, modern, spacious, simple, but stylish and very comfortable.

The front desk staff was great. The room was the most disgusting room I had ever seen. I left the hotel after 1 hour and checked into another hotel. I could not breathe with the bleach scent and definitely did not want my skin to tough anywhere in that room.
